I have CTS

A nerve conduction test has confirmed that my Ulnar nerve is trapped at my elbow, Cubital Tunnel Syndrone (CTS).

This started some months ago and I was waking up with part of my hand and fingers numb. I read up on it and had the feeling that it would end up an operation :(.

Still waiting for the doctor to come up with a recommendation but I don't like the idea of a nerve transposition. I don't have any problems with muscle control or atrophy yet although the sensory part is running ~30m/s slower than the rest (I also have a MG Anastomosis, I don't think there are any motor fibres in my Ulnar nerve at the elbow, they join further down from my Median nerve - It's an anomalous thing that showed up in the test :nervous:).

Has anyone had any experience of these injuries? I banned myself from leaning no my elbows ages ago and sleep with my arm straight. Not doing any tricep isolation as that seemed to make it worse before I discovered what it was.

It could have been due to my constant elbow-leaning at work (and at home), mountain bike riding or the weights and possibly a combination. I've read that conservative treatment is usually the best but that means no bending my elbow .

bro there is no surefire way to pin this on anything. Every one leans on their elbows at some point in life. I was doing it while reading this....which did make me stop leaning on em and made me feel freaky.

Sorry to hear about this man, you do seem very well read in the field, or at least about your specific condition.

Hoping things go well and the doctor comes up with a great solution.
