Jdg's 26 Week Prep

I've not used T3 so I can't comment on it but if you started it 3 days ago then yeah, it's most likely the culprit.
I'll check my bp before work and keep and eye on my pulse the next day or two. I slept horrible last night, but not sure that was the reason or not.

My bp doesn't really run high on t3 but can tell you the tren does it for me not quite so sudden but more like a climb till it gets noticeabl

Last thing I'll say regarding diet. Find a layout and stick with it. You're going to start getting into the weeks that really matter and if you keep bouncing back and forth with your plan you'll end up taking steps backward

Yeah that's my hard point. My coach was trying to reassure me to trust the process don't worry about the numbers as long as your looking better each week

I agree. I need to leave it alone.

i think we tend to overanalyze diet because we "feel" like we could be doing something better when in reality it is all about staying consistent. You're ****ing killing it though man.

I posted on my other log about my HR and the T3 and will post it here also. I will reassure everyone, I will not endanger my health, just to keep dropping BF. It I don't adjust with in a few days I will cut back the dosage, and then stop it all together if my HR doesn't go back to normal.
It was kind of spooky waking up with my heart racing. It was beating hard enough I was leaning up against my wife and she said she could feel my heart beat!

Aside from posing and board shorts what's different? I'm curious.

From my experience and the shows I have been to, Physique is more of the beach body look? Lean, but overly lean 5-6%, good abs, chest, shoulders. BB'ing is more of the whole package. Quads/hams are a big part, back, traps, rounded out shoulders, very lean <4%.
Don't me wrong I am not knocking physique at all, just trying to answer the best I can ;)

Physique is alot shoulder to waist ratio don't want to be to dry or hard wide back good taper but I agree bb is evetching diamond calves shredded glutes good routine

I think that's why Sadik lost to Jeremy at the Olympia, Sadik was too dry and jermey just popped at all angles.

Lol T3 is nasty stuff btw.

No cardio tonight. Just got home from work and am going to spend the evening with the family.
Will weigh in at the gym in the morning and will try to check my BF again.

Doing a little more research on T3 and heart palpitations is a possible side effect. My heart is racing and beating pretty hard again this mor is so I'd say the T3 is the culprit. Going to skip this morning dose and cut back to 25mg and see what happens. I am also going to start taking a baby aspirin every day. I used too, and had quit taking them.

Sweet!! 194 this morning. Abs poppin, getting a lot more vascular!Invalid Link Removed

Took it easy on the cardio this morning, 20 mins fast walk on the treadmill. Today is leg day and I didn't want to push to hard this morning and hinder my workout this afternoon. Good thing is I get to get some carbs in my today, especially before I hit legs!

late, super late, but subbed!

Looking to learn from one of the AMs greats! Bless me with knowledge jdg76

Ha! I don't know if I would go that far or not, but I will do what I can to help ;)

And never to late, I still have 10 weeks to go!!

I would definitely say that it's the T3 making your heart race! It's making you hyperthyroid and it will also effect your sleep! Taking the asprin is good but definitely reduce your dose! What was it before you upped it to 25mcg 2x's a day? (Sorry forgot to look back)

Legs and vascularity looking great!!

Kat I didn't actually up the dose. I was taking Clen and T3 both a few weeks ago and having bad anxiety issues so I dropped them both. I was only taking 25mg a day at the time. I started off at 50mg this time. I skipped my morning dose and will take 25mg before bed. If I wake the same way in the morning I will try taking it in the am. I'll figure it out ;)

nice, seeing some real serious leg definition is a big milestone... Yah posing is tough, a lot of people would be surprised, I know I was. There is training shape but posing shape is something else.

Yes it is. I tried to do some posing today too after training legs. It was tough, I sweat a lot, but i pushed through and hit them all twice, plus the quarter turns. I did a mock routine to my music, and 60 secs really isn't that long. With it being a little slower music, and if I move around on stage, I will only be able to hit 5-6 poses. Which is fine with me, it just seemed like th minute went by quick.

Something else I find that a lot of people don't realize is how much BF/weight you have to lose to get down to <4%. I may not need to lose 25 more lbs like I thought, but I had a guy tell me today that I was crazy that 15lbs tops would work. WTH? really? That's dropping 6-8lbs of fat, then another 6-8lbs of water that last week haha. No way.

Hit quads pretty good today. I was struggling with squats, so I kept telling myself, I WANT FIRST PLACE DAMNIT!! SECOND IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!! Hey, it worked haha.

Leg extensions-
170 x 10
190 x 10
210 x 10

Squats-
Warm up 135 x 15, 225 x 12
315 x 8
335 x 8
355 x 8

Lunges- holding 2 35lb dumbells
2 x 8

Leg press- 30 SECOND REST--- feet close and high with toes pointed out slightly, working on outer sweep
8 plates 7 sets 10

Seated calf raises-
4 plates x 8
3 plates x 12
2 plates 2 x 20

10 mins posing afterwards. Then time to eat! :D

Chunky ass legs.

