Fat intake with your PHs

I have seen members mentioning that eating a meal with high fat helps the absorption of a PH..

Is this true for ALL PH/DS? Or only certain kinds?

I heard fats helps prohormones absorb better and I heard it also helps with the prohormone half life. I'm pretty sure it's all prohormones but I could be wrong

Yes, this is so very true. With each serving (just my suggestion) eat a meal high in fats, better absorption all day bab-a-baby.

I've actually put Epistane in EVOO and drank that (was nasty...better off using macadamia nut oil). I noticed the sense of well being hit much faster than without the oil/fats.

I don't believe this to be true. I don't believe methylated steroids can benefit from fat intake. I tend to think the opposite. Steroids are fat soluble - non-polar lipids that can probably dissolve in undigested fat in the stomach. This means less steroid gets into the bloodstream where it needs to get to. fat is not so easily digested, especially unsaturated fat.

So methylated it's ok to take on empty stomach and non-methylated I should take with tbsp of fat to help absorption?

Llewellyn kind of agrees with you I believe. in his book, the talk about the soluble nature of steroids with fat. but goes on to recomend methylated steroids be taken on an empty stomach, while saying for the non methylated ones, taking them with fats may increase absorbtion.

this isn't a direct quote, just my conclusion of the info in his book.

methylated steroids- empty stomach

pro hormones- with a meal that contains mostly if not all healthy fats. (you still want to keep total fat intake to a minimum.)

hmm yeah, I cant really see how it would help all that much, because most steroids are soluble enough to pass through cell membranes quite readily. I know some vitamins and lipids need a small amount of dietary fat to metabolize sufficiently. It's possible there could be some benefit.
