I like the Don't stop when it hurts, stop when it's done. However I think for some of us it is a deleterious practice. I tend to love that kind of intensity to the point I do it too much and cause some overtraining that my joints have a hard time recovering from. I can remember a time when every set had 2 drop sets to failure. It was pretty ridiculous but I loved every minute of it of training like that. Unfortunately my joints did not.![]()
Well, I meant more in the context of working through the burning stuff that’s not so fun. Those high rep stepups to a foam box are actually for strengthening my knees, but they do require I suck it up & do the work!
