I'm always on my iPhone, I have 4 laptops that are all screwed up in different ways and I don't do anything on them I can't do with an iPhone.

I use android phone and tablet,, between the two I can access and do anything I want .. only thing I use my pc or laptop for is downloading music and movies!

My wife just picked one up for me to start downloading books on etc. haven't got a chance to download one book yet but she's read two already in the last week. I've played around here an there trying to get used to it but i dunno it seems glitchy

The one I was posting with is the one I bought my 10yo daughter for reading books. No books yet but a lot of Angry Birds :)

I have the 7" galaxy tablet. It has the kindle app, plus full internet and android app market access and functionality. I love it, but am about to upgrade to the new, faster 8" tablet. Android accesses full websites which kicks apples arse as far as I'm concerned!

That's one of the very few reasons I actually do like the Mac, it spellchecks even my forum posts as I type them.
 
People who are very negative and complain about everything in just about every thread.

Another, that can also be linked with the previous one, is those people who voluntarily go into somebody's log just to complain about why they hate logs. Here's a prime example:

I hate logs. Here are my reasons. I don't care what your max lifts are or how much weight you can lift. Don't want see your damn workout every single day. Don't give a rats ass what you had for breakfast or "meal 1". The last thing I want to see is a picture of a guy with his shirt off flexing. I don't like when I have shift through ten pages of posts like "in", "subbed", "following".

If you're gonna review a product fine. If you lost fat or gained muscle or strength just say something like, "added 10 pounds to my deadlift!", "lost another 2 pounds of fat today!", "I look bigger in the mirror". All the sh*t is why I typically avoid reading logs.

Pretty sure this person wasn't asked to sub to the log or mandated to follow, yet he feels the need to rant and complain about logs...in a log. :confused:

I have spell check on my forum posts and I use a PC. It may be Firefox or Windows...not very PC savvy myself.

I have to remember that most of the posters here are kids (relatively speaking) with little life experience, training experience or communication skills.

Didn't know that. Whenever I use the computers at school (PC) I use internet explorer and it doesn't do that for me. Guess the browser makes a difference.

True. I have many times I joke around with people I know on the boards but I don't go around berating people who's opinions don't line up with mine. However, there are also those that are very naive and need a "callout" like the kid trapp mann for example.

As somebody mentioned, if you sub to a thread it's easy to go directly back to that thread without having to dig. This is especially handy for me since I use Tapatalk 99% of the time.

Hate to point out the obvious,, but posting in here is closer to texting than writing ....lol.... it's amazingly douchebaggy to nitpick punctuation and grammar!! What cracks me up most on here are the people with absolutely no sense of humor! People that get all butthurt as if someone's opinion on here has any real effect on real life!

any of the steroid police posts. Its one thing to tell someone its a bad idea to use them (in their situation) and explain to them why, and quite different to just tell them they are an idiot and give no useful advice.

No...illiterate texters have made it closer to texting that writing. Some of us have been writing on this board and others long before texting existed and still write. As a matter of fact I write in complete words and sentences when I text. Laziness (and illiteracy) has devolved the language to what you see and read today.

We have a sense of humor. That is why we are laughing. I am far from butthurt about any of this. It is purely for fun. It just happens to be that a major majority are guilty and likely then take offense.

I swear,, I love this site!! I tried BBdotcom.. was red negged constantly and banned twice!! Those retarded fools had no sense of humor and were just plain retarded!! Lol... they banned me and said i was a cop fishing, for talking about using more androgel than prescribed!! Haha!!

I got negged to redzville within 10 minutes of signing up over there just for introducing myself.
I had to do it as a rep, and I reported every one of them and they all got infractions and I laughed at their expense.
I only use it now to talk to my boss because he never uses this place.
This is my home though. The people I talk to here are much more serious about the lifestyle and couldn't care less about diamond studs in their ears, what kind of hair gel to use, or being part of a cyber gang.

That reminds me.

You make a very good point here. I have to switch modes when I am typing a paper for a course or writing an essay for a standardized test. When I talk to people via text or IM I use so many abbreviations it really does start to influence how you write overall. But on here I feel like I am talking to friends even though I don't really know anyone so my typing tends to go that route..
 
I commend you for acknowledging it. I completely understand how it happens. What concerns me is that it tends to devolve our language and communication skills, as now some of these "text" words are becoming recognized as legitimate words and included in dictionaries. Kids learning basic launguage skills have no solid foundation to start with, even from their parents, as they are as guilty as most kids.

When texting devices (ones in my budget) were limited (10key) I refused to buy a texting plan with my provider simply because of that aspect of it. Once, seemingly everyone had a qwerty keybaord, I agreed to get an unlimited texting plan. I still communicate with complete words for the most part but I do use it for abbreviated words or terms.

This is definitely a more casual form of communication,, I don't really feel the desire to read elongated scientific journal style writings on a forum .... keep things simple, friendly, concise and informative is all I ask... :)
