KLEEN & Olympus Labs EP1C DERMASTR3NGTH & CONQU3R log.

Martial arts (while badass) doesn't sound like a very holistic experience for your body. Like powerlifting & strongman. Good for the soul, not necessarily the body.

I suspect the One would make a nice stack w/ Trest as well. You looking at the t/d or pinning some acetate or decanoate?

Not looking for holistic approach or to play it safe so much as being more well rounded and regain my athletic ability. Since I had been focusing on trying to compete again I have lost a lot of flexibility and what not. Mostly due to not stretching. However i tend to stretch all the time when I am doing martial arts not to mention doing something you love is as you said, good for the soul. However if I wanted to do something holistic I would opt for tai-chi. Realistically though with my daughter in dance I don't think there is going to be extra cash around for any lessons, but I will probably start working drills on the heavy bag, and ground drills on it on the floor as well then stretch.

The 1 would be nice but not exactly what I am looking for. I am already pretty sure I will run EP15TANE which epi loves me and I love it. I think I will run Dermatr3st and oral TR3ST preworkout. I don't know how to brew things, but since I am going to be running Peptides I will be pinning daily anyway. May have to contemplate it.

Yah who the fug cares what people thing when you look like a beast you are well justified. I know how brutal these routines can be as I have done a lot of routines very similar so I can relate how hard it must be. Actually I can almost feel it ... especially that leg routine ... fuggin slow negative squats are fuggin brutal.

Precisely! Heck my legs are still a little sore.

Okay so today was Triceps and Back. 4-0-10 tempo

Modified Triple Set 3 rounds after warm up
Decline Barbell Triceps Ext x7, rest 40 seconds move to next exercise
Incline Barbell Triceps Extensions x7, rest 40 seconds & move to next exercise
Standing Overhead Barbell Triceps Extension rest 80 seconds - this triple set ended up being a beast. Unfortunately at one point I explosively reverse curled the weight up to the catch position and my biceps or brachialis let me know I just hurt it. Still not healed up but I was able to continue on just had to be very careful.

Dead Lifts 4-0-1-0 tempo 275x7, 185x14, 135x21 - holy crap these were brutal the 4 second negative made these things just beastly! Good thing I did not try to go heavier due to being worried about my biceps because the weight ended up being just right.

Wide Grip Assisted Pull Ups - 4-0-1-0 tempo - 10, 10, 9- these were pretty intense I was using outward intentions on these so the negatives really had my lats burning.

My Brachialis or biceps was aching a bit so I had to stop and think should I push through the DB rows and risk injury or call it a day and go sit and stretch in the sauna. Well sticking it out almost won but intelligence finally won over testicular fortitude. Took some convincing to convince myself to stop...

This is what I avoided doing and I think it was a good idea with how my tendon was feeling.
One Arm Bent over DB rows 7, 14, 21, 7, 14, 21
I think this would have simply pushed my arm too far at this point.

I contacted one of the main trainers and asked him what was recommended and he said for now maybe I need to not do direct biceps work and just let my back work take care of them for a bit. So I am going to give that a shot.

With the bicep issue I'm surprised you opted for the pull ups. They always Seem to aggravate my bicep tendon where it ties into the elbow.

Great workout btw!

Yah I know what you mean. I am waiting to do pullups because a similar issue.

Good stuff, Chris, and motivating as always! I'll certainly need it as I kick things up a notch myself.

They were assisted wide grip and I am VERY GOOD at pulling through the elbows so I really limit the biceps involvement. Being a slow tempo and using intentions also keeps the weight off the biceps when done correctly. My first two sets were a decent chnk off of my body weight and the 3rd I had to drop it even further to keep tension in the desired area instead of compensating with the biceps.

Thanks and awesome to have you in here brother!
I'm that one guy that did that one thing we did together that one time...remember?
Just once... really? No one believes that...
Still got it on camera ;)
TWICE!

Today is date day with the wife. I am getting ready to go have lunch with her we do this every week since we work a few blocks away from each other. Not sure where we are going but it is always nice to spend time with her in the middle of the day.

Tomorrow is going to be another leg day and I am not 100% yet from last one. LOL this should be fun!

