I just thought I'd take the time to thank Dr.D here for recommending Fenugreek to me to bring my boys back to life after a cycle of superdrol.

I ran a 4 week cycle of superdrol successfully and did a 2 week pct a few months ago and recovered excellent. Second time around I ran it for 2 1/2 weeks while cutting and felt like I was severly shutdown so I cut it short and started pct. I ran nolva with 6oxo through pct for 3 weeks without having any growth in my testicles come back. My libido and erections were fine but nut size was severly lacking still. Dr.D recommended Fenugreek and here I am 3 days later with pretty much full size recovery !!

So I'm just giving 2 thumbs and want to recommend fenugreek to any of you guys who are hesitant, it definately did wonders for me and I'm very suprised at how fast they grew back. It makes your piss and skin smell like maple syrup which is kind of nice :) .

I'll never go without this again for pct for future cycles! This stuff is great for recovery.

Revolumizer :D For some reason, that made me laugh...maybe I'll include it in PCT for me. Day 1 I'll drop the boys in a beaker and get volume measurements, and upon completion I'll take measurements again....calculate teh percentage difference, too :D
 
I've only been taking it for 4 days now, I followed Dr.D's advice and have been taking 4 pills at night before bedtime. It's real cheap stuff, I picked up a container at my local health store for under 10 bux so its not pricey either.

Hey Doc, What does Fenugreek actually do aside from blowing the boys back up? Natural Test booster?

adding fenugreek extract to your post workout carb drink, the rate of muscle glycogen resynthesis increases by 63%..wow..It would be interesting to see how it affects recovery from hard workouts..It also implies a possible benefit in a carb drink DURING a workout, especially us endurance athletes training for many hrs. at a time..I'm gonna try it..

The addition of fenugreek extract (Trigonella foenum-graecum) to glucose feeding increases muscle glycogen resynthesis after exercise.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of ingesting an oral supplement containing 4-Hydroxyisoleucine (4-OH-Ile, isolated from fenugreek seeds [Trigonella foenum-graecum]) with a glucose beverage on rates of post-exercise muscle glycogen resynthesis in trained male cyclists. Following an overnight fast (12 hr), subjects completed a 90-minute glycogen depletion ride after which a muscle biopsy was obtained from the vastus lateralis. Immediately and 2 hours after the muscle biopsy, subjects ingested either an oral dose of dextrose (Glu) (1.8 g.kg BW(-1)) or 4-OH-Ile supplement (Glu+4-OH-Ile, including 2.0 mg.kg(-1) 4-OH-Ile with the same oral dose of dextrose) with a second muscle biopsy 4 hours after exercise. Post exercise muscle glycogen concentration was similar for both trials. Overall, there was a significant increase in glucose and insulin concentrations from time 0 throughout the majority of the 4-hour recovery period, with no significant differences between the two trials at any time point. Although muscle glycogen concentration significantly increased from immediately post exercise to 4 hr of recovery for both trials, the net rate of muscle glycogen resynthesis was 63% greater during Glu+4-OH-Ile (10.6+/-3.3 vs. 6.5+/-2.6 g.kg wet wt.(-1).hr.(-1) for the Glu+4-OH-Ile and Glu trials, respectively). These data demonstrate that when the fenugreek extract supplement (4-OH-Ile) is added to a high oral dose of dextrose, rates of post-exercise glycogen resynthesis are enhanced above dextrose alone.

Honestly, I also have always loved trib/fenugreek prods for PCT or to help in pct. My old fav was tribestan by sopharma bulgaria. I good one for the money is FUZE by scivation.
 
I am a believer of Fenugreek too, thanks to Dr.D. I used it with Nolva during my PCT for really less than 2 weeks and made a great recovery. I took 4 caps at night the first week then 6 caps at night the second week. So 2g the first week all right before bed and 3g second week all right before bed. They were the Now brand FG from Nutraplanet 500mg. I didn't really notice the syrup smell that often but then again I don't really sweat all that much. I caught a wiff occasionally, nothing beats smelling like Aunt Jemima on a hot day though.
 
thanx again dr.d! at the end of a very suppressive 13-weeker (tren,1-test,4ad cyp and some orals)my total test was 160. when doing just nolva and fenugreek for 5 weeks my test hit 611.

I think it may be of some use but its probably overrated.

youi09, you ran a proper nolva pct so it was probably about time you recovered with fenugreek or not.

There is no study that implies fenugreek is even useful for fenugreek. If it was even mildly useful for increase natural testosterone I would imagine there would be an abundance of studies since its one of the oldest herbs in tradional use in many different cultures. Its traditional use is for breastfeeding possibly by its natural plant estrogen and for diabetes (the glucose study supports this).

