Is the protein powder worth it?

*EDIT* Yeah, I meant to type "Is THIS protein powder worth it?" as the title....Oh well.

Came across some EAS Premium Protein priced at $27.99 for a 6lb bag. Here are the details:

Now, I realize that the price looks good for the amount. But i've heard that the bioavailability of soy protein (even isolate) is terrible.... 130mg seems like a hell of a lot of sodium. And 70mg of cholesterol per serving is pretty damn high for a protein powder isn't it? Let me know what you guys think....

Oy, I wouldnt touch that soy protein, and theres a startling amount of cholesterol in there. At $24, a 6lb bag of ATW would have been about the same. If you're tight for $$, I think LG is going to have a pretty good discount code on their new Lipotrophic Protein this week that will last a little while. Pea protein has a pretty solid profile.

i dont care for EAS at all.........you can get it at wal mart and costco for cheap too.

Yeah, this particular kind is at the CostCo by my house right now. I couldn't find any real info on it until I went to the Canadian version of EAS's website. They sell it over there I guess...

Overall consensus is that this sh*t sucks huh? Initially, this was very appealing to my current financial situation, but I guess I'll just have to spend a couple more bucks and get something of better quality. Hopefully the Lipotropic coupon code is a good one....
