Why such high rep range when your bulking/mass building?

Its just a basic program from some book I bought when I first started lifting, I never tried it before and Im giving it a shot now. Im sore as hell from it, I mean really fukking sore. My legs are still toast from Monday, my calves are fuct as well. At the 6th week mark this program switches over to an active recovery phase(1 week of 2 total body w/o's for that week), then I go into a lower rep phase for another 6 weeks. I think I can skip the active recovery weeks being that Im on gear.

I need to manipulate the program a bit, this program doesn't have me doing deads until week 7! F that

LMFAO! I hate the bike I bought, I don't want one with suspension(it bottoms out just from my body weight), I am taking it back asap. I want one that does not have handle grip shifters, I was constantly shifting gears on accident, it also shifts real rough, feels/sounds like the chain is about to fall off.

Craigslist is nuts. I bought a 90 bronco custom 5spd with the 302 in it (this combo is rare) for 1700 bucks :D

I added in more calories yesterday, by increasing portions on breakfast and by adding almonds as a snack between one of my meals. I am going to increase the size of my post w/o meal today, I think I'll add in another 4oz chicken and a bit more brown rice.
 
Yesterday I heard something calling my name...traced the sound down to my 30ml of test e. :-) I must be strong and keep patient. Good thing I don't have all the syringes yet. LOL

If I do time off = cycle + PCT it would be mid September. However, I think I will take a longer break and don't plan to start until mid oct at the earliest. I had a rougher time recovering from this cycle so I want to give my hormones a decent break before jumping on again.
 
In for this one, quite the cycle you have planned. Watching and learning...

Thanks man, I went back out and did 4 sets of deads 20,16,10,6(w/ 30 second rest periods). I don't like that this program does not include deads until later on, so I threw them in today.

With this type of workout (lots of volume and very little rest) are you trying to lean out some more? This looks like a routine to cut on instead of being a mass builder.

Im trying to stay lean while gaining more muscle. This routine is supposed to be purely Hypertrophy training

This w/o was just brutal, I was sweating like whore in church the whole time. Im still a little nauseous
 
What sort of training protocol are you following? That's a fk ton of squats. I'm nauseous reading it...

Hypertrophy Phase # 1 Volume Training
Duration 6 weeks
Purpose: Increase the body's muscle mass levels through intra-cellular increase of energy substrates and water.

Training methodology: For this phase, the 10 sets of 10 method and the 8 sets of 8 method were selected. Both methods have been proven to be fantastic at increasing muscle mass as muscles are systematically fatigued. For the 10x10 routine, a mass building exercise is chosen and a weight that you are able to use for 15 reps is selected. However, you will stop at 10 reps. If you keep the same weight for all ten sets, once fatigue sets in, you will find the sets more and more challenging. The 8x8 routine will be used in the same manner, except you will select a weight that you can use for 12-13 reps.
For both routines, one additional exercise is selected that serves as an active recovery exercise for the remaining upper body or lower body parts not trained directly that day.

Y. I have used the 10 sets of 10 on lagging parts before, its brutal

if your doing 10 reps 10 sets with no rest... wouldnt that be 100 reps 1 set
 
so you're stacking dbol w. sd? hows that panning out?

Im really liking it, lethargy isn't bad at all at these doses(10mg sd, 25mg dbol). Once I get started on a workout Im just in the zone and I have wicked endurance. Alot of people like drol w/ dbol, and I think this is pretty similar.

How long do these wo typically take mate?

About 45-60minutes, maybe more. I kinda stopped keeping track of the time lately. I usually know exactly how long I was in the gym, but Ive just been in the zone lately, the only time I look at the clock is too count the seconds between sets. I'll make an effort to check next time.
 
Just an update with my own cycle Tim:

I've been using sustaplex 650mg once weekly, and everything is going really smoothly right now; the dbol finished up just over a week ago. I'm just about in week 6, and it's seriously kicked in at this point. I'm up about 23lbs right now overall will fairly limited bloat. I'm using Adex and hCG in there as well. I'm VERY impressed overall with the sustaplex and the once weekly dosing regimen. This cycle has re-established my faith in test blends.

The overall strength and size gains are really starting to hit their stride right now. I wish I could have logged this bad boy, but I just don't have the time.

Awesome news on the cycle man! 23lbs is sick! Im thinking the longer esters(cyp deca) have built up enough for me to go to 1-2 injects a week, Im getting tired of the eod injects. Keep us updated on your progress, bud!
