Is the issue that Phil (and many more of us) have some sort of hate or discrimination against homosexuals? Or could it be that a large part of our society has a problem with people that disagree with their own belief on the subject?
Phil doesnt hate gays, he said quite the opposite and since none of us have personally seen him relate to them one on one, who's to say he doesnt love them?
I also dont agree with sexual immorality, or crippling drug abuse, or lying, cheating, divorce etc...but does that mean I hate all others that do? Absolutely NOT! I'm an offender of these from time to time as well, while I dont live in or or find peace in that lifestyle, I myself have committed such things so how could I hate or look down on others for it?!
Why r we arguing over this? The outcry should be in the hypocrisy of our society. People expect us Christians to embrace their values and beliefs, compromising our own? How is this even fair that we shouldnt have our own opinion about things? Is my belief that loving others despite their wrongdoings, giving them full acceptance, a bad thing for our society? The way I see it, Phil has a belief, and others r outcrying at his belief, condemning him for it despite the fact that his belief poses no threat to society and breaks no law. Sounds like a form of oppression if u ask me..
And I agree with everything KingKong said just now, not that my opinion even matters.
