Agree with Metroflex Arlington but it’s gonna be a drive from Frisco, that’s the one Ronnie was at! Food wise, you have to try BBQ the closest best bet is Lockhart in McKinney,(there’s normally a line wrapped around the building) but my favorite is pecan lodge in Dallas but I’m trying to keep it within a good driving distance. You also need to try covens in Plano. You have to get the lasagne (best I’ve ever had by far) and their smoked chicken ravioli with basil crème sauce. Literally game changer. Also legacy west in Plano on the edge of Frisco has a food hall, with about 8 to 10 little food truck style restaurants, it’s all inside and they have an outside patio, def worth it because it’s close and you get a crap ton of options, it’s not far from the star in Frisco. And yeah I know Florida will be good overall, but my biggest concern is professionally. I work for a fire department here in dfw, one of the better higher paying ones. I thought with Florida being twice as expensive to live, the departments would pay more. It’s looking like I’m wrong and the best case scenario, I take a 21k pay cut. Not only that, but I’m looking at annual run reports and across the board, the call volume is higher. It’s also the geriatric capital, which most of our calls is elderly. So I’m taking a huge pay cut and increasing my workload. Which obviously doesn’t sound fun. The goal is always to make more while working less lol. Oh, also I’m not sure if you’ve been to a Buc-ees before but it’s a gas station and kinda an experience everyone loves here. Their bathrooms have 24/7 attendants that clean the toilets literally after every use. So its like a relief when you know you have to take a **** because the toilets can be eaten off of lol
