healthy supps better than creatine

i bought 4 tubs of lecithin the other day from my local amish variety store, they stock grocery waste basically, they are outdated by a few months but i got them for a buck each, along with two four packs of EAS myoplex RTDs for a buck each and a ton of supps for general health two bottles for a dollar

on the back the can says typical analysis per serving
-Choline from phosphatidyl choline 450mg
-inositol frol phosphatidylinositol 330mg
-Linoleic acid 4350mg
Linolenic acid 900mg

15 servings per can and 3%rda vit e per serving

coenzyme q-10. vitamin d. vitamin c. zinc-magnesium. fish oil. vitamin e. vitamin b. that is my daily staple on top of liv-a-new and a quality multi vitamin/mineral. nothing special just the essentials.

i found this good deal 200mg coq10, 75 caps for 20 bucks at my local kroger. one a day and i will admit they made me feel better

Can some one that tried it tell me what´s so good about Endoamp?!

I gueaa Ill just say it since I wanna rebell againt ovcerpriced products. Endoamp.
Minus the a-gpc. We also have to consider that this product has already lost a lot of popularity.

The high amount of AGPC and PS ( phoshatidylserine ) is what you're paying for. you'll notice most bulk lecithin doesn't come anywhere close to EndoAmp. The PS content is what responsible for reducing cortisol spikes.

Edit: I don't agree with the price either I wish there was a PS supp similar without the cost.

Once upon a time, people got their lecithin from egg yolks and beef liver. Then, the "experts" determined that having more than one egg a week would make your heart explode and that beef liver was poisonous and toxic. All of a sudden, lecithin derived from soy began flying off the shelves and became a popular supplement.

once upon a time sailors would get scurvy because oranges would rot-now we have v- c pills. almost all supps or drugs for that matter have their roots in nature.

I'm an ascrobic acid whore myself. There is no natural source I am aware of that will give me the dose I need. However, eggs will not kill you and liver is not toxic.

As far as Endo Amp goes, getting the amount of PS from nature would be very hard to do.

What If I got the bulk powder and took like 15 grams?

Your body produces enough PS as long as you are not deficient in choline. I think 15 grams of lecithin would be more than enough. However, if you want to get higher doses of PS, you'd have to get an extract supplement because PS is only found in lecithin in trace amounts.

Most studies of PS were done with bovine sources(cows brains). Bovine lecithin is not exactly the same as soy lecithin, just fyi.

yup-as to the price of endo amp, i have yet to see any ps inexpensively priced. i guess we could petition nutra to sell bulk ps-i wonder how cheap it would be????

List some if you can think of any. For me it's:

multivitamin
fish oil
cissus (keeps me going)

Goals are getting buff and havinng endurance.

EDIT: Pretty early in this thread, peple stopped comparing things to creatine, and just started talking about products that keep you in shape, and I am fine with that. I love hearing about supps that are healthy.

I made an edit to my original post.

My favorite supplement aside from protein is actually CoQ-10....I feel like I am much stronger if i stay on it for long stretches.... really cool stuff

I don't mean to hi jack the OP, but does anyone prefer Kre-Alkalyn, mono, dicreatine, etc. to other forms?

In regards to OP, I recommend Testoforce (out 5/31).

This is a great idea, i would like to see what they can do.

How does every one else feel about this?

I use Idebenone as a staple supp.

Put simply, it helps with cortisol. Google it.

orange oximega and orange triad combo has all the foundational needs

Mono is better than CEE IMO. Havn't tried the other two. I kind of think the purpose of creatine supplementation is to refill creatine stores if they get low, and mono does a good job of this. If you don't repond, I would personally just move on from creatine......

So to all you CoQ-10 lovers, is it just for health, or do you feel that it does something for strength, endurance, ect...? If you feel anything on it, feel free to describe.

I'd also like to know about your age, and where you find it for cheap.

i used to smoke (quit over a yr ago, yay!) and when i took coq10 pre workout i felt my veins open up a little and i had better pumps. im 20, btw. i use it now just for general health as well as its blood pressure lowering ability and its a strong antioxidant. ur best bet is kroger... 200mg caps, 75 should be $20. ive checked EVERYWHERE and nothing is as good a deal as kroger...

Congradulations on the smoke free lifestyle! Now lets hope I can find a Krogers near me! I reaching a strength level that isn't good for the rectum if ya know what I mean, so anything that'll lower blood pressure and prevent hemmoroids would be awsome. The heart attck prevention is cool to.

I personally take it for health measures but I also take a battery of other supps so it would be hard to tell if the CoQ10 is improving my performance.