CHUNKAY!!!!!!

and I don't mean fat....

Subbed! wondering what kind of supplements your using and if you keep red meat and any other meats high in your diet or to a low?

30 mins LISS cardio this morning. Treadmill incline 4 speed 3.

Dropped the T3 to just the evening dose, 25mg. Woke this morning with my HR at 120, but it wasn't beating as hard as it was yestarday. Will keep an eye on it the next few days and see what happens.

Tren screwing with me. Anxiety been high lately. I went to the doc a few weeks ago to up my anxiety meds. He didnt want to yet, but said he would give me a low dose of xanax to hold me over for a few months. Didn't tell him what I was on, but I do have other life issues I am dealing with so I used them as a reason. He said if it didn't get better in a few months he would up my meds. Hopefully my body adjusts to the tren and I don't have to use the xanax. Don't get me wrong, I like them :D, but to much makes me sluggish.

On oral tren right now, anxiety on the increase (was wondering if taking something is ok).... as i have to keep that in check for sake of sanity lol... but the bigger thing for me is the night sweats, my first round of that did not have them this bed.

I'm not a doc so take it with a grain of salt.Personally I don't think it will hurt to take something to help. I take lexapro or anxiety. I am working at a gas station part time right now while I study for my boards, so I can not deal with anxiety at all working there!! The doc gave me a very low dose, .25mg of xanax. I have enough to take 3 a day for two months.

I am dealing with night sweats, trensomnia, and anxiety. The sleeping issues I can deal with, the anxiety I have to get control of.

Thanks.. I have lorzepam/ativan at home, perhaps will split a pill and give it a go. Thankfully no trensomnia yet...

Xanax is nasty stuff. Some say it gives them a rebound affect once it wears off.

I've taken it before. I'm fine with it ;)

Xanax alters my sense of taste. Makes everything taste weird. And it makes me not hungry. So I try to avoid it for bulking purposes! But sometimes I need it when I get so frustrated and go into a blind rage...

Xanax makes me calm the F down. :)

Had a heavy chest and bi day. Have some life issues that are stressing me out, so I took it out in the gym. Nothing like being able to push heavy weight when you're pissed off! :D

Flat DB bench-
80's x 8
85's x 8
90' x 8
95's x 8

Incline BB bench-
135 x 10
165 x 8
185 x 8
205 x 6

Machine press- neutral grip
190 3 x 10

Incline Flys-
45's 3 x 10

Cable Crossover-
30 sec rest
50 7 sets 8

Straight bar cable curl- 30 sec rest
90 7 x 10

Hammer curls- across chest
40's 3 x 8

Preacher Curls- single arm
30 3 x 10

High cable double bi curls-
50 3 x 10

Hit a few poses after my workout. Will go through all of them after cardio tonight..

How do you feel about incline dumbbell flys? I feel they build the outer perimeter of the chest too much and don't do enough for the upper center. I always try to do cable incline flys, but its hard to find the room in my gym. Im through with dumbbell flys. I will not do them ever again. For the longest time I did them with only close grip bench for my inner chest and now im disproportionate. My inner chest needs to catch up to my outer chest... And since your stronger body parts always take over, I feel barbell bench press also builds up my outer chest too much. So I am constantly in a state of catching up my inner chest to my outer chest.

I try to do a higher incline and almost bring them together over your chin. You will feel the upper pec contract almost against your clavicles if done right.

I know what you mean. at the top of the motion don't have the dumbbells completely perpendicular to the floor because there will be no tension. Lower the dumbbells a little and there will be tension at the top of the lift right? so instead of a 90 degree angle with the floor. maybe like a 75 degree angle with the floor?

Umm, ya it sounds right ;)

Leg day again :D

As you can tell it took me a few reps to get the weight right between my feet, but once I did they were constant tension on my hams.

This routine calls for chest and shoulders twice a week. I think instead of that I am going to split up my quads and hamstings. So I will do quads and calves on Monday, and the Hamstrings and calves on Friday. Friday will consist on incline curls, standing curls, and STDL. My hamstings are finally coming in and I would really like to get some more size on them before I compete.

love2liftkat I bumped this forward so you could see how I get set up doing the incline db curls

Ahh didn't think about using the decline ab bench...that might put my feet closer to the ground! Thanks!

Yup , then you use your feet to pull the DB forward and catch it as it falls over in between your feet. It takes a time or two to get it adjusted right but is a very good alternative exercise to use for your hams.

10 mins stairmaster. 30 sec level 4, 30.sec level 10. 40 floors, .90 miles.
Cross trainer elliptical10 min. .93 miles.

Cooling off walking on treadmill, then back here again in the morning.

Cardio sucks!!!

I bring my elbows together rather than my hands this causes greater contraction in the pecs, I have to do full pronation for this to work properly though.

25 mins cardio this morning. Treadmill level4 speed 3. Will do high intensity tonight.
