I have seen so many people speeding, improper lane changes, headlights burnt-out...If i was a cop i would have wrote a decent amount of tickets in the past 2 weeks.

Stake, I believe you. You always come across as helpful and mature. I was surprised when you told me you were 23. Most 23 year old guys that I know, are out fist pumping in affliction t-shirts and getting mystic tans.

Btw don't fist pump the day before arm day... It's one hell of a bicep work out :p

My chicks a club head lol I get stuck being the DD. I hate it because NOTHING good happens after midnight. Thank god I only have one weekend off a month

I try not to fist pump the same day I take creatine nitrate. Lol nothing good happens after midnight. Reminds me of a line from Chris Rock, about ATM's being available 24 hours a day. He said "if you takin cash out at 3 in the morning, you up to no good".

Caveat: I've also seen Dave on duty. He responded to a kid sleeping in his car behind my house one day - very out of the ordinary. To his defense, and to be honest, I was impressed with his professional behavior. It's a dangerous job, and I do really admire cops. As much as I'd like to get away with kickin' a little scumbag butt every now and again, it's not a job I'd want to do every day. Live hard, party hard - that's how the guys I ran with that day see it. I can see that, but I don't want it for myself.

Read the news report about it. You can watch the guy complying anyway. Pretty cut and dry.
 
There are loads of good cops out there. I know many and used to work out with a good one. However like any job anywhere in the world there are retarded douche bags working the same job. Like this guy (if any of you have been to pike market in Seattle, you would remember this guy) who was mostly deaf and had his back turned while carving wood with a legal blade as is his profession.

Compliant or not, thats not my point, the guy could have easily been shot, since the radio dispatched call says disgruntled former employee, with a gun, shots fired, hows the cop rollin up alone on that guy gonna feel/act/over react in that situation. We've all heard about ex employees going berserk and shootin up their old workplace, and their ex coworkers, if Im first on scene with a guy like that, Im makin damn sure Im going home at the end of my shift. Was it rough, yes, was it harsh, yes, was it unnecessary, I dont know, was the suspect potentially a violent felon who just fired shots at his old job, that needed to be immediately, forcefully and absolutely subdued to prevent any possible harm to the officer, any other citizens, bystanders or passersby, I dont know.

I have one very important thing to say here... labeling all cops as bad, eager to fight because they got picked on as a kid, etc. etc. is stereotyping. Stereotyping is very unfair and no different than racism! All these videos really prove is there are good cops and there are bad cops!

Take this video being offered above as an example... the Police officer had no way of knowing he was deaf and we do not get to see exactly how it played out. I mean he very well could have had an itch to stir some $hit and get a chance to kill someone and claim self defense, but we were not there, we didn't see it, so who's to say the guy didn't turn around and make a bewildered gesture towards the officer, because he was deaf, that made the officer feel threatened? I don't know the answer and you don't know the answer, and without that information it really is unfair to make a judgement call either way. I will say it is a very unfortunate event either way and I don't think the deaf wood carver meant any harm, but we weren't there, we did not experience it from the Police officer's point of view and therefore I believe it unfair to make any judgements in favor of either party

I'm trying to be very politically correct here and make sure everyone knows I am not taking one side over the other, just saying that it is unfair for anyone to pick a side when they don't know the whole story or have all the evidence/facts.

I know this is way off subject, but maybe some of you will see the correlation that I am trying to make. Two years ago I was taking a statistics class and in it, a real quote was taken from FORD motors..."In a 2007 poll, American consumers chose the FORD Escort over the HONDA Accord 9 out of 10 times!" I was like what... BULL$HIT, then the teacher explained, it was a real poll and the results were 100% accurate, but, what they failed to explain is... FORD motors took this poll asking 10 different HONDA accord owners, who Accords were all 10yrs old or older and asked them if given the opportunity, would they be willing to trade in their 10+ yr old Honda Accord for a bran new 2007 Ford Focus, and 9 out of 10 said YES! There's your poll and it was perfectly legal! So what is the correlation, the correlation is that without the full story, you can pretty much use the limited information given and present it in a way that can turn Black & White into multiple shades of Grey! Whooo... time to step down....:soapbox:
