You're a more chill man than me lol. I see that kinda stuff at the ghetto gym all the time and I'm not quiet about it. Coincidentally I have had 4 co-workers **** their pants for for some reason, I am always the confidant they choose to tell. Its always "hey, um... so I shitmyself, I need to run home" NEVER TRUST A FART!
always reminds me of the poker saying "maximize the upswings, minimize the downswings". I think you're doing the right thing here. You're no rookie. staying active and training what you can when you can while you work on full rehab is a great move imo.

that thing is going to be HOT!
I snagged a farm truck a while back. 260k miles on it (Silverado, cause you know, Chevy guy) but the previous owner was a younger kid who needed to sell it to fund his new shop because he's a mechanic and going out on his own. He dropped a new 6.0 L76 in it and intentionally tuned it down. At first I wasn't sure if I liked it, but what he did was set it up so when you're driving a truck on a rainy day, you don't sit there and peel out at every wet stop sign. if you want to really get on it at 50-60mph it starts to come alive. but for a gas hog farm truck I am loving being able to stop and go and not be sitting there burning rubber everywhere.
Well... It wasn't so much chill, as current environment dictating a choice between somewhat professional behavior and bull in a China shop. I knew I could not let rage take over, I had clients on a couple hundred million dollar case nearby so just letting loose and screaming "Mother Fukker!!!!" then throwing a tantrum was not an option. I am proud I was able to behave appropriately, and honesty the situation was just absurd so I was lucky enough to be able to see the humor in the moment instead of having to wait and laugh later.
The change of clothes really saved the day. Also, if I had been in the gym I would have absolutely lost my ****!!! Alredy amped up on a pre-workout, and then that. No way I could have been remotely chill without the cloak of professionalism effecting my behavior.
Agreed on the taking advantage of what I can do. At the same time, I am really wanting some basics I can use as true measurables. I think I am starting to come up with a few ideas of how to shape a flexible program that incorporates what I can do, and what I want to be able to do into a trackable scenario.
Awww man now we’re talking! (The hotrod stinger, not the pissy floor)
Oh yeah, it is going to be sick, when he had the G70 with AWD and was running at about 700whp it was so sick and man it stayed planted even when all 4 wheels were spinning from 60MPH. I think somewhere around 600whp will be the daily, then cruises maybe a little higher, and save 800+ for the track.
That should be a fun ride!
Oh yeah, those things handle really well, and that 8 speed auto is no slouch. The AWD set up is fire because if you want to drift you can turn off the front, and on the freeway when gassing it, it puts everything to the rear unless losing traction so you get a lot less power loss from the transmission at freeway speeds. The Racing R&D department at Hyundai / Genesis really knows how to build them. I mean you can get a Stinger into the 9's with just a piggyback tuner, and some methanol.
That thing is going to EAT
Like the Cookie Monster at an Oreo factory!
Oh yeah, I mean I was even surprised how well I handled that. Plus I think you know, there is just a certain level of resolve you have to have to decide, YEP! I have to pull these piss-wet pants all the way up right now and just commit to the fact I am now wearing someone else's urine, and if i don't want the world to know, I need to act as normal as possible until I can get out of their view.
Yeah, it seems like there is always going to be that extra layer of warm up needed for the knees, at least as of right now they are bitchy. I will be getting some bloodwork soon, I am curious where my estrogen is. I have enough fat for it to possibly be up, but the issues with my knees being so damn creaky right now almost reminds me of a low estrogen environment. Could just be arthritis but I am curious about estrogen levels while doing the daily shots.
Yeah, I am beyond excited about that, also another note to brag about my amazing son. He let it out of the bag that his "Side Hustle" of performance tuning Hyundai / Genesis, and a few other vehicles is making more money than I make at my full time job, on top of his other already ridiculous salary. I knew he was making some extra cash on that, but holy ****, he is so far beyond anything I expected, and I have no doubt he will be a millionaire well before 40. He has so much hustle and drive it is unreal.
