How AP Works

How Anabolic Pump Works

I would just like to preface this by stating this is not the official write-up by any means, just a little diddy I wrote to satiate the masses.

How Does Anabolic Pump Work To Build Muscle?

Before we delve into this, we should first distinguish how the GLUT group of isoforms operates as it pertains to glucose regulation. There have been 5 functional GLUTs identified, with the GLUT4 isoform being the major-insulin responsive glucose transporter predominantly restricted to striated muscle and adipose. For this first segment, we will focus mainly on striated muscle.

There are three sites of regulation of intracellular glucose uptake in skeletal muscle: glucose delivery to the skeletal muscle cells, surface membrane permeability to glucose (i.e., glucose transport), and flux through intracellular metabolism. The site most pertinent to Anabolic Pump, is the second mentioned. GLUT4, dormant within vesicles of adipose and striated muscle cells, translocates to the plasma membrane of cells in the presence of Insulin as a result of Insulin activating protein cascades. Anabolic Pump exponentially increases the amount of GLUT4 translocation in skeletal muscle cells, causing the membrane to be supraphysiologically permeable to glucose. Thereby greatly increasing the amount of glycogen stored within muscle cell mitochondria.

This process is being undertaken by two mechanisms; both currently unknown.
How Does Anabolic Pump Induce Fat Loss?

Where Anabolic Pump gets very interesting however, is by inhibiting this same insulin-reactive cascading process in adipocytes. In order to understand this, just as above, we must define a key process inherent within Anabolic Pump’s effects. In this case, we must distinguish the PPAR family, specifically PPAR Gamma 2 and its role in the regulation of adipocyte cells. PPAR Gamma 2 is believed to modulate genes within adipose cells that are responsible for the regulation of certain lipid-binding proteins, proteins that bind to fat, basically. Anabolic Pump is inhibiting PPAR Gamma 2 within adipose cells by two mechanisms which, at this point, are unknown.

In much simpler terms, Anabolic Pump preventing inherent survival traits within Adipose cells to bind to FFAs and circulating blood lipids. This prevents the chronic accumulation of adipose cells by removing their survival mechanism. As a result, lipoylsis is induced and FFAs are metabolized into the bloodstream to used as fuel. Conveniently, striated muscle cells will be 'super-charged' so to speak with glycogen, and with a proper diet and training routine these FFAs will most likely not be re-deposited.

Nice info Mullet :D aka Ziri Jr

thanks

Sticky material dont you think ?

Better sticky this, of the man wearing the killer workout gloves is gonna get you!! :bruce1:

Nice article and i'd just like to add that AP stacks very well is DCP for an awesome fatloss stack and this will prevent fat from redepositing.

This is true, this is true! I just need to get some AP and ill be good to go!

What is your macro break down for this diet, Chaps? Obviously high in carbs, but how high are you personally keeping them? (Sorry for putting you on the spot!)

This reads as if PPAR gamma modulation changes the relative surface protein concentrations of GLUT4 in striated muscle...I'm pretty sure, but could be wrong, that ppar gamma modulation will not have this effect in muscle; ppar gamma will have the effects mentioned in the fat loss part, about decreasing the fat storage process and capabilities of adipocytes.

The first part reads as if we are modulating AMPK here, which Jacob has said before that AP doesnt work through AMPK. I am unaware of any other mechanism that influences GLUT4 translocation other than the AMPK pathway.

Just looking for clarification, I know the full writeup is coming and that this is by no means the official writeup.

Whoot. I'm a psychonaut and I love brain-gasms. Can't wait for the write up

Getting my DCP tomorrow and I ordered AP before the holidays but don't know if it shipped yet. I'll be combining AP and DCP as phase 3 of my NHA stack for some serious fatloss (AP, DCP, Mass FX, BAM, Blaze, Camph).

Quite the stack. I also will be utilizing AP with DCP very soon (soon as Nutra has the new years sale), and am looking foward to the results.
