Gotti's Osta Shred Log (Sponsered)

Saturday

Legs: Squat (8,4,2), Leg Extension (20), Laying Leg Curl (20), Stiff leg ham stretch, and Smith machine Quad stretch

Back: T Bar Row (8,4,2), Straight bar pulldown (20), Pulldown lat stretch

Bicep: Dumbell Curls (8,4,2), Preacher Curl machine (20), underhand smith machine stretch

Woke up feeling terrible on Saturday. I went out with my girl on Friday night and woke up Saturday feeling like I had a brick in my upper stomach. I was also super groggy and wasn't sure how I'd feel in the gym. I got to the gym and started to warm up I figured lets try this. Squatting actually felt really good when I started and crushed it. I feel like I struggled less on this weight than I did on the lower weight the last time I squatted. I was really happy with the strength during the workout.

Rest of the day I felt like crap. Stomach was pretty bad and it was kind of hard to eat.

So far on Ostrashred

I feel like I'm leaning out faster than I normally would which is awesome. The scale isn't moving all that much which leads me to believe that I'm losing fat and keeping some muscle even though I feel like I'm not looking as big or thick as I was.

The euphoric feeling hasn't really come around much as of lately. I know ostra is known for this feeling and I felt it early on but haven't felt it in a about a week or so.

Strength has increased nicely. Even when I'm not feeling the best or lack of sleep the weight is still increasing. I've failed twice so far in the log and I believe without the Ostrashred I would have failed a few more times.

I have had little bouts of anger the last week or so. Small things and I get heated but it's short and controlled....not usually a guy who gets mad so it could be the osta or it could be outsider stressers or lack of sleep.

Awesome! sounds like you're getting good results.

Monday

Chest press machine (superset)-Shoulder press machine (superset)-Dip machine 5 sets

Cable Flys (superset)- Underhand tricep extension (superset)- Sit lateral raises 5 sets

20 minutes LISS cardio

All the way up through yesterday right before the gym I struggled with how I felt and what would be best for me. Some parts of the day I was excited to see if I could up my weight again on the lifts. Other parts of my felt worn out and felt like I needed a break from intense workouts. The workout itself was less weight and higher reps 12-20. I broke a nice little sweat throughout the workout, not like normal days but it still fetl pretty good. I sort of forgot what it was like to have a pump going since I don't get much in terms of a pump from DC training.

The best part was as soon as I got home and out of my car my body felt like it was thanking me. I felt pretty good. The rest of the night I seemed to have more energy cooking and cleaning around the house. I also felt a lot better overall, I didn't really notice it before but I must have been walking around the house like a zombie at night. I even slept better last night which leads me to believe I made the right decision.

I'm still dealing with stomach discomfort from the weekend. Seems like my girl and father are also dealing with some stomach problems. I also have a massage scheduled for Wednesday.

Wanted to take a look in the mirror last night, stomach looked a little bloated but my legs def show noticeable increase in size.

Tuesday

Leg extension (superset)- Laying hamstring Curl 5 sets

Lat pull down 4 sets

Hammer Strength Low Row 3 sets

Vertical Leg Press (superset)- Dumbbell Curl 4 sets

Face Pull (superset)- Seated Calve Raises (superset)- Dumbbell Hammer Curl 3 sets

20 minute LISS cardio

Pretty good workout. Nothing to write home about just focused an squeezing the muscle to get some fresh blood into them. Worked up a smooth lather of sweat once again and felt good last night. Seemed like I had a lot more energy at home last night after the gym too. Made it much easier to do chores at night. Also slept better again. Nothing to do with Osta I'm sure but noteworthy.

Looked better in the mirror last night. Haven't really gotten anymore lean but my muscles appeared more full and my veins in my upper chest are starting to come out which happens when I lean out.

Wednesday

Got a massage, so nothing to report on the Osta front other than I felt really good after the massage which happenes on its own anyway but seemed to last longer into the night after the massage. Wasn't as tight as last month when I saw her, I go because I have a bad neck/trap that gets really tight. So she started looking for other tight spots and massaged them out.

Sleep has been improved this week which I hope correlates to better performance going forward in the log.

Thursday

Plate loaded press (superset)-Rope extensions(superset)-Standing dumbbell shoulder press 5 sets

Hammer Strength Press (superset)- Underhand extension (superset)- Dumbbell upright row 4 sets

15 minutes LISS cardio

The day after the massage I felt relaxed but also very groggy and tired. My mood was pretty good but I just couldn't get going. I was a bit sore and lethargic. The workout was cut short because of this, I just didn't feel into it and figured I should just rest. However I did use this plate loaded machine that I don't use much at the gym. Most ppl use it to do shrugs but if you slide a flat bench between the handle, it gives a similar feeling to a floor press. Figured doing a little work on it may help other chest movements next week when I'm back at my normal routine.

