I decided that I'm naming my next dog bro 100%. "Come on bro. Bro, sit." awesome

I haven't done trap bar DL in a long time anyone wanna critique my form? I think I need to sit down more to get a little more power from the bottom but It felt good and I wasn't getting any stress in my lower back, the last couple came down to fast but I was having issues holding the weight. (You can see it falling out of my hands)

I have straps but I'm trying to force my grip strength to improve.

There has been this fly in my house irritating me all day. I just finally knocked him out of the air and could see that he was still alive. I grabbed him by a wing, told him "you should have known better." Then I spit in his face and threw him outside. On a side note I think the d-pol is starting to work. I've been taking it about 12 days now.

I did, but I've never used a trap bar, and have no idea what proper form is. I always thought it was just a squat from the floor essentially.

Pretty much same as normal Deadlift but different hand placement.. I had one when I was in hs

And it keeps the weight closer to your body, that way its not throwing off your center of gravity by holding the weight in front of you.

The form or the exercise? I ask because the exercise is a whole different thing than bb deadlift. The weight is at a completely different leverage point and is not an actual deadlift (according to elitefts) renowned authority on all things powerlifting. Not saying it isn't a great exercise I'm sure it gives you a good workout, but it isn't a real deadlift.

"In a traditional deadlift, the loading is out infront of your feet. This creates a torque(shear force) that your body needs to balance. This is accomplished by many muscles, but is most felt in the lower back erectors. Since you need to stay behind the bar, your quads/anterior chain are not stressed nearly to the degree that your posterior chain/glute/ham/back is stressed. A great exercise for strengthening the posterior chain.

Trap bars have the load inline with your feet. This neutralizes the torque created by the bar being infront of you in a traditional dead(reduced shear force). Now the quads/anterior chain is able to assist to a much greater extent. This usually translates into a stronger lift. The stress has been moved forward. A great exercise for overall development."

This is what I mean basically, but it's put more eloquently. It's a good exercise, but it isn't the same exercise.

That's why I asked. I wasn't sure about the form on it and didn't want to be like "form looks great brah." Solid lift though Jim 315 is no slouch on any exercise IMO.

Saw a midget out at Walmart today... She was with a Mexican Lmfao .. thought of reaction and his fetish

Yeah I get that

My facebook is going crazy with all the Olympia stuff, I'm glad Dewey is there so this thread is being represented in Vegas lol.

Buick, the only thing I saw in the video to adjust is to bring your feet in closer together under you. If you watch, your knees come in on the lifts. Move your feet in to keep this from happening. Good stuff otherwise!

Ill have to watch it as I didn't see that, I do a wide stance on squats to push my knees out and I probably tried to bring that into these. Ill give it a try, thanks brother!

Get your feet closer together, squat down a bit more. Arch your back up puffin your chest out and look up. Lean back and drive with your feet. When you hit the top... Lock it out. Shrug your shoulders back.
