is the time right for a bulk?

I weighed in this morning at 189lbs. This is after about a month and a half of being back in the gym on a good diet. I started out at 204lbs so I have lost 15lbs of chub. I am 6'2" and am fairly lean except for a little gut and a small layer over my chest still. I would guess my bf% to be somewhere around 20 but that is a total guess. My question is this, should i continue to strip of the fat and then bulk or bulk now? Might sound stupid but is there a way to bulk without putting on much fat?

if you really are 20, then no, its not time to bulk. either post some pictures, or get your gym to caliper you

Ok so I just got back from the gym. Had them measure my body fat%. it was 14.68%. here is a photo. Keep in mind that I have only been at this about six weeks now. lol

from the pic, I would have guessed a percent or two higher, but its soooooooo hard to say from pictures. thats not too bad then, I'd still think a little leaner would be better before a bulk. maybe 5-6 lbs of fat loss over 6 weeks would be best, then start a bulk. and be careful on the bulk too, don't just jack calories up fast, bring them up slowly and keep an eye on how pants are fitting closely

^^agree - diet difference between a cut and a bulk for me is mixing protein with water versus milk and maybe a little pb. ~500-800 calories / 40-60g protein difference

I guessed myself at closer to twenty so i was a little surprised by the results as well. ok i will go up slow. I'm not to sure on the losing 5 or six more lbs that slowly. I lost 15lbs in about 5 weeks. is there a danger in losing weight too quick? All i did to lose the weight was rid my diet of junk and eat six small meals a day. I haven't gotten to the point of counting every little thing out every day. So when i start to bulk, it may be kinda tough to know how much of what to add. Not sure that makes any sense. What is the best way to keep track of what I'm taking in for cal.,carbs, and protein. sorry for the 20 questions but I want to do this right. i don't wanna bulk up with a bunch of fat.
Thanks

Well, loosing the weight faster generally means you are more likely to be loosing muscle too. So to preserve what you have, loosing 1-1.5 lbs a week is best.

As far as what to add back in, realistically to get 500 calories more a day 1 glass of milk and 4-6oz of red meat generally pretty well covers you. a little natural peanut butter isn't bad, neither is fresh fruit + vegetables

for tracking you can use the diet thingie here, or use fitday.com

Also your macros are just as important when cutting as when bulking. Like I said, get a good cutting diet so that you are loosing roughly 1lb. a week (3500 calorie deficit per week). If this diet includes 2 protein shakes a day, mixed with water and nothing else, then to turn that cutting diet into a bulking diet you just mix your shakes with milk and fruit and natural PB. This will take your 500 cal/day (3500 cal/wk) deficit and add 1000 calories - making it a 500 cal surplus/day (3500 cal/wk). Adjustments can be made if needed.

so it's no wonder i was losing the weight so quick. I have been counting and watching my macros the last few days and most days I wasn't even hitting 2000 cals. i was right around 1g/lb on the protein. I gotta get this shat figured out. Thanks for the input.