Saturday

Leg Press (superset)- Preacher curl machine 4 sets

Lower back extension (superset)- Cable Curl 4 sets

High cable row (superset)- Leg extension 3 sets

Low Cable Row (superset)- Seated Hamstring Curl 3 sets

17 Minute LISS cardio

Last day of the deload week. It was a nice week and I think I benefitted from it nicely. My sleep has been better this week than it has since I started the log. I also feel motivated to get back to the heavy weight and intense training. I wasn't sure if I should take the week for deload but I'm glad I did.

I need to weight in tonight or tomorrow but I felt like I looked a tad bigger last night than I did at the start of last week. I still looked thinner than when I started the log as well. Still 3 weeks or so to go on the Ostashred and I'm excited to how much better the results can get as we go....stay tuned

Sweet man. Leaning out and not losing lbs on the scale is always a plus. Look forward to the next 3 weeks brotha

Hey guys i just bought osta shred and I'm following the 3 loggers including you. Can't wait to try this stuff.
Just wondering are you only doing a one month cycle?

Monday

Chest: Flat Barbell Press (8,4,2) Reps, Peck Deck (20), Flat bench weighted fly stretch

Shoulders: Standing Barebell Press (8,4,2), Side Lat raise (20), Behind back Barbell stretch

Tricep: Weighted Dips (8,4,2,), Underhand Extension extension (20), Behind the head dumbbell stretch

Everything went super smooth in the gym yesterday. It felt good to be in the gym and really pushing myself again. I could tell just from the warm ups that things were moving more smoothly. I was late getting out of work which created a feeling off being in a rush which could of helped in the gym. But I believe it was more for feeling fresh. Cardio had me super winded, it was pretty tough towards the end of the session.

The standing shoulder press might go though as the weight felt easier and lighter but not sure it's a good exercise to do to fail on. I felt like one wrong move and as the hodge twins say it would of been "snap city."

I think the standing is more forgiving then seated for the simple reason that if things get dicey you can still cushion with your legs, or even force an assisted rep up. If you're sitting, theres no possible leverage to gain and the bar just drops.

It might have a lot to do with me unracking it around my chin so getting it up over my head throws my balance off a bit, but i like seated because my back is supported and when i'm pushing up i could push against the seat with my body weight

but your right with the assisted rep, because you could bend and push up with your legs, i try not to do that if at all possible, but in this type of training it becomes more likely

looking good up in here man! keep up the good work!

Tuesday

Legs: Leg Press(8,4,2), Leg Extension (20), Laying Leg Curl (20), Stiff leg ham stretch, and Smith machine Quad stretch

Back: Pull up (7,4,2), Straight bar pulldown (20), Pulldown lat stretch

Bicep: Barbell Curl (7,4,2), Double arm cable curl (20), underhand smith machine stretch

Workout was kind of tough. I felt good but almost killed myself on the leg press. As I was failing on the set of 4 I almost missed the handle to lock the rack and my legs wanted nothing to do with holding the weight any longer. The curls probably werent the best form either but it worked. The pump on my legs after the leg press felt like I had just squatted and my bicep pump was out of control as well. The stretches felt almost therapeutic especially the stiff leg stretch until about the last 10 seconds when my legs were shaking pretty bad

My right trap is a bit sore and tight today but other than that I've been sleeping a lot better and have felt more energy this week.

Sounds like it's working. Do you notice any changes in your body composition so far? Will you be using any serms for the pct? Are serms even required?

A serm is always good to use if you want to be safe. I forget if young gotti said he was or not?

Yes, I'm noticing leaning out effects especially in the midsection and my legs, I have noticed some extra veins showing in my upper chest and sometimes in my forearms....but thats hit or miss so far, i've also got compliments from co-workers of me looking thinner, but my weight hasn't changed much and strength has increased more than i thought while on a cut

with it being 2 months on osta, it's probably be a good idea to have a serm on hand which I'll have on hand

my other pct products are as follows:
Test Factor
DAA
X-Factor
Myosynergy
Soy Lechithin

along with the normal stuff like protein, intra workout, and creatine

Cardio and Abs

Cardio on the elliptical was pretty tough actually. I was sweating pretty quickly and heavily by the end of it. I'm always sweating but this seems above average. And the sprints were almost animalistic in nature. I felt myself grunting from the sprints to make sure I was going as hard as possible. By the end I was relieved because I dont' know if I'd be able to do another sprint.

Abs were leg raises, side dips and sit ups. It's been a bit since I've done an ab session, the leg raises felt really good.

