Hyde’s Strength Odyssey

That squat is Awesome !!

I may have to try this foot roll thing ...........

You’ve gained 35 lbs and are moving mountains again, no surprises there! Well done!

Got a body scan:

255lbs
26% bodyfat
110lbs lean mass

So about 8lbs heavier, 1lb less muscle, and 3.5% more bodyfat than 8 months ago at the meet when my back gave up. But now my back is healthy & I’m just as strong on less aggressive drugs than at comp. Very pleased - got my strength back even better, and all I have to do is shave off 9lbs of chub. Fair trade!

More bloat coming off. Not pushing the food like before, in a positive way. Gear levels should be down around ~400mg by very rough guess since my last shot was on the 3rd.

New guy joined me again this morning at the commercial gym. Always hated hacksquat, but not burying it ATG seems to more or less eliminate the knee pain I always associated with them. Forgot the light Legpress I had planned, but definitely still a productive day.

Sounds like a good time! That’s some big weight on the shrugs, I need to try holding it like you mentioned on the last set I bet that is a burner.

Great looking work outs......................

I should have probably been more specific, but I am not holding the shrug contraction - when the 15th rep is done, I continue to hold the barbell until my grip gives out.

It’s usually pretty cooked just from getting through the shrugs!

Great looking work outs......................

You are to thank for helping me remember the Dimmel Deadlifts as a good glute builder. The new guy really liked them, and agreed the band is really what makes it, much more than the barbell.

Dimmel Deadlifts - I will look that one up !

Dimmel Deadlifts (short-stroke RDLs with glute emphasis that Matt Dimmel popularized when they helped reach his 1,000lb squat) can be seen in this video with Chris Duffin:

Start around 8 min 45 seconds to see how they should look. You can stand on short bands hooked under your feet if you want to have them banded how he does here, or to do them how I do choke the band how he has at 10 minutes in on “The Stallion”

Always wanted a cheaper one but never pulled the trigger, and now one of the best models out there basically just fell into our lap! It’s in great shape too.

Very Nice and a Great Price !!

Lucky bastard! Love the hybrid Swiss football.

Awesome to come in here and see all of the progress you have been making come to fruition in the last couple of weeks. Congrats on the PR, that beautiful squat, and the elbow inflammation backing down a bit.

New multigrip bar is a blast - love the knurling on it. Curls with it seemed to go well. Overhead is depth-limited regardless of grip, so I just stuck with the ROM I can load pain-free & touched my chin every rep. This is the furthest point in training from a PR attempt, so now is the time to focus on balance over specificity.

Nice work. Making me want to use mine next chest day.

300x5....niiiice!

Thanks! About 136 in your neck of the woods. This is 2.3kg over the last time I had a 5’s week, and not a brutal RPE.

Nice work. Making me want to use mine next chest day.

I have always loved doing skulls/rolling tris with a Swissbar, and the angle on the close grip was perfect for them! Something more moderate for tris than going hard on a JM Press with the SSB.

Weights felt pretty good. Left knee started popping during the set with 460. No actual pain, but now it is popping loudly & obnoxiously as soon as I bend it almost constantly - so that ain’t good Wife had to do all the driveway shoveling because of it.

GEAR UPDATE:

Yesterday was 2 weeks since any long ester shots, so I pinned 60mg test e to begin cruise. Suddenly got some significant chest acne the last few days, so I believe androgens are now quite low relative to estrogen. Plan for next couple months will be:

-120mg test e/wk
-100mg primo e/wk
-100mg active turkesterone (2 caps of IML’s)
-10mg GW7042
-2-300mg l-carnitine 4-5 days/wk
-10mg pregnenolone & 25mg DHEA sublingually preWO only

I know that dose of test split into 2 shots along with carnitine should put my total t around 1,000ng/dl trough. Primo will keep total mg over 2/kg without driving estrogen load further.

Collagen synthesis should be promoted via the Turk through ERb interaction, general E2 from test & DHEA will hit ERa, the 7042 through PPARb/d, Pregnenolone via the PR, and Primo through the AR. If estrogen feels like it’s too low, I can bump the preg & DHEA up to daily administration, increase DHEA, and even raise test some if still necessary.

The wrong product was sent to me instead of the Super Cardarine, so that will start when/if I get it. I am looking for the positive lipid and blood glucose effects for some health restoration; any joint help & neuroprotection is a bonus.

The old "My knee hurts so honey you are going to have to shovel the driveway" trick

It sucks when things start popping for no reason!

Interesting take on the Turk. All the young natty guys are raving about that stuff over here at the moment.

Same here. Even my little brother who has never done any goodies was asking me about it. I guess I better jump on this bandwagon.

I am not really worried about gains; as soon as I blast again it’s going to blow away anything the Turk could give me over these 2 months in a week.

I am specifically leaning on stuff Vigorous Steve has recommended to try for joint integrity and the stuff Wesley Inman noticed with his hand and the study he noted about the findings on collagen synthesis.

I just really need to keep everything held together so I can keep positive momentum in my training, so I am willing to try it.

What brand do you use? Never heard of it and read a little and thought might give it a try.

I ordered Iron Mag Labs since they are a sponsor here and seem to be more affordable than other brands while offering at least as good a product.

WES15 is a valid code if there’s no other sales going.

It's always good to support the Board Sponsors !!

Knee is still swollen and stiff this morning. Stayed off of it most of yesterday generally, then put some Helios on it and wrapped it with an ace bandage last night before heading to the grocery store. Kind of had a limp, but as long as I kept the strides short it would stay stable.

Thinking I am going to say screw it and pull the trigger on using Primo instead of Masteron this cruise. I was worried about not knowing how I’ll respond and having another bad experience like EQ (crashed E2, thus bad lipids, too much increase in blood values) that drags cruise out further, but I think I need to play the long game here.

If primo could potentially help my joints repair better, I need to find out.

Sorry to hear about the knee. But strength is looking sweet on bench and DLs! And glad you’re enjoying the multi-grip bar. (I’m thankful mine is knurled too!)

Interested in hearing more about this Turk supplement. Never heard of it. Need to do some reading.

Godspeed regarding the knee!

Hope it’s a quick one. Weird, I’ve been pondering some primo after I finish my gear cream log. No experience with it but I was looking at joint health. And overall feel good.

New Titan Olympic EZBar is here! Bearings spin nicely and this thing feels solid, like it will last a long time & could take getting dropped without bending. Feels like $62 well spent

Also, got on the stationary cycle and leaned back as far as I could and peddled slowly, increasing speed gradually over 22 min until I got up to my usual warmup speed for training. Knee has been more mobile and less swollen since that it seems, like I was able to flush it out a little.

Maaaaaan, a free rogue Mg bar and a new curl bar? Niiiice! $62 is a steal.

Sorry about the knee man.

Turkesterone is one of those products that has suddenly popped up all over the place again, similar to ecdysterone. Both were pretty popular back in the 90s if I recall, but never panned out to what they were hyped to be (ie, steroid like gains). Quality/sourcing seemed to be the key. Interesting to see if these latest ones actually have any merit.

Interested to hear how @Hyde finds it after running it for awhile.