Okay guys the weekend was okay. Unfortunately the sudden pain from reverse curling the bar up to my chest has cause some residual pain. My brachialis is hurting and so is the rest of my right elbow... I gave it a rest this weekend but am back in the gym tonight for a work out with my son. For now plan on doing a full body of whatever I can do without hurting myself. However I may switch that up to a top to bottom Push / Pull workout. He said he wants to give lifting a go so I will more than likely not go into the gym for a little bit. That or only on occasion.

Diet has been soso, not going to lie I enjoyed entirely too much food this weekend. I was making some progress but made some food decisions this past week that were to put it bluntly more about enjoying the food than looking pretty. No guilt here I really enjoyed it.

I have a lot going on right now and have been messing with my own head on trying to get things done a certain way. I haven't had the big motivation for anything because every time i get out of the gate something to do with this damn arm pulls me back to the sideline. This time I am going to try to just keep on moving. I think for a little bit I am going to do Feeder Sets for my Arms 2-3 times per week and see if the extra blood flow will help out with the healing.

See the doc and get a prescription for Voltaren Gel. It will do wonders when coupled with a couple Motrin.

Ouch man! Not good! Glad you rested this weekend! Sounds like a smart switch up and perfect opportunity to get your son motivated!!!

My doc gave me a custom mix from a compound pharmacy. Has all the goodies in it, muscle relaxer, steroidal antiinflammatory, msm/chondroiton, and some kind of lidocaine for the pain. When I go back in I will ask him about that one.

Yeah exactly, talk about frustrating it wasn't even a lift so much as grabbing the bar to perform the lift... As far as tonight goes I will have to be very careful and avoid a few things and the others do some feeder sets to just flood the area with blood and circulation. On top of that I am going to start my peptides tonight which should help quite a bit.

Chris have you tried that tape you use for your joints, it's pretty good. I did my elbow the other day and didn't feel any pain. Muscle Aid Tape, it actually seems to sooth...

No, I havent tried that yet. I have seen athletes wearing it and know it works.
I hear nandrolone is good for joints :)
Oh how I know this and 150-300 a week would be a blessing for me right now...
eq and gh are better.
You know I have read conflicting information on EQ some say it really increases collagen production and then others say it has absolutely no effect on collagen and that is old school broscience. Lets discuss! If things do not get better soon the wife will end up approving something to help it. She can't stand for me to be injured too long. I get a little moody when not able to lift due to injury.

Okay so last night I did not train. Had a surprise visit from an out of town friend who was in towen for work. Just so happens she just had a birthday, so we took out for a birthday dinner. Arm is still hurtling tho, and it is so hard to believe that whatever happened caused my entire elbow to be sore on top of my brachialis...

Oh well I spoke with my son and we will work out tonight. Going to baby the hell out of this thing...

I think that surprise visit was needed! That's great you could take her out for her birthday too! So sweet! I really hope you feel better and can train a little with your son tonight!

I think you are probably right. Even now I am trying to figure out what I can do tonight... I am going to keep things pretty light as usual and use a lot of the same principles as I have been from the MI40 X2 regarding contraction and what not. So weights will remain low for now.
love2liftkat Good news that you will appreciate Jo finally moved up a size in pants from Juniors 00 to a Juniors 0 so we are seeing some more proof of improvement.

Nothing wrong with keeping them low so that it will be sooner that you can be busting through with tons of progress!!

Yay!!! That's wonderful!! I know she was excited about that! Never has a woman been so excited to go up in pant size! ;) I'm glad she's continuing to improve!

Exactly, she was pretty excited to be able to put on a different pair of pants without swimming in them.

Oh boy! I am still trying not to puke from our workout. A full body compound lift only workout in a 95 degree garage with short rest periods... Fugging Brutal!

Okay so the boy and I went out for our lift. Instead of messing with arms we just did 4 main exercises hitting the entire body.

Tempo 4-0-1-0
Barbell Bench Press 2 warm ups & 4 work sets
- I worked up to 225x10 on last 2 sets
Bent Over Barbell Rows 2 warm ups & 4 work sets - I went up to 185 but my brachialis said MERCY so I listened and dropped my last set back to 135 for failure.
Standing Barbell Military Press - 3 work sets on the last set my brachialis asked me to play nice so I put the weight down.
Squats - 4 sets

Do my best not to puke!!!! We were moving pretty quickly and it was ridicu-hot in the garage at a muggy 95 degrees... Wow I am not in good enough condition to jump into a fast paced full body workout in that kind of heat. Well I guess maybe I am because I survived it, and only almost puked twice.

