Ok so let me start off with.. I am 21 years old, I am 5'9 and i weight 115 pounds.. unlike most people.. i can eat very ****ty food and never gain any weight.. I had the swine flu not to long ago and then the week after that i had some kidney issues in which i was pretty much drowning my body in water and not eating.. I lost about 10 pounds. I do not eat breakfast, i eat lunch and dinner and honestly i try to eat as much as i can till i get full but it usualy isnt that much. I do not puke up my food or anything. I need to gain some pounds before summer... I do not work out anymore because i was getting no where.. I have no fat to turn into muscle.. I was getting stronger but staying the same size.. I turned to creatine and that was dumb.. it didnt do much.. I also did the whole Whey protein thing and that didnt work..

I bought "serious Mass" to get some more calories and for a breakfast and before going to sleep meal..along with my normal lunch and dinner..

How does "serious mass" work? I really need to gain some pounds.. and can i use serious mass without doing a serious work out.. I play basketball about everyday and do pull ups so its not like i am completely not active...

Help me please

Thanks,
Steve

Well first of you really need to be getting in a good hearty breakfast its the most important meal of the day so just by eating breakfast thats an extra 600 cals or so which can really add up and help pack on some weight. You need to be eating a solid amount of protein 1-1.5grams per pound of bodyfat, but you really need to just eat really the only way to gain is by eating and working out nuff said.

well, besides my name, all I can say is... yea just eat
try eating bulky foods like pasta, peanut butter sandwiches, anything. Get into the habbit of counting calories, and try to aim for a certain goal each day. For unpackaged foods that dont have nutrional info, just go online to one of the many databases of food values. Also, at least try to have something for breakfeast, a package of pop tarts is 400 cals right there. if not that then anything you can get down. after that try to at least put something in your body every 2 hours.

You said you "did the whey thing"... whey protein isnt so much a supplement, as it is a type of food. Most scoops of whey only have 150 calories. That being said, it isnt going to get you big, only mass calories over time will do that. Whey is simply a pure form of good protein that keeps your muscles anabolic- that is not breaking down. Whey IMO is a basic must for anyone who does muscle building excersizes.

Dont worry about creatine. Aim for like 3000 cals a day for a few weeks and you simply WILL gain weight. Many factors affect your weight but the main one is simply taking in more calories then you spend.

I do not work out anymore because i was getting no where..

nobody can help you gain weight if you're not willing to eat more than 2 meals per day. and if you're not willing to work out, i'm confused why you're asking us for help :dunno: those are the only two ways i know for how to gain weight....

thank you guys.. soo is this "serious mass" stuff going to work.. it says like 1250 calories for two scoops i think.. should i start off slow this week with just one shake a day and then move to two shakes.. one in the morning (since i like cant eat breakfast i just feel sick) and one at night before i go to sleep? and also i guess ill continue to do simple work outs like pull ups and just being active

If you're not working out to gain muscle mass you won't gain muscle mass.

1. Get in the gym 3 days a week
2.You've got to man up and eat a big breakfast, not only is that extra calories your not taking in but you'll eat more throughout the day if you kickstart your metabolism in the morning.
3. Get at least 1g protein per pound of bodyweight everyday.
4. Try to eat alot before you sleep, your body is more likely to store what you put in if it's not using many calories to function.

Remember, Half-a$$ed effort yields half-a$$ed results... In other words you will have to give this 110% or it will not work. Good luck man!!!

it seems like you know the answers, your just refusing to put them into action, it seems like your only eating two whole meals a day...you need 5 or 6 meals, the serious mass will help with calories but you can't rely on that, it's a supplement, it's meant to help with a diet already set up to bulk along with a solid gym routine

i've gained 25lbs since january. get multivitamins, bcaa and DYMATIZE Super Mass Gainer (1200 calories and 54g of protein per serv.) take that 2 to 3 times a day. If you have more cash go for egg whites, creatine and a test booster. its mandatory that you eat breakfast. once you start eating breakfast youll build more of an apetite throughout the day. a test booster can also increase your apetite. start with something not too strong like novedex xt from gaspari.

a side from that, put some dedication in the gym and get enough sleep.

use the serious mass 3 times a day or 2 times a day. i recommend that you do less cardio. if you dont have acces to the gym run some pullups, pushups, sit ups and lunges. the little you do the less results. playing basketball all the time wont help you gain either.

I recommend no cardio at all!!!

Like everyone else said, eat breakfast. I have a very fast metabolism and it can be difficult for me to put on weight... But when I set out to gain weight, I start off by having a good breakfast consisting of at least 400-600 calories with at least 20g of protein.

You should also try taking CytoGainer by CytoSport. It is a mass gainer, high in calories and protein. Having 2 full shakes a day with milk is something like 1500cal alone and a 100g+ of protein. Cytogainer also has glutamine, creatine mono and some amino acids... Best part is, a full 4 scoop serving only has like 3g of sugar. That stuff really helped me put weight on.

So eat a hearty breakfast, get some cytogainer and eat at least 3 good meals a day and you'll be set. The cyto is good to have between breakfast and lunch and then after dinner or after the gym. Basically, you just never want to have your stomach tell you that you are hungry... If that happens, you are burning body fat/muscle for fuel. You need to stay on top of your caloric intake, even if it means eating several small meals through out the day.
