Jim: Performance is King Log.

Yeah I don't remember seeing anything in the rule book about it, or seeing people use them.

All the USAPL guys say it should be legal for raw PLing as long as they don't add any support to the lift (rebound)
USAPL allows neoprene sleeves, Tommy Kono, SBDs, Rhebands, and Titans.

Probably neoprene.

Preferably for both.

APF Raw.

SBD sleeves are getting a lot of positive reviews lately, they are longer and thinner than rhebands, and more expensive. People are ordering 2 sizes small for competition and more pop.

So, is it worth paying extra for the Titans or going with the EFS Heavies for $25??

Super Heavies are like $35 right now.

Find out if they are legal.

Randoja made a comment about EFS quality lately, mine are in great shape though, I bought them last year.

It doesn't say anything about it in the rule books (according to Napalm). :dunno:

Edit: did some Googling, looking like no. Which is ridiculous.

But I should, however, get some wrist wraps. APF allows 1M x 8cm (I think). Which ones are good lol?

You want cast-like or springy?

I have elitefts normal and I get spring and support out of them. Nothing crazy, but definitely makes a difference.

I don't know about the wear and tear as I rarely use them; I save them for max efforts.

I didn't know there was a difference....

I've never used any wrist wraps, hell I've only used knee wraps sparingly.

What kind of spring does springy give you?

What's your best bench?

I like em more springy as I'm not a huge bencher and I use them on squats as well, though I have used more cast-like ones when I was squatting heavier in a suit.

Just imagine a cast, it won't allow much motion and is very supportive. A springier wrap is less so supportive and allows more movement but springs back.

251 at a meet.

I squat with a false grip so I don't think it would matter for squat.

I thought they were all cast like, but I guess I want springy.

I squat with a false grip, still like my wrist wraps for over 405 though.

I like these in long: Invalid Link Removed

Been using some old APTs lately though, I should have some more coming in, I could send you a pair if you want to wait a week.

Yeah, if you don't mind that would be awesome!

Love my Inzer Z's. Definitely springy but there's plenty of support. I can get maybe 10 degrees of flexion and extension when I pull them tight. I don't need something to take over for my wrists, I just want a little insurance.

RE Upper:

Warmup: simple 6, EFS pullapart series x 1

Pre: 2 Jack3d Micro, 4 Max Pump, 1 Green Magnitude
Intra: 1 BCAA/SAA

CG (2" from slick) 1 Board Press: 185 x 10, 165 +40 x 10, 165 +80 x 5 -- 165 +40 x 4

Dips: +45 x 5 x 3, +45 x 4

a1. Wide NG Behind Neck Pulldown: 90 x 12, 110 x 12, 110 x 11, 100 x 12
a2. Strict DB Row: 60 x 6, 70 x 6 x 3

Holy jesus the pump....

Koklov Press: 75 x 8 x 2

b1. Lateral Raise: 20 x 10 x 3
b2. Reverse Grip Curl: 40 x 10 x 3

Ouch, that pump.

Wrist was fighting to give out on the RG curls today, besides that everything felt fine. Dips were awful, but that's how they're supposed to be! Overall, it was a good workout. I severely underestimated that 80# Chain on the last set, so I hopped off dropped the chain and pumped out 4 more. A little more delt volume today than usual, but they needed the extra work. ME DL on Monday, can't wait for that.

No gym Friday, it was pouring rain and I didn't really feel like it (read: I'm a lazy bum).

Does your wife have a log on here so I can follow?

This is literally like 30 minutes away from my house.....

I'M SO CONFLICTED (mostly because I don't know how I'd do, read: not sure I can even accomplish the events :biglaugh: )

Only one way to find out, man. I'd just do it.

Pretty sure Kalle wrote this for you:

Especially the part where he says:

"I also decided to compete at a Platinum+ show that April that was WAY above my ability. (winner turns pro) i zeroed just about every event. I look at this two different ways. It was a bit short sighted in a way but from day 1 I have never been scared of competing no matter the weight or level of comp. I see this all the time with people that are waiting to get strong enough! Just get in there and do it."

Lol I think I'm gonna do it and have some fun with it.

It's afternoon!

Only two. I went to the gym and had fajitas for dinner. I haven't slept in that late since I stayed up to 6AM playing hockey on PS3.

You didn't shave!!! :D
