Hyde’s Strength Odyssey

No that was just an example of how when I get the elbow too far down too close into my body it pinches or pulls something that causes terrible shooting pain. Trying to pop the db back for the initial press triggered it hard.
If you hold your arms out straight infront and rotate both hands up and down is there any pain or restriction? Also try same thing arms straight out to side?

Kinda sounds like a Rotational stabiliser if you can bear load out wide but not in close

I’m assuming when you say rotate hands up and down you mean palms facing down & then rotating to up. If that’s correct, then yes there is some resistance at end ROM in my left elbow both with arms straight out in front of me and also extended out to my sides laterally. I just kind of assumed that’s residual stiffness from my distal bicep tendon being reattached slightly lower.

NOT to say bicep tightness wouldn’t exacerbate this, or could even be part of the root issue, but that hasn’t been my inclination yet. Although it does seem probable that that surgery could have allowed some negative compensations to develop over time in my movement patterns if I didn’t restore ROM 100%?

I appreciate everyone’s support & input!!! Ideas are always welcome.

Btw 600mg/3cc glutathione glute shot (along with 200mg l-carnitine subq) last night did seem to really help with residual inflammation. That stuff hurts as soon as it goes in every time, and then a dull ache til you go to bed, but it really seems to be a positive. Also woke up after 8 hours of sleep (a totally normal amount for me) feeling massively more refreshed than usual.

Good to hear mate!

Forgot about the biceps reattachment. Probably going to give you grief from time to time.

As John Meadows used to say, “This is money well spent.”

I remember a time when it was mainly frozen chicken breasts and bags of GMO bottom-shelf rice. Very blessed to be able to get the good stuff these days!

Looks like some fine dining about to take place!

Really disappointed in this crockpot: less than 5 hours and it was already well done by time I temped it! Hoping for medium. But still came out nice and soft, great flavor and nothing tough. Smashed some right after the gym with some taters!

Still looks tasty! I have been eyeballing these and wanting to try one out on the green mountain smoker.

Seared it before hand after rubbing with a little salt & pepper & avocado oil, then placed it in with chicken stock, potatoes & some garlic & oregano. Easy peezy and delicious. My baby boy just ate some and enjoyed it all too.

What are you going for on your max?

Well, the training cycle has only indicated around 350-355, but I would really like to see 365. I’m going to see how it’s all moving as I work up. Probably go 295, 325, then 355 and just see if I can take another after. I might follow with a rep or two in the phoenix as well.

Pinned 15mg of Trest Ace this morning. Had about 1,500 calories at breakfast and will hit the Chinese buffet in a bit. Still need to get some extra creatine in today.

How many calories a day are you eating ?

Probably 3,500-4k consistently. Sucks eggs. I mean I can literally eat anything I desire and fit it no problem, but it’s definitely some work maintaining 250+ currently. Ready to back off! Just gotta hang on for 2 more days.

Today the goal is just as much as I can on a practical level, with plenty of extra sodium.

Sounds like a problem I would enjoy having..............but you never know?

Heaviest legit raw benchpress I’ve ever put up. Been about a year & a half…for 6lbs. Still, today, I had it in me - so I reached out & took it!!!

Great Job On The PR and the Wife Selection !!

See that guy over there benching 375, we're tight !!

Awesome man

Thanks for all the love everyone. I didn’t expect to be so strong, but I suppose I really have mastered some peaking techniques. I didn’t even do a significant training peak, just drug/food/water manipulation largely.

Yeah she’s definitely one of my best life decisions!

She just pulled 315 for a triple this morning btw

Dammmmmn!!! Homeboy is putting in work!

What a night! Both top lifts felt like there was another 20lbs in the tank & moved super smoothly. Better yet, technique and positioning stayed strong throughout - seems I’ve done a great job ingraining good movement patterns returning to all of this, better than ever. These were huge strides back towards PRs. Hookgrip felt like it was running out on 545, so I threw the straps on to prevent risking a callus tear. Now I can get right back to work!

Gym Total over ~36 hours:
555+375+575=1,505lbs

Man, this squat made me feel alive. 8 months since lifting something comparable - when you get your opportunities, enjoy the moment!!!

Nice work mate! Peaking nicely!

Yeah very satisfied given the heaviest squat I’ve done since June last year was the 460x3 on the SSB, and 505x3 on conventional deadlift. Could do the meet in a month, but I have no interest in keeping the drugs cranked up another month like this. I have bigger goals in my mind and I want to get working towards them!

Outside of feeling great, what are some benefits to rolling your feet?

Outside of feeling great, what are some benefits to rolling your feet?

Hamstring mobility is the primary reason I do it. Especially after that last little lateral strain on the left ham, hitting my left foot has been very helpful to help relieve extraneous tension upstream.
