Took a little 5lb best at this bodyweight; when I did 573 in a comp my back popped painfully on the way up, driving me to scrap my third attempt. Today I felt like if it was at the comp I definitely would have called for 600 after, but since it wasn’t I decided to stick to the plan & save it for the meet - I am very confident in it now! Technique & positioning is dialed in. No time to even think about deadlifting, but today was a big success.

Man, I missed this workout…..congrats on the PR, and you’re all over that 600 squat now. Actually as deep as you are on that 578 squat, I wouldn’t be surprised if you went over 600. But I understand if it’s your third lift sticking with 600. Trust the process.👍

Protocol remains 400/400/200 t/m/1-t weekly, split over daily administration. Day before 100% squat took 25mg Dbol & 15mg Mk677 to load, then 50mg Adrol & 10mg Tren Ace day of preWO. Then same protocol for the 100% bench.

This gets me some extra water & fullness, safety, and power when I need it for the max testing, but not staying on those. I’ll take 10mg Tren & 25mg Var preWO tomorrow before my last heavy pull. But no Dbol today; I don’t need the extra bloat tomorrow.

Another nice session….your numbers are looking good just 2.5 weeks out. Looks like you’re looking strong for that PR total. Probably a good call on dropping lat work. After all the work you’ve put in getting back, you definitely don’t want a nagging injury to hold you back.

Legs were feeling good last night, so did 9 plates for 3 sets of tempo Legpress, which is a big jump from last time & something I’ve definitely never done on this variation. Hoping this transfers over well to the deadlift come contest. My hands & forearms were aching doing the Hammercurls, so the extended deadlift holds the day prior did their job.
 
Some nice volume on the leg press and following with that high step up, very nice day you have here!

I’m so glad I found me a good ART therapist. My guy has been a lifesaver for me. Seeing all your success with yours is what made me seek one out when I had re-injured my shoulder last year.
 
I bet I rested close to 8 minutes before the second set of 25. The weight felt stupid light today, but 25 reps is 25 reps 😝
Yeah it’s looks not as challenging on paper but doing it makes you rethink why in the hell you are doing 2 sets of 25😂😂😂😂

Nothing like being prepared! Trust the system and it will pay off on the platform. Are you going to keep the same cycle all the way to meet day or are you going to adjust anything?

Well, you will generally benefit from adding a fast drug the last 7-14 days for extra power. Tren Ace, Anadrol, Halotestin, Dianabol, Superdrol/DMZ, M1A/T, etc.

But last time I found taking Anadrol the last 10 days that I started getting allergic/itchy hives after 8 days. Fortunately it wasn’t full obvious until the middle of the night before the meet, so I just rode it out. So I can take it for a day or two, but not consistently. I also generally lose all appetite after about 5 days of orals, besides Anavar, and Tren bothers me even at 20mg/day.

So I will probably start taking Tren Ace at 10mg daily and take some rotation of 25mg Dbol and 25mg Anavar these last two weeks. Rotating eod or e2d. I always like Anadrol and Mtren on meet day, usually a little Dbol in the morning as well for the mood lift. I’ve got like 1-2cc of this ancient bottle of Tren I intend to use up, so now microdosed to tolerance seems like a good idea.

But the 1g oil base will more or less remain the same, although this vial of Mast E might be done next week, so I’ll probably just use more mg of testosterone to replace it if so.

So the tren ace at 10 mgs daily is tolerable for you? I can also see the benefit of a little bloat but not too much to hamper deadlifts. I guess that’s easier to manipulate on meet day with sodium and water than gear.

Lowest effective dose is always good. I’ve never used tren but tren ace interests me especially for my meet coming up in November. Would be nice for the aggression/strength aspect.

Nice work, is this pretty standard for you? Mock meet style day 2 weeks out, then assuming you back off the last week leading up from what I've read from you?

Sort of; I always like to get my last real deadlifting done by a couple weeks out. With my biggest pulling done 3-4 weeks out, and biggest squat done somewhere after that a bit closer. I could have separated them and done the squat as late as this coming Wednesday, but generally I’ve found it’s better to spend more of the final 2 weeks resting up and just light practicing. If you have been training hard the preceding weeks, you can benefit from a big reduction more than people realize. It’s common for people to not be fully recovered at meets, then find they’re very strong a week after because they pushed too hard too close & underestimated the time it takes for delayed transformation.

Plus if you have never deadlift after squatting, that is a bit of a different order - you need to call your shots & make them count. Notice by the 3rd time I bent over, I was already pulling 464. I pulled 2 & 3 reds for a single, then right onto the work. I’m already warm, mobile, activated & fatigued.

