HGP tests BLIGHT from Vicious Labs

This will be a workout that has others watching you, like when I do weighted pull ups. All the puzzy-man peeking from behind their machines, LOL!
It will also need some space. "Hey, puzzy-man, out of my way, I'm rolling through!"

Gym

Max effort leg -and shoulder day:

Standing DB press, slow negatives
2x50lbs x 15/12/12

Cable crossover lateral side raises
2x30lbs x14
2x35lbs x10
2x40lbs x7/8

Cable crossover bent forward rear delt
2x35lbs x13
2x40lbs x9/8/7

Seated shoulder press machine, slow
weight?, 3/4 stack x15/15/12

Pike push ups
27/22/17

Smith squats
225lbs x10
180lbs, double dipping x 8
180lbs 4sec negatives x7
180lbs quick x14

Seated leg extension
masochistic timings, 1 set like: 10sec hold/10 quick/5 slow up and down/15 quick/holding 10 sec./quick session until failure.
130lbs x 2 sets

As anyone can see, my "max effort" -or "heavy" monthly week, is not maxing out weight but rather "leaving the comfort zone".
I prefer less (but considerable) weight and more difficulty using TUT , double dipping, slow-mo and negatives.
I swear by it and had no injury for over a year. I highly recommend it to older folks -or maybe beginners to follow a similar approach, after having setbacks from nagging injuries.

Have you seen where the ab wheel is replaced by a barbell with a plate on each side?
Tried today, well, not even tried. The plates are hexagonal. Pushed the bar to see if its still doable -but nah, gives an unpleasant shaker effect to the exercise.

Also handy for guys like me who work out from home and have limited weights.

Gym: Call to Arms

standing DB curls 2x45lbs x12 drop 2x30lbs x10
straight bar spider curls 110lbs x11/10/10
preacher ez bar negatives 145lbs x 2x 15 sec
BW triceps extensions smith bar, hip height x13/12/12/9
Cable triceps press down: weight? whole stack x12/10/9
cable curls: weight? whole stack x6/3/3
ez bar curls against wall 90lbs x6/6/5
decline abs until exhaustion
on my way out: 10 chin ups

Today was full body, gauging weights for progressive overload in future.
Gonna train twice a day, starting tomorrow.

Blight may help with recovery, I count on it.

Good Luck !!

Good stuff going on in here.

"Mixed nuts" workout, a bit of everything -until looking veiny like a road map:

So far I'm very pleased with "Blight". Better recovery is noticeable.
Apparently, as others noted here, it does not make you as sleepy after awhile.
I may try to split the dose now and take am/pm.

Those Arms are looking Massive !!

For awhile now I'm experimenting with carbs, slin and my glycogen stores.
I had my carb backload the day before. Glycogen was depleted.
Went to bed at 93.5kg (206 lbs), woke up at: 97kg (214lbs). 8lbs weight gain over night!

Well, not over night, more in the afternoon, after training, hydration and intra-carbs.

Interesting ??

Interesting ??

Only for people who want look their best on a special day -or want to be in optimal condition for a planned hard workout.
Full glycogen storage = biggest looking. "How to do" is what I experiment with. "Always swole" is the holy grail, I guess.

Looking good HGP!

You are becoming quite knowledgeable regarding BB competition physiology.

Not my intention -but could be useful.
After a cycle we all look flat. There has to be a way to keep the swoleness.
I'm working on it.
Carb manipulation, slin, pde-5 inhibitors and either potassium- or sodium seem to be key player.

To better observe changes, I have to lose at least another 3% BF. God I hate that.

Yes but once you do you will be happy as a hog in the mud! Also once you drop 3% you will look jacked all the time unless actually depleted. Will just have to buy smaller shirts to show it off. Don't keep wearing the close you have now if getting smaller gets to you, just buy something that fits and TADA!!!!

Baby GAP has sales all the time

Extra-schmedium, please!

Blight tub is empty.

Experiences:
-Helps recovery, no doubt! Noted it after about one week.
-May make you sleepy for the first 2 weeks

My verdict:
Worth the money!
