Hoemopathic HGH and testosterone - you DON'T want them to work!!!

I was listening to Superhuman radio at work today - episode 780 where Carl talked to users of Ageforce's HGH patch (not the homeopathic one). Before that though he spoke to someone at Ageforce where they mentioned the homeopathic patch and that how, over time, the minute traces of HGH stimulate the body to produce it's own.... and a blinding light struck me in one of those "Why didn't I see that before!!!!" moments.

Leaving aside whether homeopathy works (spoiler: double blind tests say NO) and leaving aside the fact that homeopathic dilutions mean there is unlikely to be ANY HGH in those patches this idea; "the minute traces of HGH stimulate the body to produce it's own" is NOT how homeopathy works!!!

Homeopathy is based on the idea of "the law of similars" - which basically states that "a substance that in large doses will produce symptoms of a specific disease will, in extremely small doses, cure it." So for example, if you had a disease that gave the same symptoms as arsenic poisoning, then a homeopathic dose of actual arsenic would cure you of the disease. Yes, that sounds stupid but that's homeopathy for you.

So think about it....... the effects of HGH on the body include:

  • Conversion of body fat to muscle mass
  • Growth of all tissues
  • Increased Energy levels
  • Increased Tissue repair
  • Whole body healing
  • Cell replacement
  • Increased Bone strength
  • Increased Brain function
  • Increased Sexual function
  • Increased Organ health and integrity
  • Increased Enzyme production
  • Better Integrity of hair, nails, skin and vital organs
So using the law of similars "a small dose of something cures the body of the effects of a large dose...." a homeopathic preparation of HGH will result in more body fat, catabolism, lowered energy levels, decreased sexual function, decreased brain function, decreased healing capacity etc etc....

The same for testosterone homeopathic preparations... think of all the positive effects of testosterone. The homeopathic preparation of testosterone would, it it worked, decrease or eliminate those positive effects.

If homeopathic preps did work, what you would in fact want would be a homeopathic prep that targeted the clearing/binding/deactivating systems of HGH and/or testosterone. These small doses would stop the large dose symptoms and more HGH/testosterone would remain active in the body for longer. However, that would be a lot harder to explain and "contains REAL HGH" and "contains REAL testosterone" sounds MUCH cooler.

So there you are: Before you buy your homeopathic drops, pills or patches, realize that either they don't work and you are wasting your money or they do work and you will be damaging your progress and health by using them.

I wouldt go as far as saying they dont work. I havnt tried the homeopathic patches but weve had good feedback on our Power Patches and there are logs showing marked improvements on sleep and recovery. Still its a bit early to show if the fatloss and muscle building effects will take place with longer use.

3clipseGT,

I'm absolutely making no "anti-claims" about the HGH Powerpatch. The label states it contains 25mg of HGH which is a dose which would definitely IMO result in good real-world effects. Cool! :-)

My post was in reference to your and in fact ALL homeopathic patches as they display a lack of understanding about the theory behind homeopathy (as well as the fact that all good scientific research shows homeopathy has NO effects above placebo). If homeopathy worked the last thing someone wanting to boost energy, appearance and performance would want is HGH in a homeopathic patch.

A silly but nevertheless accurate analogy would be that if you had a headache that felt like you had been hit by a hammer a homeopath might hit you with a teeny-tiny homeopathic hammer.... an imbalance is treated by a tiny dose of something that would cause the symptoms in a large dose. If you WANTED to feel like you had been hit with a big hammer the LAST thing you would want is to be hit by a Homeopathic hammer as it would make you feel even less like you had been hit by a big hammer. Homeopathic HGH would (by the very theory behind it's manufacture) suppress the production or effects of endogenous HGH

In other words...even if homeopathy worked, the theory behind HGH and testosterone homeopathic "medicines" or supplements is fundamentally flawed and runs counter to homeopathic principles.

Hmmmm

I definitely see what your saying and do agree with the theory that your explaining.

Wow, confusing thread is confusing! I personally don't buy into the whole homeopathic thing either. If you take a microgram of something and then dillute it in 1000mL water, you then take a drop of that and put it in another 1000mL water, etc. until dilluted to the number shown on the label (i.e., 10C means you did this dillution 10 times). THAT little of anything won't do crap IMO, positive or negative.

Conversely, just to clarify with the AgeForce PowerPatch, it is not a homeopathic distillation. It contains 25mg real Somatropin, which equates to ~4-5iu delivered over 12-14hrs. There's one AgeForce product that's homeopathic (Extra Strenght Patch, not worth getting IMO, but go ahead if you're into homeopathy), the others include real doses of ingredients we know like melatonin, androstentrione, DAA, stinging nettle root, etc.

AgeForce hGH PowerPatch is not homeopathic. Homeopathic stuff is pointless IMO, I agree with the OP on that!
