First off let me start with some background...
i am 6' 225 lbs. ive been going to the gym now for two years 5 nights a week. ive always have lifted weights in high school. but now i actually am paying attention to what I'm doing. i am looking for some advice on supplements. in the past i have takin some creatine, test boosters, and recently i made a bad choice (so im told) i was taking Androdrol from powerlabs. im told that was some pretty harsh stuff. my kidneys are happy im not taking that crap anymore.
in the past year alone my bench has gone from 200 to 315 one rep max. and my legs have really gotten pretty beastly. now i am at a pleatue and i think i need some supps to get over it quickly. what do you guys out there recommend? and why? i need something to get over this pleatue and then ill probably still take it in cycles after im over it just to have the extra edge.
i currently am taking Protein Shakes and Animal Cuts. (is that counteracting one another) one cuts one bulks... hell idk you guys tell me. i am currently about 17% fat and would like to be down to 12% by juneish, any advice for how to cut fat and maintain strength or add strength. anything is possible with supps right? my diet is already decent. lean meats, brown rice, eggs, etc....

Thanks,
-Cody

No, using protein powder and Animal Cuts does not counteract each other. And no, one does not cut and one bulks - protein powder should just be a convenience thing or something you use if you have to get more protein in; it is not a "bulker".

You want to lose bodyfat. You're above average in body composition for a male. The biggest thing for you to focus on is your NUTRITION. 'Decent' does not always cut it, and you need to make sure that your nutrition is set up for fat loss for YOU.

You can maintain and even gain strength when losing bodyfat, yes, but it's not about the supplements, and you can do this with only the Invalid Link Removed (creatine, Invalid Link Removed, Invalid Link Removed, Invalid Link Removed, and Invalid Link Removed) - which are all you need, really, having such a high body composition. You could perhaps add in a Invalid Link Removed and maybe a Invalid Link Removed, but they are not necessary.

No, not anything is possible with supplements. Supplements should NOT be the focus, and too many individuals place too much emphasis on them - supplements should only SUPPLEMENT your NUTRITION AND TRAINING!

I highly recommend that you read Invalid Link Removed - it contains comprehensive advice and information on nutrition, supplements (only the basics required), and training for effective and successful fat loss.

If you are looking for supplements nutraplanet is a goldmine, my top 3 companies are (in no particular order): controlled labs, anabolic innovations, primordial performance. Otherwise diet, rest, and training will get you to where you want to be.

Outstanding Advice Rosie!!!

Yes, fellow Sailor. I would focus on meals with lean protein, healthy carbs and some essential fats, which can be added in the form of raw almonds, walnuts, and natural peanut butter. I would stick to 6-8 oz lean protein, and 1 cup brown rice and veggies per meal. Breakfast should be 2-3 whole eggs, and the rest whites with some whole grain toast, or oats. I also like ezekiel cereal, or ezekial raisin toast.
Stick to natural test boosters bro. Synthetic hormones are great but unless you are getting on a bodybuilding stage like me, and 35 like me, you have no use for them. The results are temporary, and so pointless for you. Take care and good luck. Also get Arnolds book THE ENCYCLOPEDIA FOR MODERN BODYBUILDING or a book on powerlifting.

Rosie,
Thanks for the information. i was being sarcastic with "anything is possible with supps btw". can you recommend a creatine and test booster? i use animal pak for a multi and GNC's Amplified wheybolic Extreme 60 for protien. and what are BCAA's? amino acids??? and how do i create a diet specifically for me?

i like to refer to myself as a dirt sailor. never seen a ship so its only appropriate in my opinion. thanks for the advice. i am in the process of building a better diet. basically what i am gathering is its all about the protein and good carbs. where i am struggling is with the "good carbs" what is considered good?
Just out of curiosity what is/was your rate and rank?

Hoorah!

BCAAs are branched chain amino acids. I recommend reading Invalid Link Removed.

If you don't know how to design a nutrition plan, then get a professional to do it. Otherwise, you need to know your Maintenance and then adjust your caloric intake from this based on your goals, and include foods that you are not sensitive to, that you like, etc. As I said earlier, I highly recommend that you read Invalid Link Removed - it contains comprehensive advice and information on nutrition, supplements (only the basics required), and training for effective and successful fat loss.

It's not just about protein and carbohydrates.

"Good" is going to be relative to each individual, but basically your processed sh*t is NOT "good". Look at complex and simple carbohydrates sources like wholegrain bread, sweet potato, basmati rice, fruit, etc.

I am DC1, But I was HT1. I just converted for advancement. I agree with Rosie, and just responded to your PM. It was a learning process for me. I started doing what I could afford, and would eat what I could between meals, and even for my meals at work. Its all about what you can do.

Your diet/nutrition is whats going to get you to your goal. If you are at a plateau, and you HAVE to take something to get over it, i suggest stack prime with free test. also, you should be on a multi, creatine, and protein as it is. if you want creatine options, see rosie's post. those are all great creatines. you diet will get you cut. if you want to add a supplement/stack to your cutting process, HGHup with Prime is always amazing. you will gain strength from this stack rather than losing while cutting. you can also take IGF 2 with Free test. those 4 products i just stated are amazing. you cant go wrong with any of them.
