headlight restoration/oxidation

I noticed my headlights are starting to get oxdation on them...any legit products that fix this? I'm hesitant to buy cause they seem to be like scratch removers...some work, others don't.

That kit is good, there's a kit from 3m that adapts to your power drill that is Great imo. There's another spray that doesn't require any sort of sanding but it's not as good and only removes the fungusy white stuff, tar and old dirt that headlights get.
also you can just do it yourself by using escalating grit sand paper, 500, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, 3000 then buff with compound and should be good as new.
Now if it's on the inside you've got probs I've opened them up before and resealed but i put them in the oven to heat up the glue to unstick it and I don't think I should recommend that at all. LOL.

Clear coating them with automotive clear is the best. Should b able to find someone who will do it cheap. All u need is sandpaper clear and a gun with small compressor. I do restorations on old musclecars and some collision work. Its a guaranteed fix that will last as long as u own the vehicle

It was on the inside of the lens on my old volvo. I had to cut the seam, buff the inside, and reseal. turned out nice. I totaled the car 1 month later.

i bought the turtle wax product and it worked GREAT! i know there are better products out there, but for like 8 bucks, best bang for your buck

For a really quick and cheap fix, if you use those Mr. Clean magic erasers around the house, bust one of them out sometime. It doesn't remove all of the haze from an old lens, but it will certainly remove a good bit. I'm fanatical about my headlights - hazy ones make the car look old and cheap, and I believe the max lighting is best for safety. That's why i run SilverStars in the Saab and a Blue Xenon in the bike. Safety first!!!
