So my first two workouts for this cut were Pulling, then Pushing, respectively.
I have been working out with less weight lately, focusing more on perfect form and muscle contraction than the weight I am moving.
Pulling -
RDL - 135x8, 225x8, 315x8, 405x5, 365x5
Hammerstrength pull downs - 1 platex20, 2 platesx15, 2 platesx12
Hammerstrength low row - 1 platex20, 2 platesx15, 2 plates x 15
Cable row - 120x20, 140x15, 160x12
straight arm pressdowns - 50lbs x15x 3 sets
DB curls - 25x20, 35x14, 40x12
3 drop sets of barbell curls - 70x6, 50x8, 30x10 got a killer pump from that one.
40 minutes on bike
Pushing
Bench Press - 135x20, 185x12, 185x10, 185x10, 185x10. I wanted to see if I could get at least 10 reps for all 4 working sets with 185. I accomplished this, so I will progress in weight next week. I really worked hard on using my chest in a complete range of motion, taking my pecs to a full stretch to an intense contraction. I am feeling fibers torn today like I haven't in a while. I think backing off was a good thing.
Incline DB - 60x12, 75x10, 75x8, drop to 60x12 I noticed my strength starting to drop off earlier in my workouts, probably from my body acclimating to a lack of carbs.
Hammerstrength bench - 1 plate x20, 1 plate 1 25 x15, 2 plates x12 - my inner chest gets a great contraction from this exercise.
Cable Cross - 70x20, 80x15, 80x13
Skull Crusher - 25'sx20, 35'sx12, 40'sx9
Dips - 20 bodyweight dips x 3 sets
Cable pressdowns v grip - 2 burnout sets.
20 min HIIT
1 hour yoga. Not really sure why I enjoy this so much, other than that I am inflexible as heck, pretty girls, and I sweat like no other when I do this after my workout. (I always get BCAA's before my cardio and a shake before my yoga) It's actually really challenging for me, gets me breathing, and man I must look like a goofball doing it. But I think it will help me in the long run... plus an hour of being quiet and no cell phone does wonders for my stress levels.
So far so good. I am working on my diet, it is actually very similar to Tyler's diet. I guess I am lower carb than I thought. I gotta go to the airport for a bit, more diet updates tonight.