As for the boy he did pretty well. He is pretty strong for his size and being untrained. I think he told me last he checked he was between 107-112lbs.

On bench he went up to 85x6 for his heavy set, I had him work with 65 on bent over bb rows, he had no problems and form is good. Standing military press he got 45x10 last set. Squats we worked with just the bar for him. He seems to have a naturally wide stance and his hips seem to have a good ROM. He was able to remain in the groove on the squats. We will add weight slowly here making sure to perfect his form. I have a feeling here in the next 6 months if he sticks with it he is going to have a mean deadlift & Squat. He also seems to already have the beginnings of some pecs. I am going to get some pictures of him and post them up so we can see how his newbie gains come along.

Very nice to see your son in there with you! Memories to last a lifetime. 95 is freakin hot and that's why I'm out in my garage at 6 AM!

I see your the still the Ultimate Machine brother! Your workout methods are always one to admire, and I just hope your pain starts to heal and go away, I know that can suck and put a halt to progress.

That's awesome Kleen!! Great wo and sounds like your son is definitely gonna take after you!! 95 is crazy hot especially to train in! Wow!

Haven't had one of those "want to puke" sessions in a while... I don't miss them.

That's Awesome Man ^^^

Good to be able to share what we love with our kids..

Looks like he may be like his dad to!
He has always been strong for his size naturally and is quite athletic. However he will be hard pressed to be like me in some aspects as he has a Growth Hormone deficiency. That is why he is between 107-112 at the age of 20. I can't remember if he is 5'2 or 5'3 but we are going to make him thicker & wider. He told me he has no interest in being as big as me, he just wants to be buff. More of a gymnast type.

No doubt it was pretty brutal but once we get used to it, it will just be normal. Honestly contemplating lifting in the AM and then training him in the evening while doing some Feeder sets for my biceps and triceps.

I see your the still the Ultimate Machine brother! Your workout methods are always one to admire, and I just hope your pain starts to heal and go away, I know that can suck and put a halt to progress.
Yes Sir, just have to constantly evaluate and make changes as needed until it gets better.

Yeah he is about the weight. Was pretty cool when I was warming up with 135 he said I can't do that but I will be able too pretty soon. Already more about the performance than the look so I think he will be more of a weight lifter or power lifter. He has such a great ratio to do really well at it if he wants.

Today is a cardio day. Nothing to major, I will probably head to the gym to do it since I just saw that we are expecting rain this evening.

There is NOTHING more enjoyable than working out with your son. I really miss that. Enjoy every second of it!
With the heat you had yesterday I'd think doing the cardio in the rain would feel good...lol

I know that as soon as he begins to see strength increases and changes it is really going to be awesome! I can't wait for him to see some of the changes and experience the joy of a hard earned PR.

Yeah if it was raining last night I would have walked a few miles in it for sure. I really want to do some other conditioning drills tonight. Not sure what. Maybe we will get out and push the Z down the street then have him push it back. :) That or do some tire tosses and maybe a few rounds of tabatta. I like to work really hard for intense periods more than doing long boring cardio.

My 15 year old daughter is getting into working out and may join the school powerlifting team, pretty cool!

Heck yeah! If only my dad would've gotten me into lifting growing up....he's a lucky guy!

I wished I had you as my dad.....awesome to be lifting with your son.
Thanks man that is a pretty high compliment!!!!
And again!!!
My 15 year old daughter is getting into working out and may join the school powerlifting team, pretty cool!
That is awesome! Have you shown her the video of the 13 year old Russian girl benching 240?
Gracias Sir!