I notice better overall energy while on coQ-10 as well....Nothing amazing like a jolt of energy, just nice and smooth... I'm 23 so my levels shouldnt be very low yet, but there are tons of studies that support its cardiovascular benefits, but i originally started taking it to improve energy production ....more energy = better days= better lifts IMO

I work at a retail supplement company so I get mine cheaper..... but id try to get 100-300 mgs depending on the quality, some companies combine it with vitamin E i believe to increase how well ur body uses it. some companies like ubiquinol use a converted form so its more bio-available for those that have a hard time with regular coQ-10

I forgot to mention that I have a family history of high cholesterol, so I might actually be one of thos who can benefit from this.

Ubiquinol is far superior than ubiquinone which are both Coq10's. Ubiquinol is an electron donor while ubiquinone is an electron acceptor which means the electrons that ubiquniol donate are the ones that fight the actual free radicals. Ubiquinol is what mostly dominates in most human tissue as well as a majority of Coq10/blood levels depleting is ubiquinol.

I've taken both and they both seem to work almost the same however for cardio or the gym I found Ubiquinol was awesome, which I was taking 200mgs daily.

What do you "feel" or "gain" specifically?

CoQ-10 is one of those supplements u kinda just feel better/produce better/ last longer....but not to the point where its obvious....kind of like a quality multivitamin....I think u really notice its benefits once u stop taking it and ur like " man I felt a lot better when i was on that stuff" ....just my two cents

quercitin is another such supplement/ along with alpha lipoic acid, and gymena sylvestre that really work well when stacked with creatine

Ill get some tomorrow. Im gonna try to be skeptical though, because I don't wanna be like those people who thought CEE worked better than mono.

milk thistle and SAMe. i take milk thistle daily, and every couple of months i thrown in some SAMe. keeping your liver healthy is one of the best things you can do for yourself-everything you take in goes through the liver.

I noticed an increase in well being, less fatigue, more endurance in and out of the gym and outstanding recovery....the bottom line is ubiquinol is beyond a staple for me, it's one of those things you might not feel at first but when you run out of it and train you'll notice how effective it is.

The other good thing there's only one supplier which is Kaneka ( Japan ) Ubiquinol I beleive it is now prescribed to people with heart problems in Japan which replaced ubiquinone as the previous remedy.

Are you sure your body didn't start producing less coq10 when you started taking the suppliment?

Additional CoQ10 is good for ur cardiovascular system regardless of age...even if it would have no addittional benefit, most of it is concentrated around the great vessels of ur heart....there are literally hundreds of studies that validate its cardiovascular benefit, anyone that is perscribe any statin drug is told to get some coq10 to negate the sides......... That alone makes it a good supplement even if it doesnt pan out to have noticible effects for the gym.....every doctor i have ever talked to recommends everyone take it along with omega 3's (of course now there is a perscription Omega 3 so they'd like u to take that one ;-) )

strategicmove highly recommends it-that guy really knows his stuff!!!:fing02:

Quercitin and Resveratrol have both ben shown in studies to improve cardiovascular endurance as well in trained athletes.... Thats why its popping up in a lot of pre/intra workout products....although it seems like it is underdosed in the ones ive seen
Quercitin is MUCH cheaper tho, and works well with Vitamin C.....

I didnt ever think to check for l carnosine....lol i figured beta alanine was the only way to increase carnosine levels....i didnt know u could buy it itself....i feel like a idiot

No, don't feel bad! Most guys don't know about it, plus it's pretty expensive. Still, it kicks butt over BA. Take 1-2g half an hour before a w/o, it's a whole new level man. Just like that first time you took creatine, that same feeling of "new levelness", lol. I've loaded on BA for months before, and never got that same feeling from it. Jus' saying.

do you know of any brands to check out for carnosine powders?

I don't think your Coq10 levels decline when supplementing with additional Coq10 ( ubiquinol or ubiquinone ) the whole purpose of a product like Coq10 is to elevate your levels because it's lacking in the first place, sorta like the idiots assesment If you're training you're @$$ off and your recovery is not the same I think the first thing that would come to mind would be getting something like ubiquinol into your regime and then tell me that your recovery/recuperation is outstanding and if not I'll be calling bull$!&@ in your face. I personally think from experience that Ubiquinol is one of those supplements that people from any walk of life will benefit from.....here's the thing with an ingredient like we're discussing, you may be declining in that nutrient and buy supplementing with it wither it be otc or prescription the objective is to maximize the effectiveness of whatever the product is intended to do.

NP or BN both sell the powder for about the same price I think, but NOW sells the most affordable 500mg caps for the same price as the bulk powder last I checked, and it's already capped up. The endurance and pumps will rival creatine in your pre-w/o stack, good stuff.

I absolutely love the Now Brand, which offers a 50mg in 60 cap and a 100mg in 60 caps as well as from talking to the Now rep at our local health food shop 3 hours ago a 200mg 60 cap. I'm trying out the Jarrow QH ubiquinol right now which is a natural liposome delivery...don't really notice any difference to be honest.

The rep today was talking to me about this one.
