Soooo, I've been in here (obviously) but haven't been logging my work-outs as much. Don't worry, I'm still hitting the gym like normal. I just haven't been logging as much, because I've been a bit distracted. Although yates84 & I have been together for almost 12 years & consider ourselves married (clearly) we have never actually made it official....for various reasons. Well, most of the variables keeping us from it are no longer in play & yates84 recently asked me to marry him again. So, we've decided to make it officially official (ha!) & have a ceremony in October. My brain has gone into planning overdrive. So, if I seem less active, at times, that is why. I will do my best to keep things up to date though. It does give me a bit more motivation though...gotta look good in that wedding dress!!

I guess it depends if they live in a common law marriage state. Congrats by the way!

This was how ours was, I think we ended up with a total of 20 people and that included the "Wedding Party" IE a Maid of Honor, a Best Man and the 2 boys both as ring bearers, hers gave her the ring and mine gave me my ring.

Nice. My wife and I got married in Bermuda with 20 guests. Immediate family and close friends only. We all partied for 3 days together before we got married barefoot on the beach. Everyone flew out the next morning after breakfast and we stayed for another week. Best memories ever!

I've been to too many weddings with hundreds of people. The bride and groom barely even say hi to half the people. Wtf is the point?!

Exactly! Trying to plan for & feed that many guests seems so stressful & expensive. Our reception is going to be a BBQ too. We plan to cook a pig & just enjoy everyone's company!!

Ok, I suck at updates this week. Hitting this new gym hard and trying to get my routine nailed down here. Will start updating regularly again on Saturday, should give me enough time to get things together. Honestly, I was hoping I was gonna win the powerball last night and disappear off the face of the earth. Oh well, maybe next time.

Just waiting for Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, Jay Novacek, Alvin Harper, Emmit Smith, Charles Haley and Moose Johnston to come back from Injury and then we will be good to go. They've been out for a while now. Lol.

Hitting 265 on bench after high rep explosive movements like clean & press is actually better than you think. Explosive movements take a toll on your CNS big time. Add to that how much 3 sets of 10 on them would wear the muscle down. Remember with explosive lifting it is the fact that each rep requires 100% effort regardless of resistance used that makes them take a lot out of you. Try some heavy benching without all of the explosive volume and see where you end up. Unless just working to burn energy, I would lower your reps down to about 5 on the explosive lifts, and lower if going over 3 sets. You could crush 135 for speed at 5 reps and really get a lot out of it without ever slowing the reps down. You want to stop before your reps begin to slow when doing explosive movements or you begin to negate the purpose of lifting explosively.

Decided to hit it hard from the jump this morning with a massive superset. Looking to switch a few things up to increase intensity a little bit. Eating to recomp and hopefully gain a little strength. Gotta chase this dragon...
 
Good grief wicked workout!!! Smh I can't wait til this hand heals I miss lifting!!

Ugghhh, I know that's gotta be tough. Really can't do much of any kind of lifting I bet.