I think that’s what a lot of non-powerlifters underestimate about powerlifting….one, is knowing the best time of when to back off the heavy weight leading up to a meet, and two how truly difficult maxing out on deadlifts and squats on the same day is. 💪🏆

I’m not saying it’s particularly hard, but I think people who haven’t done it on one day don’t realize that making a total is different than individually testing lifts in the gym.

If you take a big squat, it can make your shoulders, elbows, back or hips sore, so the bench and deadlift can be affected. This is why there is a different ATWR for biggest bench & deadlifts done in a full meet vs bench/deadlift-only or a push-pull. It is very rare for the full-meet number to exceed the specialist’s.

I think its actually a pretty phenomenal skill, I have never experienced a PR in all 3 lifts in the same day, or week for that matter. I'm obviously better at volume than 1RM efforts, whether thats mentality, genes, training style, or a combo is always up for debate, but I know when I watched my buddy hit his 500lb squat he was absolutely wrecked for 2-4 weeks even though generally speaking building into that we had matching volume and training styles (just with him typically running squats 100lbs higher than me, but deadlifts and bench were usually 1:1 with me maybe running higher bench weight or higher deadlift volume).

I can only imagine how trashed he would have been had he hit a heavy pull and bench the same day he hit that squat PR.

totally makes sense. when we had weekend events they were of course rarely 1rm but more like 4-6 WOD's of all out intensity in 6-12 minute spurts. Different modality, but left an impact on me for a few days.

I totally see what you mean and without being able to grab his log and mine side by side, I would suspect that our total tonnage was actually typically closer than you might think. Which is a detriment to he and I both, I think. for example I could very much picture him working to a heavy triple at 405, me at 315 or something, then me doing a drop set of like 225 x 10 and him saying, na I'm good. usually same on something like bench or leg press. I think he would very much benefit from some improved conditioning whether it was more volume with the barbell, or even just sleds/cardio, whereas its no secret that my volume usually hinders my top end performance, lol.
 
I think your volume during warm ups for 1-3RM attempts probably hurts your attempt, but in general training I doubt it. You have the endurance strength of a woman! That is a compliment by the way. Women can rep a higher percentage of their max for more reps than men in general. My wife could do 10 reps at 90% and I am over her pushing hard for 5. Some of that might be genetics, and some of that might be that you built the machinery (mitochondria) within the muscle to handle that based of off necessity through years of X-fit. I imagine it is a little of both.

That's all very true. pretty sure I was 10 repping 290 and maybe even 300 before I ever hit 315.
 
I had to bring my belt out a notch on Sunday. Mentioning this because @Dustin07 is going the other direction 😝

I normally do have to when I add the singlet, as it’s another layer, and I was able to squat fine without adjusting, but deadlift was going to be too tight. It was just a tad on the loose side let out one hole, but as I’m always most bloated at a meet it should be spot on at comp!

Saw my ART guy; he noticed my rib was out place some so he adjusted it back in. This was impressive to me because I hadn’t told him until after that it had come out the other week when I attempted barbell frontsquats - guy just knows how things are supposed to feel at this point!

Also, whipped up the final vial of gear for this prep. Killed off the mast & DHB, and all but the final 20mg of Tren Ace (the only thing I’ll pin day of contest). Worked out to 120 Tren, 330 DHB, 280 mast, and 500 test to be distributed over 10 days and 9 shots (I will skip a day before weighins to lower aromatization during the watercut).

So for anyone curious what the final doses are leading to contest, it’s about 956mg/wk of oil (~100 of that Tren). Then 25mg of Anavar or Dbol daily, for ~1,130mg total. Meet day will be Anadrol & Mtren replacing the oil.

Just slightly! If it’s real bad you’ll never get out of pain for anything, but I was good after about 4 days. Such is lifting… 🤷‍♂️

haha this whole topic cracks me up cause something always hurts. Joe Rogan keep stalking about how David Goggins is going bone on bone in his knee yet the dude just finished the bigfoot 200 in 66 hours lol. sometimes I wonder how many of our injuries are "real" and need to be addressed and how many are just life.

I am rotating them based on how much methylestrogen I perceive I can handle from the Dbol without needing an AI. The Var is tested & true. The Dbol is ideal, but using Var about half the time seems to make it much more bearable. Gives the gut a break from getting overwhelmed, keeps the bloat reasonable, etc. Honestly have no appetite or heartburn issues at currently.

Felt very strong this morning, and I suspect the rear delt raises and pressdown numbers are getting on personal bests, if they aren’t already.

Not sure if there will be any training Sunday; there’s nothing I need to do & planning to take my son boating with a friend who has kids, so we’ll see if there’s any time in the evening for any activity. Tuesday will be my last training session: just speedwork on the big 3.

Hefty rear delt raises! You keeping them pretty strict? I can’t cheat them anymore or a damn disc slips. So dumb
