Depends on where you're starting from. 30% could lose 3% easy, 20% 2%+ easy, 10%... now it gets pretty tough to lose more then 1-1.5%.

on this particular diet I went from about 22 to 10 percent in 5 or six months. I did no supplementation besides protein powder. You are right it is much easier mentally..

It was pretty simple really I can't remember exactly what the numbers were but I wound add 30 grams to my carb and protein levels between each interval. So if I was taking in 300 grams of protein on a medium day I would do 270 on a low and 330 on a high. I would go low 3 days medium 3 days and high 3 days. I was keeping the fat content farily low throughout. It worked moderately well at first then midway I really noticed some acceleration in fat loss. It's like I'd be going along with a decent amount of success then wow! that was a good week.

I may take a shot at something similar for a couple of months this summer. I am only looking to drop from around 13% to 9%-10% but keep it as controlled as possible and not rely too heavily on supplements.

Then I would not get too militant with your cycling. I would set your medium calories around basal. This may help you to lose fat and retain muscle. If your not in a hurry then don't rush it.

Fasted cardio works wonders. I like going 14 - 16 hours without eating then doing a long medium level cardio session (equivilent to a very slow jog or about 5.8 to 6.2 mph range). Then you go for about 75 to 90 minutes. If you don't get low blood suger, it's a sure sign your liver is still working well.

Fat just throws up it's hands in surrender.

It's then good to wait another hour or two before that high protein breakfast. You can add various stuff like ALA, banaba leaf, or AP to open those Glut 4 receptors up even more, and you can get away with quite a few carbs if you add HCA. The calories get stuffed into your muscles, liver and brain, and they avoid the fat cells. Simply, the best of both worlds. Your hypothalmus never says, "I'm starving," so no shut down of T3 and ramping up of reverse T3.

currently been cutting for 2 weeks and lost about 2%. I would love to try the velocity diet its just so expensive for the biotest metabolic drive low carb and metabolic drive complete to get it in the uk. its adds up to something like $60.00 for a tub and then delivery on top of that

Hahaha. You do realise t-nation is just a gigantic advertisement for Biotest? They have some great articles but there's absolutely no reason to be buying their supplements. They are overpriced at best.

That velocity diet doesn't seem like anything particularly groundbreaking. I don't see why you couldn't use solid food with the VLC suggested.

Too many protein shakes and no solid food gives you diarrhea too.
