It works! Does it?

Friend of mine is promoting it works! Body wraps. Seems gimmicky to me but she's claiming 2-3 inch reductions in an hour... And claims that several wraps are equal to an actual cosmetic procedure. Anybody have any experience with these? Here are the ingredients for examination.

At first glance seems like a "Hollywood" type fad. Too good to be true type of thing. Maybe others have scientific reasoning but seems like a joke IMHO.

I'm there too, I've seen many purported "before and afters" of people she claims to know and says her husband who's one of my best friends "lost" 2.5" tonight. These people aren't the diet and training types like most people on this forum and Definitely have the weight to lose, but there has to be something to it if they're claiming it works. I just don't see how. I inboxed Dsade to look at the ingredients.

sure it works -- if you wear the wrap all day long, it will hold in all that fat and make you look instantly skinny!
compare it to shrink-wrapping a stack of boxes, makes all them bulgy corners and angles rounded and holds in the excess...

never ceases to amaze me that, even on this forum where ppl come to get educated about supplements and the general knowledge is so much better than what irl joe schmoe has, ppl still take the time to ponder and post threads to discuss these ridiculous late-night made-for-tv miracle scams

really? it's called ignorance (read: lack of education) or agenda
one or the other (and sometimes both)

there is no magic bullet for this stuff, never has been, never will be
please learn some physiology, and broaden your metabolic understanding

***ency, I have learned much over the years, I was simply asking if anyone had experience, good or bad, with this product. Don't be a dick.

so now I am a dick for being real with you and giving you a firm answer? huh, how shrewd of you
I care less about measuring the amount of your knowledge, or quantifying what you have learned here on this forum...
but if you really have to ask questions about these wraps, I will simply state that you have not learned as much as you think you have

quite honestly: I do not blame you if you feel silly for asking such a question
if it makes you feel better about yourself to call me names and take exception to the way I state my position, knock yourself out

My wife bought it and from what I learned you need to do all 3 in a week or 2 week span to "work". It's some gel in a shrink wrap type material. I think she wore it all night. I am guessing it "works" cause the area will sweat and obvious being pushed in a few hours will old it together more. Not worth it IMO.

You're a dick because I didn't ask for your opinion, I asked if anyone had experience with it. My only regret in posting my question is that you replied lol.

I used it.

It's temporary.

My sister used it with no affect

It looks like the ingredients alter circulation at the site of application. This creates a transient reduction in volume, but it will just be expanded again the moment u take it off. Similar to doing a set of curls, getting a pump, then losing it 5 minutes later

At competitions I hear of Bikini girls doing this all the time before getting on stage. All I can see is water weight shifting. No personal experience with it, but cant see how it would do anything.

when a wrap is done properly and stacked with ECY, DNP, bulemia and excessive, compulsive cardio you can get some amazing results!

Well, I'm glad I always have to see for myself. My friend got me to try this product and if I didn't see it on my own body id be skeptical to say the least. This is me after ONE treatment with the wrap. The first pic is directly after removing it, the second is 72 hours later.

I'm looking forward to using the next 3 wraps and documenting the results. I have a trip in 2 weeks to Jamaica so this is perfect!

It's smaller for sure but I can't imagine it staying like that for too long. You paid for this?

Surprised no replies

Unless it burns fat better than anything currently on the market, it is just redistributing it away from where you applied it.

I have a corset you can use for much cheaper.

Well my pants are looser all around, and I'm not bulging out anywhere else lmao so... As far as I know it releases the fat from the cell, obviously I work out to burn it off... Sell your corset at a garage sale

Check my post earlier. It's not fat loss. It's local vasoconstriction, leading to less capillary spillage into the interstitium, effectively diuresing the area of application

Whatever it does, it consistently produces positive results. I think it's a great jump start to a fitness plan or a great end cap to top one off for a special event. Also it seems to help the skin my skin is pretty damaged from being a fat kid, then losing/gaining several times. They do plenty in my opinion for the cost and I'd surely use them again

Coop I need to define 3 words in your post just to find out wth u mean lol can you simplify it abit? I'm not sure if what you're saying is positive or negative

As long as you know what to expect. It's a purely aesthetic thing and you will gain the weight in that region back shortly after coming off. But while you're on it, it looks great...that's the nature of diuresis.

Whatever it is, I think seeing results is a great way to stay motivated. Someone's always selling something, but when the something helps results it's Sadly the exception in today's age of pink magic etc

Don't buy that ad LOL. "Detoxifying fat cells." By diuresis, I don't mean water loss. I'll state again, it is interstitial fluid loss secondary to vasoconstriction.

Ok I thought that word was like diuretic no?
It is the equivalent to diuresing the area of application. But you aren't going to be pissing more water. I only used diuresis as an example because I didn't expect you to understand what I meant with respect to the interstitial fluid shifts (no offense, just trying to speak clearly)

What's weird is that over the course of 3 days the results improved with out additionally treating the area. I'm trying to understand how it works, I mean if you eat a bunch of sodium and "retain water" the fluid shifts to under the skin right? But then drinking water makes you piss out the water and it carries the sodium out, but I don't think this is what you're talking about at all right?

When I'm not super tired, I'll try to explain more clearly. Haven't slept yet this weekend so I'm off to bed for now

No prob I found some info I think I'm gaining understanding. Thanks for the bread crumbs to find the answers I'm looking for