Aw Shucks if my head wasn't already the size of a planet it might get bigger. Then I would need even bigger traps to support it...
How was he not put on GH? I wish I had...
He was but when my contract was up with the IT sourcing company I was working for my insurance lapsed more than 3 months so he lost the GH. Then it took 18 months to get a pre-existing issue covered once I got a job with insurance again. I didn't have the 40,000-50,000 a year to spend on it so by the time I was able to get him back on it his bone platelets had closed so no more growth available. He didn't live with me during his childhood and I was trying to get them to take him back and they put it off several times. So when he came to stay with me a few years back we took him for a bone scan and everything to see if he would be able to grow anymore and they said no. He grew a lot while he was on GH and seems to be pretty well adjusted as far as his height goes. Chicks dig cute short guys, give him a buff body and he will be in high demand with the ladies. LOL

That's unfortunate. I'm a short guy and I have trouble with it, both physical and mental. It's hard to hit on a girl yo have to look up at, and quite depressing when you hear your crush say 'I would never go out with a guy who isn't taller than me'. Happened to me a couple years ago. BTW my problem was I had an early growth spurt. 5' 6" by 7th grade. Then I just stayed there. Makes it even worse because I grew up being tall.

Yeah he had a lot of problems and he is very prone to opening a case of whoop ass on unsuspecting bullies. Lots of rage built up from the crazy things that people do. I won't get into the cruelty of other children but lets just say there was more than once I almost drove down to Alvin to put my foot up some kids fathers ass! Then he got more vicious and solved the problem. Keep in mind he was around 3-3.5 foot tall from 4 until 9 or 10. So the things that happened sometimes at the hands of cruel children made him vicious in his self defense. He has a bit of Lil Man syndrome but like I said he is relatively adjusted. No more insecure about that then I am about having a some gyno since puberty.

Funny thing is the things that mess with us so bad are not as bad to others. Interesting you mentioned the crush causing you some heart ache. It was my 6th grade crush that told me basically that I was a great friend and she really liked me but I didn't find me attractive because I was chubby with girl boobies. That crushed me! Well I told my sister her told her High School Football stud boyfriend and he came over with his old bench press and some plastic weights and gave them to me. He said "I had a belly when I was young too. Don't worry about it start lifting weights and no one will mess with you. That girl will wish she went out with you. If you lift weights your muscle will help your chest look bigger. So here we are 29 years later and guess who is still lifting!!!!

Oh the good news, 2 years later full on puberty, a growth spurt and a good amount of muscle later she sees me at the pool.
She runs up all excited HI CHRIS!!!!!
Me - Hi Julie...
Her- Wow you look so good, I can't believe that is you. You have so many muscles now.
Me - Thanks I work out a lot.
Her -Want to come hang out with us?
Me - No, that life guard keeps smiling at me and I don't want her to think I like you...
Her - "Oh..." Head down and moping as she walked back to her friends alone.

Me - Inside my head "HOW YA LIKE MY TITTIES NOW BIATCH!!!!!!

Badass comeback dude. I was also always the chubby dude with bitchtits. Even if people now say wow you've gotten short (their perception since they've gotten tall) they all also say wow you've gotten ripped, when they used to make fun of my lard ass. Only positive thing about being short is you can put on 5lbs and it looks like a total transformation haha.

And well props to you boy for being such a strong mofo in all ways. I'm glad to have another member of the 20yo shortie lifting club.

Kleen, I loved that story (and the How you like ma tittays now, biatch!) so much; I was dying laughing. I can totally relate. I've had so many gals that jilted my advances in highschool, & now when they see me they're trying to get all up on it - feels good to give them a taste of their own medicine.

The people who laughed, the people who put you down - they end up making you stronger than they could ever hope to become. Funny how that works out, isn't it?

Cool story Chris...worthy of a comic book ad :) Really couldn't you see that playing out on the back of a sixties comic book.

In my early teens I was always playing sports so I was in decent shape but let myself go later as the alcohol and drugs took over my life. I didn't get back into it full force till my early thirties when I got sober. Lifting just replaced drinking really.

What Does Not Kill You Makes You Stronger!!!!!!!!!! Fellow short guy here that everyone laughed at in high school!!! They are not laughing now!!!!!!!!!!! Bitches!!! Can you tell I have hidden rage in me? Lol

Lol I LOVE the story(ies). You guys are all kicking butt now and rubbing that crap back in their faces! It is amazing how mean kids/people can be! As we go through times like that, we only grow stronger though!

