Great info in there. DC training also included 30 second static holds along with painful weighted stresses to get extra fatigue and damage stimulus so that helps when the playing field. Both are fantasticly optimized programs so I wouldn't expect myoreps to out pace DC by much if at all. Honestly it comes down to which ever system a particular individual does better on in the long run. DC I'm sure burns alot of people out.
I'd love to get those PDFs if you dont mind. I have read an article that was translated from him about his system but I'm sure four PDFs will be much more through.
Sure send me you address and yeah the static holds to stretch the fascia was a big part of it with DC and part I loved. I still add them in sometimes. This guy gives Dante a lot of credit for DC training, definitely in no way bashes it. I found I ended up with some injuries to tendons and what not with the beat the log mentality. I am more mentally tough than my body can withstand in that respect. Of course I am about to be 41 so I have to watch what I am doing. I think for me personally I may get more out of this just by being able to keep at it longer without injury.
He has you start at 20-25 reps or as it says 20-25 + 20 wich ends up being 20-25 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 5. So the weights are lighter which will be great since my biceps tendon is currently bitching at me. Although the reps drop pretty quickly but should give me time for rest with all the higher reps in the beginning. So it kind of progresses along the lines of HST in that respect. Also the minisets are lower on biceps & triceps so that will be like 15 total after the 20-25.
I may very well do the Widow Makers on squat days instead of straight sets...
Well you don't really even have to go to true failure on higher volume stuff just keep increasing the weight, even if in micro increments like a lb or two. It all adds up.thanks for pasting that up clean. looks like an awesome program. after today i've got 6 more weeks on mountain dog. i'm tossing the idea around of going dc when im done. that makes the decision difficult!
rev, you could add the dc static holds/stretches into that program just as easily. i think because of the rest pause set up in what kleen has outlined, there may be a slight bit more volume and a bit more pump than DC. i honestly dont think any program will outpace any other out there anymore these days. even a simple wendlers 5-3-1 for a few cycles will put good meat on your bones if your nutrition and intensity is there. the biggest thing is not cheating ones self. push as much weight as you can to TRUE failure in any program like you're supposed to and you will grow.
Yeah Buddy and I do!Can add static stretches and weighted holds in any program if you like pain![]()
Yeah this was great. I watched it yesterday I think.Just gonna leave this here. The IIFYM explanation is hilarious lol pocket muffin!