So why haven;t there been even the slightest hint of interest in its testosterone boosting properties when useless herbs like trib/chrysin get tons of news?
 
No one is asking you to take it. People are simply posting/sharing their results with the product. I, among others, stand to make $0.00 for anyone choosing to buy or not to buy trib/fenugreek containing supps.....

There are many old-school reports of a variety of phytosterols/beta-sitosterols that raise test levels, maybe by it's effects on chol metabolism, or by direct effect on the CNS, I haven't found a good answer yet myself. But it works.

I don't know, I've always used the whole, ground seed. Unless it's cheap, the extract seems like overkill. The seed is strong. Extracts are usually more helpful with naturally weak products, but alcoholic extraction would concentrate the sterol levels, so it makes sense that it would be a good product.

I have a lb. of Fenugreek myself. Can't wait to try it.

Thanks S.norman! That's a good flip, 160 to 611 in 5wks is nice. :) SERM and fen/trib are definately synergistic in my experience.

hah, yeah it costs a whopping $3.50 too. I believe that it also has cholesterol benefits as well, forgot where I saw it though.

Grassroots082 was taking 500mg caps. Were yours also 500mg? I've seen it in different amounts.
 
I like fenugreek as well. "Brought 'em back alive" after a 3wk SD cycle that left me a little shrunkin'.

I purchased the whole ground seed, but I think I will go with the extract next time.

I just wanted to make sure that the actives were actually alcohol soluble and it wasn't a ripoff. :)

Yeah, it's my trib replacer. I think they work by a very similar mechanism, but the fen is quantitatively stronger. I haven't used trib together with it, but it would seem to be unnecessary. My brand is Nature's Way, the caps are 610mg each. I take 4 caps/day the first wk all right before bed, 5 the second, 6 the third, then break for a wk or two and start again if needed. You develop a fast tolerance but upping the dose restores the effect. It still needed to be cycled in a short 3 wk pattern though for maximum benefit.

I'd probably encapsulate it, but you could spoon it if the taste isn't so bad. The same doses would apply: 2-2.5g initially. With the extract, much less would be required depending on the concentration ratio.
 
how come the dose is so little compared to that for blood sugar and/or cholesterol. ive heard 15g - 90g a day. i cant see how 2g would make a difference given that thats not even enough to put in a curry!
 
How does it (fenugreek) do for mood elevation? I've been a little more "airheaded" and "zoned out" it seems since I ended my SD run. I ran about 15 mg / day for 3.5 weeks, and I'm 1.5 weeks into PCT right now running Rebound XT and Lean Xtreme, also been taking DHEA for pct...

I never have noticed mental effects from fenugreek, though DHEA seems to energize my thinking somewhat(a lot of androgens do) and I think that Rebound stabilizes my mood swings above normal control even at low doses.

I know the SD made me feel GREAT like the first week, I mean I was in a ridiculously outstanding mood. Since PCT it's kinda been gloomy days though lol... I feel so "zoned out" all the time... I'm generally pretty moody though, maybe thats why

Try some DHEA, you probably just have a little dopaminergic down-regulation right now. A stimulant would probably help too, but time will restore your chemical balance.
 
The DHEA at 200 mgs /day during PCT really helped my mood. Last cycle sent me off the deep end rather abruptly. The downside is it really helps androgen related acne along.
 
Just thought I'd update.

I'm in on the third week folling Dr.D's dosing and my test feels signifcantly elevated(placebo? I don't think so). I'm using nothing but the Fenugreek at the moment and loads are outta control and I"m starting to get some acne on back for whatever reason, I rarely get any acne at all. On top of that I'm cutting with dramatically low calories with days of extremely low fat intake, so my test shouldn't be too high but things are looking just great as of now.

Thanks for the post dude! Fenugreek is now part of my regular PCT, works great and my boy's are back and swinging.
 
I'm using Fen with RXT for PCT and I got back acne for the first time ever. Been taking for 3 weeks.
 
I'm finishing up fourth week and loads are outta control even while I'm cutting on low cals ( too much info )
 
brought me back to size in 2 days but i was only slightly suppressed. If anything, my nuts are getting bigger than wheni started :0
 
So pope... how is the rxt and the fenu coming alone for you.. Im planning on running the rxt with lx... and i was thinkging about throwing in some fenu and dhea. has the acne gotten any better?
 
If you're taking RXT you're GONNA get acne... Period... It was bad on me (but I'm vain) and I don't get acne...
