What do you think about the carnitine / choline product? I know you originally mentioned the choline was way to low for your liking then there was discussion he may be using a better form or something. So just curious if the lower dose worked as well as what you were taking previously or not. I am considering add in something like this in a little later and wanted to know your thoughts there.
Well, there’s no comparison to the ~150mg of choline I was using from Derel Strength periodically for comp prep, but I also don’t think a bodybuilder would generally need that much, short of a Dante Trudel/Jordan Peters
progressive overload style of training.

I think it’s going to be beneficial for someone using their carnitine for fat loss/pre-cardio, and overall it seemed helpful. But I stacked it with a scoop of Infinite Brain, which has some AlphaGPC already.

Carnitine specifically is not incommon to have some nearly immediate PIP. It’s not delayed or something you’ll feel next day like classic PIP, but more like wherever you pin it may be a little sore the rest of the day. The best solution to this is to actually pin in a muscle you’re going to be training immediately, or will otherwise get a lot of bloodflow. Some brands figure out the recipe better than others to get little or none, but it can be the nature of injected L-Carnitine to have this bite post shot.

I put a cc in my quad right before I trained chest & triceps, and there was never any acute soreness during training or the rest of the day that I noticed. I’ll take a second application tomorrow before legs & report back.

Despite pulling on kilo plates this morning, deadlifts just continue to keep feeling better and better! 363 was very low RPE, could have did much more, but only adding 5% weekly is letting me adjust gradually while getting quality practice in with very manageable weights to rebuild safely. Added weight/volume on the leg stuff and knee isn’t any worse than last week, so that’s also encouraging.

Used the carnitine w/ choline again today - noticing a little quad soreness, but it’s a lot better than some of the carnitine I’ve had previously. Had a great session & pleased with the endurance boost from the 500mg. I woke up late and needed to keep a better pace this session.

Made great progress on everything again. Definitely a tough session but that’s basically the point of training with progressive overload and it was accordingly very satisfying. Tricep Pressdowns with the whole stack are awful though, and I miss lighter high reps on that movement. 2x8 is barbaric for that isolation.

Officially beginning a blast today. 300 test/wk has been going good the last month or so, health markers are solid, so moving to 72mg test c daily (504/wk). I never use testosterone at this dose solo; there’s always other compounds muddying the water when test is up that high historically - I want to see how 500 test with some Exemestane treats me all around, and then will adjust things from there later.
 
Straight bar press downs don’t crunch your elbows? Lucky.
They make mine crunchy for sure, I try not to use the straight bar if I don't have too.

Who you calling Lucky? They feel like they are about to explode the last couple weeks! Especially the right one, that’s had pains from EZBar lying extensions in the past. 😂

Just trying to push through, I think only one more week of this meso before a deload into a new block.

Those Titan elbow sleeves have been excellent though; I wear them through all of my upper body days right now (besides the Chin-ups). Definitely letting me push harder with less pain & faster recovery. My bicep isn’t getting adhesions as fast using them.

Best $20 spent in a while! Those bad girls are money. Helped mitigate a bunch of tendinitis that was accruing in elbows and forearms.

It's going to be a great year end!! Your recovery definitely seems to be moving full speed at this point 🔥 🤘

I don’t remember if I mentioned it here, but she pulled a hammy on the second rep of a 340 axle deadlift 2.5 weeks ago.

Got her on 2.5mg TB500 e3d and 15mg Mk677 nightly - she carried a 450 yoke today and was able to clean & pushjerk a 140 log for reps without issue, so she is recovering really well. If some light axle deadlift goes well later this week, I’ll breathe a little easier!

Oh wow, glad she’s recovering from the pulled hamstring. Sounds like she is doing pretty good if she was able to carry a 450 yoke. The TB500 should help a lot, that and BPC 157 are some amazing compounds. They are a Godsend for my old butt. Hopefully she continues to heal up and everything goes smoothly leading up to her comp.

Thought I was extra heavy yesterday morning suddenly seeing 246.0, so I took a dose of Exemestane last night - still woke up even heavier at 247.6! This last few days bumping up to 72mg test daily is really blowing me back up.

Going to increase load to 282 instead of 272 next week for the last micro since that will be 3 plates on this Smith machine 😆

The shoulder press is a silly Nautilus one that is the easiest plate-loaded one I’ve ever seen probably. Probably easier than Hammer Strength even, and I have to use a bit of a limited ROM due to my elbow - more of a half press. So take the weight with a grain of salt!

But I do lift a lot more than other guys at the commercial gym on it, and I am making linear progress, so there’s that too.
 
I always feel a bit like a dork when I put away the barbell and wrap up accessories on a couple machines, but I have to admit it's nice to be able to get some volume in, feel the pump, enjoy the TUT, get a good ROM and still be able to tell how much lower impact it is on joints and hands.... just feels like a smart way to get more work in.

The further you get along the path, the harder it is to keep going and the more willing you’ll become to turn over more stones to try to keep finding new ways forward 😉

Man it always feels good when you’ve had to battle nagging injuries to be able to get back on the gain train and are able to keep progressing pain free.👍

Skipped all my bracing stuff tonight - the Smith was wide open during my entire walk, so I decided to move while I had open access to it, considering this gym is a mad house at 6pm. Will do some core tomorrow at home.

Final session on the Smith Low Incline Bench, so I repped 3 plates for a new PR. Gave everything hell, & I’m very happy with the results of this last block. One more lower body session Friday, then it’s time to deload and get back to some real powerlifting now that I’ve put some quality size back on.

It’s tough to say with full authority yet; I’ll know more based on how tomorrow’s deadlift at 400lbs & the deload squat session next week goes (where I’ll be returning to training that movement). But my gut is telling me it’s going to be alright, as long as I take my time with raising intensity.

I have been 265, 266, 268, & 270 at peak morning weights from 4 different cycles over the span of 3 years. Those muscle cells don’t just go away, same as fat cells they can be refilled easier than totally new tissue can be created - muscle memory is a helluva thing!

Been a damn minute since I’ve pulled 4 bills in front of my body, from the floor. This was very easy, still only a soft neoprene belt, using a standard Texas powerbar - lots of runway to keep progressing this. 70lb jump in load on hacksquat was also no problem, so that’s encouraging for returning to squats next week.

I was planning a more percentage-based progression for the next block, but I think I will be making such rapid linear progress still for a minute as I return to the big 3 that wouldn’t make as much sense as the obvious: listen to my body & ride the wave. I really am not in a rush to compete.
