I assume the hand sanitizer is a simple hydroalcoholic gel? Just don't go too nuts. The benzyl alcohol, along with the penetration enhancers we use, are what speeds up absorption through the dermal matrices and past the dermal vasculature before it has a chance to pick it up abd send it sytemic. Diluting it too much will send more actives into the blood stream instead of keeping it in the area applied.
Great info, I was wondering about this. I don't know much about the localized carriers, more systemic. The stuff I'm using is about 63% ethyl alcohol and I'm assuming carbomer - didn't look. For me, for some reason, the stuff just smears and is very goopy and this helps. My shirts still stick to my sides for at least an hour after, maybe even 2. But any input would be appreciated...