Anyway nothing really new to report in the mirror last night. This morning but arms looked bigger. As I was running around my house late for work I noticed in the mirror that my arms looked thicker than they had or that I've noticed recently. I have felt pretty good this week as well.

This is how I felt on Osta. Leaned out and strength went up a bit. Nice detail on your log!

It's always nice when people notice your body changes. I should incorporate a cardio and abs day here soon..... Man I loathe cardio. I will usually just do some form of jump rope intervals and call it a day lol

jumping rope is pretty good cardio, my gym is a bit to small for jumping rope but i used it more at my old gym

but i always say if theres a way to get cardio in without doing it at the gym i'll prefer to do that, like pick up basketball, ultimate frisbee, or whatever....it just more enjoyable

however i have to do some sort of cardio all year, one year in the winter when i was bulking, i basically cut out cardio and even though i was the biggest i ever was, i looked like crap and kind of felt crappy....sort of why i stuck with dc training into my cut, the lifting portion of the workout is quick which gives me more time for cardio

Thursday

Chest: Barbell Incline Press (8,4,2) Reps, Cable Crossover (20), Flat bench weighted fly stretch

Shoulders: Seated barbell overhead press (7,4,2), Side Lat raise (20), Behind back Barbell stretch

Tricep: Close grip barbell press (7,4,2,), Rope Extension extension (20), Behind the head dumbbell stretch

I got angry at work towards the end of the day. Not sure if the Osta had part in that or not but I noticed myself getting a bit warm. Anyway when I got to the gym I was ready to kill weights. The incline press was super smooth, might have been able to an extra 5lbs up and still get in the rep range but whatever I was happy with how smooth it felt. So I felt like I got a bit cocky after that, then I went to shoulder press and was brought down to earth. It was really difficult, a few of the last reps I thought I was in serious trouble.

After lifting I did 15 minutes LISS cardio and my legs felt relieved afterwards. Almost like they had enough HIIT cardio during the week and they were worn down but got some blood flowing from walking.

I was supposed to do a weigh in with someone at work for a contest. She said I looked thinner and that I won. Little does she know I haven't really lost anything.

Saturday

Legs: Reverse Hack Squat (8,4,2), Leg Extension (20), Laying Leg Curl (20), Stiff leg ham stretch, and Smith machine Quad stretch

Back: Dead Lift (8,3,2), Straight bar pulldown (20), Pulldown lat stretch

Bicep: Incline Dumbbell Curl (8,4,2), Preacher machine curl (20), underhand smith machine stretch

I'm going to get take a fail on the biceps because the range of motion was bad. I wasn't happy with that. I felt like crap on Saturday morning. I woke up and had severe neck pain which I've dealt with but when it comes over my ear and wraps around my eye when it gets nasty. Thats what I was dealing with. In between sets and warms up I was dizzy and just wasn't into the workout. I decided to push through it but it wasn't an enjoyable workout.

This weekend wasn't the best for diet purposes with the holidays and stuff. It was my buddies birthday so a bunch of us went to our favorite restaurant in the area that serves some rare meats and just good food. That night we shared a bunch of food but I had some smoked porked butts, kielbasa wrapped in bacon with wisabi sauce, gudda mac and cheese with bacon, foie gras and the duck, japanese korubuta pork chop, colossal crab with truffle sauce, and atlantic black tip mako shark. I want more of the food right now as I type that haha. But I love eating food I don't always have available like the foie gras.

Monday

Chest: Underhand Barbell (7,3,2) Reps, Cable Crossover (20), Flat bench weighted fly stretch

Shoulders: Hammer Strength Shoulder Press (8,4,2), Side Lat raise (20), Behind back Barbell stretch

Tricep: Skullcrusher (5,5,2,), Rope Extension extension (20), Behind the head dumbbell stretch

It was rough treading at the gym. The underhand bench I was happy with reaching my numbers but I was worried with that grip and that weight. The motion isn't too bad it's the unloading the weight at first which is a bit scary. The shoulder press was good but the skullcrushers were very disappointing. Getting only 5 the first go around I never thought I was going to reach the numbers. But it might have been a bad grip the first time around. I got the numbers but I think I'm going to stick with that weight next time just to see I can feel more comfortable with the lift.

I forgot to weigh myself last night. But in the mirror I felt like the width of my core has shrunk a bit again. Any V taper I have was more noticeable and my lat spread looked better.

