Just looking for good variations in my routine. How about grip size? Are variations mainly to aid in grip strength?
I've always found the straight bar best for overall bulk. I really think of EZ bar curls as more of a concentration exercise, depending on what grip you're using. Wide grip seems to target more of the entire bicep, where as narrow grip is more of a concentration curl for working on your bicep peak.
Long story short, if it's overall mass you are going for, I think there is no better exercise than straight bar curls.
