How do you plan a recomp?

I'm considering doing a cycle just for recomposition at some point and I'm not entirely clear how this works. I've read that eating at maintenance doesn't really do much for you in terms of muscle gain or fat loss, so I'm not sure how a recomp cycle should be structured, regarding nutrition. Right now, I'm 200 lbs and about 12-14% body fat. My end goal would be to decrease my body fat as much as possible and replace it with muscle, so I'm still in the 200 lb. range. How would one go about this? A couple weeks of cutting and a couple of bulking? Carb cycling? I'll be using Malicious Mass, which doesn't have a lot of feedback yet, but I'm assuming it will at least be easier than without a PH. Any advice is appreciated.

Frist off, I feel the need to comment on the "PH" your using. It is NOT a PH, it is a combination of 2 steriods.
13-Ethyl-3-Methoxy-Gona-2,5(10)-Diene-17-One
2a,3a-epithio-17a-methyl-5a-androstan-17b-ol

The second is Epi I believe, while the first is similar to tren I believe. (Dont qoute me, I'm not sure) All I know is what I've read from the first compound in the matter of 2 mins, its very harsh, and can easily flare Gyno. So I hope you understand what you are taking, have a proper PCT (SERM, AI, ect)
The reason why there isn't much feedback is because the general thought I've come to find is that pre-mixed steriods=bad idea.
But thats not what you're asking.
I remember finding a complete guide to RECOMPING on CYCLE. Which is what you want, I suggest you search for it. (I'm being lazy) From what I can remember the general rule of thumb is to eat OVER maintenance cals, while preforming the cardio you would on a cut.

Understood. I'm definitely clear on what the compounds are. I've done one cycle on Epistane with fairly good results. I know they're steroids and I'll be minimizing the risk as much as possible when I take them. I don't even know when that's going to be right now, but I want to be prepared and have a good plan of attack.

Search for unrealmachines recomp guide. It's one of his few threads he's created. I think it's called something like so you wanna get big and shredded at the same time.

Carb cycle is a good idea. You could do an upper lower split to give you less workouts so there's less planning. You could eat slightly over maintenance on workout days, with maybe half of your calories post workout. Moderate cals and maintainance on following days. Then very low cals on day 3. Than repeat.

OK, so new question. I've never had much luck with a recomp off cycle. Am I most likely wasting money and a cycle on a recomp? Should I just finish cutting on my own first, then do a bulk cycle to get back up to this weight?

If you do things properly it will work out....

If you cant follow it than yeah you will kind of waste your money. I started halo tren cycle and than needed to lose 10lb so it turned into a cutting cycle. I still gained PB's that i hold today, they are not what they were on cycle but regardless after the cycle i could put up more weight. B-D-S

So if you look at it one way i failed but at the same time i didnt.

Do more research and planning before you start things off. Eating carbs 1st thing am and post WO are key. There are many methods to follow.

recomps are hard to do. unreal's guide is great to plan it. If you haven't taken epi before I would just run that solo. It should do what you want it to do...

I've taken epi once before and had reasonable results. Nothing off the charts, but it was definitely there. I'm not in a big hurry to do this, so I'm mostly trying to plan it out and figure out what will be most effective right now. My diet is generally very clean and I do intermittent fasting which is supposed to be good for recomping, but it's still not something I've had a great amount of luck with. So, I'm just wondering if leaning out first, then going for a bulk would be a more realistic goal than a recomp. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to simply recomp. It just sounds like not many people are especially successful at it.

A recomp is not easy to do. But with proper planing and will power to follow the program will provide great results.

Once you start to see the results it gets easier and easier because you can see your hard work paying off.

it really depends on how disciplined you are. most people would say bulk past the point where you want to be, then cut. but generally eating clean at maintenance + doing tons of cardio is the way to go. I recomped on epi eating 1 lbs cheese burgers every day. It just depends on how you respond to whatever you run.

LOL, nice. I guess I'm at about 12-14% right now, so even if I could bulk without putting on new body fat, that would be fantastic. I just don't want to get too far away from being lean. I was fat for too many years to go back now...