I felt during the day like I was on the verge of getting a cold. Sore throat, lethargic, and overall worn out. Theres a lady at work who sits near me who's been sick but since she burns up all her leave time as soon as she gets it, she hasn't been able to stay home so I'm blaming her for this feeling. Part of me didn't want to go to the gym or didn't think I'd have a good workout. However once I got going at the gym I felt pretty good. Hamstrings were still sore from Saturday, nothing I noticed during the day but once I started squatting I really felt it. I was really happy with the workout though, at this point the weight on the squats is surprising and a big accomplishment every time I complete them. I also believe that my office has been warm making me feel drowsy during the day but once I get to the gym I start to wake up.

After my bicep work I felt a crazy pump that I haven't felt in awhile, I remember thinking wow my arms feel like they are rock solid like they are filled with cement. After the pump went away a bit my right arm felt kind of numb. I couldn't help but think "what the heck did I do now" but that went away as the night went on.

What I'm noticing is while on Ostashred is that even when I'm not super excited to go to the gym and think my strength will be off that I'm still able to hit my numbers. DC training has really taught me to push past what I otherwise thought would be failing rep.

Stay healthy! I hate being sick man. My wife says I'm a wimp haha. Nothing beats a good pump either. Glad your strength is staying up too. Keep it up the good work

Wednesday

Cardio and Abs

My legs were super sore yesterday so I wanted to do some low impact cardio but someone was on the eliptical I use. The elipticals at the gym are kind of crappy so I normally only use one. Anyway I moved to a treadmill to do some sprints. It was an up and down ride. At first I felt the pain in my legs but once they got warmed up it sort of went away. Put the incline up a bit and started to sprint and felt like my right quad was going to blow out. Not the DOMS type of pain but almost like a cramp. Either way I finished and it went away pretty quickly.

Abs I did my normal romain chair leg raises and weighted side dips. Then went on to do some rope crunches and used some machine called the ab solo i think, basically sit ups with weighted balls that you throw into a backstop and they roll back down for you.

Last night in the mirror I noticed that my calves have really shrunk during this DC training. I might have to throw some in here or there from here on out.

Shoulders: Standing Barebell press (8,4,2), Side Lat raise (20), Behind back Barbell stretch

Tricep: Weighted Dips (8,4,2,), Straight bar underhand extension (20), Behind the head dumbbell stretch

So yesterday was weird. I'm not sure if it's Ostashred or not but I woke up feeling shaky and what I'd describe as anxiety. I've never had an anxiety before but it's all I could think of to describe how I felt. It was like my brain was racing but everything I was doing at the moment felt foggy. This lasted 3 or 4 hours at a high level and seemed to go away a bit as the day went on but never totally back to normal. Then around 3pm or so I just felt worn out. Similar to how you feel when you just had a huge adrenaline rush and then you crash. Everything I've read seems to say Osta would create an opposite effect but it was unlike anything I've felt before.

Anyway as I was going to the gym I was wondering if I should even be going with how I felt. Thinking I should listen to my body that felt super drained. Another part of me felt like maybe I should go and do some light work. What I decided was I would go, test the weight and if it felt unusually heavy then I'll go lighter. The weight did feel a bit heavier during warm up but nothing crazy. The workout actaully went pretty well. I was really suprised but I hit all my numbers and even threw in some calve raises at the end for good measure. I still felt tired the whole time.

As soon as I left gym I was yawning like crazy. Went home and ate. Usually I'd read a bit at night but last night I felt like my brain just needed to relax so I just turned on the TV and vegged out a bit. Happy that today is an off day so I can relax and hopefully catch up on some sleep this weekend.

Bicep: Barbell Curl (7,4,2), Double arm cable curl (20), underhand smith machine stretch

Woke up Saturday with still a bit of anxiety feeling going on. I recognized it as soon as I woke up so I was able to work with it a bit. The workout itself was pretty good. Felt strong throughout the whole workout. Really surprised at the strength gains I've had on Ostashred, especially with the calories I'm eating on a daily basis. Left the gym and my bicep went numb again. I woke up last night and it was a bit numb too. Hopefully I didn't do anything to bad to do it.

So not really looking in the mirror but after I showered I was getting ready and noticed in the mirror above my sink that I looked leaner and more defined. Ostashred has been really solid on the body comp.

I felt good all day yesterday. Might have been the nice weather. The sun was shining and it was warm for the second day in a row. I went into the gym feeling like it would be a good workout but it was a bit of a struggle. A few of the re-racks I felt like I was going to kill myself, clanked the barbell on the rack, I'm usually a supporter of when you re rack to slap the back plate of the the rack but when your failing you just want to get the weight off the muscle. Either way with the struggles I still felt good mentally and really enjoyed being at the gym.

The cardio felt pretty good as well but with the heat I did notice an increase in sweat.

Overall a nice workout. Didn't notice any changes to note.