This is what I told my son too. Yeah I am sure sometimes when they say stupid things like wow you got short you want to reply with something along the lines of. " No I have been this height for a long time, however you were not this fat last time I saw you. "

Oh certainly I love running into the old HighSchool Jocks I played with for a while before I quit playing ball. They all hounded me to come back and then when I ended up quitting school they all told me I was going to be a loser. I ran into a few them several years later BUFF as hell was working making better money than them and they were already fat. As we did the exchanges of what we were doing with their lives many of them realized I stepped up my game and surpassed them.
I can not tell you how awesome it was to have one of the guys who was kind of a nemesis of mine because he was pissed i quit football. I was good and the team sucked so when I left over the coach being a douchebag he became this gnat in my ear... Cocky condescending and full of himself. We didn't hate each other or anything but we butted heads a few times. When i ran into him at a club it was AWESOME!!!! He was about 50lbs overwieght, not making good money and just a general mess. Of course for some reason he forgot how much of a jerk he became back in school so he runs up happy to see me.

He is all WOW you look great man. What have you been up to. You work at a gym or something?
Me - No man, I work in IT making good money plus I am a male dancer on the side. I just took the night off to have some fun.

Him = JAW ON THE FLOOR!!!!! Wow you work in computers. I didn't expect that. YOur just joking about the male dancing right?
Me - No man that is what I do now for fun and extra cash.

We chatted for a bit and to see him act with some humility was one of the most rewarding moments in that stage of my life.
It was a bit selfish certainly but to know I was doing better than one of my biggest detractors in High School was pretty awesome.

No doubt like if someone kicked sand in my face on the beach and stole my girl! Hell I felt like that I even think I bought that workout...

What Does Not Kill You Makes You Stronger!!!!!!!!!! Fellow short guy here that everyone laughed at in high school!!! They are not laughing now!!!!!!!!!!! Bitches!!! Can you tell I have hidden rage in me? Lol
Just a little and you obviously used that fuel to burn the fire that has made you the awesome guy you are today.
Lol I LOVE the story(ies). You guys are all kicking butt now and rubbing that crap back in their faces! It is amazing how mean kids/people can be! As we go through times like that, we only grow stronger though!

Yeah as long as we have some positive people around to move us in the right direction instead of internalizing and letting it destroy you. I was almost destroyed. People are initially shocked when I tell them the messed up guy and kid I used to be. It took several hefty wake up calls for me to get out of my self destruct mode.

Okay on to other news. Tonight is a scheduled lift however my elbow is hurting pretty good now. The brachialis and biceps is not bad just the tendon that runs between the point of my elbow and the funny bone is really sensitive and when I do certain movements it really lets me know it is unhappy. So tonight I am going to be very careful and concentrate on getting as much blood to the are as possible. I also just made an appointment with my A.R.T. guy going to have him work the entire region elbow, biceps and brachialis. I also started the BPC 157 peptide to help the healing it is supposed to be the absolute best peptide for healing in tests it healed severed Achilles tendons, torn quadriceps to the bone and a multitude of other sever injuries so as long as it is legit is should be pretty awesome!

Oh yeah my son told me yesterday it was all my fault. I asked him what and he says... "That I cant even operate the clutch on the truck, my legs are too sore." When I told him we had to do legs again today too he was like Dayum!!! Okay Dad lets do it I will stop being sore sooner or later. Sign of a true trooper right there.

Get an elbow pressure bandage(what they use for tennis elbow and use it while you work out. Then I've it immediately when you finish working out. It's going to give you fits for awhile.

You know what Turff i am glad you stumbled into my world, you have been a great resource in just the short time we have been in each other's logs. I will look for one of those for sure. I did just get some nice SBD elbow sleeves but I think they probably over due the support than is needed but perhaps not.

Thanks man that is a pretty high compliment!!!!

And again!!!

That is awesome! Have you shown her the video of the 13 year old Russian girl benching 240?

Gracias Sir!

Aw Shucks if my head wasn't already the size of a planet it might get bigger. Then I would need even bigger traps to support it...

LOL

And I mean it;)

My 15 year old daughter is getting into working out and may join the school powerlifting team, pretty cool!

I have a 16 year old daughter (plays rugby).. she works out with me the odd time, we went for a run together this morning was great.

Here is a pic of the little pressure band I've used. Also, the auto correct got my original post. It should've said ICE immediately afterwards. No sense in you having to go through the pain, been there done that. Anything to help a friend out.
