You've got some seriously strong legs. My deadlifts are superior to my squats by at least 195lbs. My legs are thick, as a lot of pacific islanders are, but my quads just aren't very impressive strength wise.
Thanks, yah it's going well. I can't tell you how good it is to feel badass again and about 20 lbs leaner than last year at this time.

Very nice DW. Great workout!!!
Much respect to ya Doug. You're a true inspiration to this board and its members. :box:
I also plan on staying leaner. No more bulking for me. I want to see the muscles I've worked so hard for. :bigok:
Many people are inspired by your logs they are always huge logs!!!!
Yah not one for doing things half way....:veryhappy:

I saw that a LONG time ago!!!
times two!!! DW's log is always one of the first places I go in the morning!!
X3!!!! Definitely a warrior!!! And an inspiration!!
A freaky summer indeed!! tearing it with that leg workout!!! Hellz yeah DW!
Same here I learned that lesson. For a competitor the extra fat may move more weight, but it takes way too much dieting , months to get it off. and I like being more on the lean side as it is from a health and attractiveness perspective.
Keep up the good work Doug you've got quite a team of supporters in here.
Add me to the list of supporters, I cherish your advice, and am still not drinking milk, although I secretly hate you for that advice as well
I've started a new log alsoShould be a good one

Only a couple other bodybuilding ones the rest are regular poems ...
Any about me? Wait forget I asked that LMAO!!!
The grand opening went well. This is the place, if things go well then I will be opening a franchise here in Montreal in about 3 years.

This is the dream, a real gym dedicated to the success of the client.
man that gym looks awesome DW!!!! Good luck with it my brother!!!
Fuggin sholder!! I started off with 320 on squats and the shoulder pain was just too much and I only made 7 reps!! The weight felt very light, so I would have gotten at least 350 for 10. Week 4 and I'm still looking for my cieling!! As it turned out, I had to convert back to front squats and finished the 4 X 10 at 230 which is damn good considering I haven't done them in a few months. Now that I am using knee wraps front squats will not be a problem should I have to continue with them. I know I can get my back squats way up past 400 for 5 reps though...
Standing calf raise up 20 lbs 4 X 10
Pec Deck 6-12-25 X 2 up 5 lbs across the board
Hammer curls 6-12-25 X 2 up 2.5 lbs accross the board
Body comp is pretty damn good I weighed in at 221 last Thursday and as of now I look a little more defined than I did when I started at 211 just over 8 1/2 weeks ago... I have been no saint with my eating but I have remained rigid with the daytime eating, 7 days a week. Taking the amino drink and plenty of protein I have been able to gain muscle while losing a tiny bit of fat. Now my increased muscle size may be what is making me look a little leaner. Anyway you cut it, I am one big motherfugger at 220.
man it makes me nervous when you start talking about your shoulder pain my friend!!! I know you know this, but nice and slow... great lift other wise!!!![]()
Doug you are about my height and have nearly 35 pounds on me; I don't doubt you are one big SOB!!!! Keep killing it.
Thanks, we'll see how he does, training started yesterday... I wish I could be part of it. Oh well I gave him a pic for his wall and the poems, I'm there in spirit.
I have been part of his wall of fame for about 8 years now at the smaller gym where he's trained a lot of people, but I have been away from Ottawa for about 5 years. So a lot of people didn't know who I was, I told them what do you mean you have probably seen me 1000 times... lol
Poems and gyms just don't sound right together LOL.
did you read the poems... lol
Yes and my gym has little mini poems painted on the walls they just sound funny being used in the same sentence,![]()
It's a contradiction, like my old name WarriorPoet... there's two sides to this coin.
Treat that shoulder with love =)
230 front squat at 52 is pretty impressive there DW o.0 Easy on that shoulder!
DW just proves and inspires us older guys that we can still strive for our best!!!
Somebody's gotta do it...:stooges: Plenty of inspiring old fuggers around here though... I may be the a little older than most though...onder:
Not too far behind my friend.:grumpy:
Last night was a better than average night ...
Reverse grip pull downs.. 8-4-4 X 3 up 5 lbs 8-6-6, 8-4-4, 6-4-4 my upper back was screaming, now doubt I hit the spot up a total of 30 lbs on this exercise...
Decline close grip bench 8-4-4 X 3 no increase 8-5-5, 8-4-4, 8-4-4 was a real battle that last set..
Wheel of death 6 reps up a couple reps from last week, core is still pretty trashed.
Deads tonight!! I will play it by ear on the push press as my shoulders are still pretty fuggin tight.
If anyone questions DW's beast status they will have to come at me! Jeez you kill it man, makes me want to lift today on my off day! Never tried the decline CGBP, need to give that a shot. How do you like it? How does it differ from a flat CGBP in terms of muscle activation?
I like the Decline close grip as well. Hits the tri from a slightly different angle.
DW you and that wheel of death... makes me want to cry everytime you post that. Knowing you do it from the standing position just floors me!!!
