In the Mail ....

I grabbed 4 tubs at Black Friday -- 3 sour gummy and 1 fruit punch. I actually just opened fruit punch like 2 workouts ago (after finishing 2 tubs of sour gummy) and I'm pleasantly surprised. Not sure how to describe it, but it's unique enough that it seems like its own flavor, rather than another FP.

That said, I need some free 99 in my life...*pokes Bob with a stick* lol

I love seeing what everybody gets, It's like Christmas morning !!

Lmk what you end up thinking about that stuff...some of the face stuff gave me a weird skin rxn so I tossed most of it and ordered jack black

I've used their charcoal wash and I liked it. Probably won't use all of it but the sample pack was free. How do you like the JB? I have Jack Black, Lab Series, Every Man Jack, and Kyoku in my list of stuff to try.

The JB scrub is awesome. Their charcoal wash is good too but honestly it’s like 3-4x more than L’Oréal men’s charcoal wash and I actually like the L’Oréal one better so I stick with that. Kyoku scrub is pretty good too but it’s kind of gummy, it’s weird but you’ll see if you try it. I We are very confident in our masculinity btw.

Nothing wrong with us taking care of ourselves. I have a bunch of different stuff I use

MuscleTech Nitro Tech Vanilla Funnel Cake

Taste

Vanilla Funnel Cake – Funnel Cakes are a popular dessert you find at a fair. They are deep fried dough that is covered in powdered sugar. At first I thought this would be a glorified vanilla, but I was wrong. This flavor is heavy on cake batter with a luscious sugary aftertaste. I personally really enjoy this because funnel cake is a favorite dessert of mine. MuscleTech did a great job on replicating a very caloric dense dessert, but the buttery undertone of the dessert aspect is the only missing piece to the puzzle. Overall this is very well done and easily one of the best flavors on the Nitro-Tech line.

Mixability

I mostly use protein powder mixed in yogurt to make sludge/protein pudding. The powder mixes on the thin side (mostly isolate and concentrate). There are added thickeners in the protein powder, which make it thicker then most straight whey proteins like Optimum, which is thin as water. While this is not as thick as blends it's a fine mesh between a straight whey and blend. When mixed in a shake I did 6-8oz with a few ice cubes and it came out with no clumps.

Formula

Per Scoop:
2g Fat
2g Carbs
24g Protein

The formula is mostly WPI with WPC complimenting the protein matrix. There are added gum’s and thickeners to help thicken the protein shake (but not by much). The protein is also flavored with sucralose as its sweetener. Overall a low calorie protein powder that is very cost effective and straightforward formula.

Cost

I got two tubs at a B1G1 50% off and an additional 20% off making it around $37 for 4 pounds. At that cost that is very reasonable given the cost of raw materials on the market today. Let alone the flavoring on this protein is one of MuscleTech’s best in the nitro-tech gold series. For the cost, flavoring, and how well it mixes in shakes and pudding it was a steal of a deal to try a very highly praised protein powder.

Nice review!
MuscleTech Nitro Tech
Not my favorite flavors on the market but they do run some good deals like this from time to time. It it's one of the easiest to mix. Water and a shaker cup 5-6 shakes and you are ready to go.

Animal SNAK Protein Bars Review

Taste

Rich Chocolate Peanut Butter – This bar is a duo of peanut butter and chocolate glaze. What I do appreciate is how each flavor is in an equal ratio, which smothers your taste buds with both flavors. The chocolate is dense and packs a bold flavor, while the peanut butter is creamy and smooth. Take a Reese peanut butter cup and mesh it into a protein bar with all natural ingredients. This is the closest thing I could compare it to. Very well done!

Peanut Butter, Honey & Oats – The coating on the bar is a pure peanut butter flavor. Since the Animal Snak bar uses nothing but natural flavors you can taste the creaminess and density of the peanut butter. Once you dig into the bar the raw oatmeal texture is noticed as well as the sweetness of the honey in the aftertaste. Each flavor compliments each other perfectly as nothing overpowers one element. All in all a very good bar that really hits each aspect as expected.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chips – The coating on this bar is very similar to Peanut Butter, Honey & Oats. The major difference to this bar is it is packed with chocolate chips and chopped peanuts. The texture of the crunchy peanuts and chocolate chips mesh very well with the rich peanut butter glaze. You get the saltiness of the peanuts to help increase the amount of flavor each component provides. Overall I really liked this bar because of the huge chocolate chips and peanuts, and most of all because I am a peanut butter junkie.

Double Chocolate Brownie – The milk chocolate coating and moist brownie aspect of the bar really created a fantastic one two punch. If you are not a diehard chocolate lover this bar may be too strong to your liking. What I do enjoy is the mixture of dark and milk chocolate that encompass the bar. The inside texture is soft and provides the brownie texture you would get in a SinFit and Fticrunch bar. The surmounting amount of chocolate is like you are chewing on fresh fudge.

Texture

For an all-natural protein bar these are extremely soft, and by soft I mean you can puncture them with your fingers. I figured these would be dense like a FitCrunch, SinFit, or a MuslceTech NitroTech Crunch, but that is not the case. The bar has a nice coating/glaze on top that provides extra flavor and richness. Overall I like these because right out of the wrapper they are great to eat. Some protein bars are a little too hard which require you to either let them sit out in the heat or be microwaved to be tolerable. Then there are some companies who are too soft they taste like laffy taffy. You could heat them up for a few seconds to have the glaze melt, but not necessary.

Formula

Per Bar:
Calories ~ 350-375
12-15 G Fat
34-39g Carbs
6g Fiber
25-27g Protein

Animal Snak uses whole food ingredients like rolled oats, peanut butter, and protein from milk. They also use real honey into the formula and mix these in kitchen aid mixers. These provide up to 27g of protein a bar with no artificial flavors or sweeteners. Some people get a lot of bloating on protein bars due to high sugar alcohols. Since there are no added sugars, which help this, will digest very easy. Animal Snak was made to be an effective meal replacement bar that resembles whole food. Animal did a great job on doing so.

Cost

Box of 12 - $18.80
Singles - $2
Animal Snak had an intro sale of 20% off a box (~$24) making them around $1.56 if you bought a case of 12. For a protein bar that resembles a whole food formula make up and packs a ton of quality calories it's a very hard deal to pass up. If you just want to try out one bar you can find them for around $2 on multiple webpages. That is going to be cheaper then picking up anything local in a grocery store, which is a fantastic deal. Given the flavor, profile, and texture of these bars I would highly suggest them for someone who wants a very easy digesting and great tasting product.

I was using the L'Oreal Men Expert charcoal and liked it a lot. I can get it locally, too which is an added plus. Do you like the JB more than L'Oréal? Quality skin products are a better purchase than supplements imo.

On a supplement note, Sinister bars are meh. Waaaay too sweet. Fake sweet too. Very soft and a great texture, though. I don't think I'd buy again.

I will try the Funnel Cake if someone has a good deal on it

I like JB for the scrub and L’Oréal for the charcoal wash. JB actually has an awesome three in one if you have to shower at the gym.

Will be Logging this starting Monday

I think you’ll enjoy the FitMax. It’s very well dosed, so you’re getting more out of the 30 servings than a lot of products would give you even if you used 1.5 servings of them (ex: using a 45 serving tub over 30 days).

might be looking into this in the near future

Good snag! I always used the flavorless to add to other things. PES doesn't make that anymore do they? If they don't that was an even better snag!

I hope they do bc I was going to Reorder soon. Or just make something similar for HPS and I don’t mean that in an arrogant way, I want to bring out a solid Ergo/Recovery product

jtmass I don't know if you have had this before or not, But the Birthday Cake is Really Good
