Election of 2012....Who ya got?

Other than Ron Paul, the rest of the candidates are so weak I could not vote for any of them.

Me too, but Id consider voting for Michele Bachmann if she was running just because she would give late night talk show so much material. Id be set for 4 years.

I agree. I hope he is still on the ballot somehow for election just so I can vote for the man I believe in. I hate having to vote for a second rate president like Obama, Newt or Romney. Then again maybe everyone else will feel the same way I do and we just won't even vote at all, lol. Maybe the electoral votes will also feel the same way and think that there is no real candidate worth voting for.

Quite honestly we don't even need a president we just need someone to volunteer to get out of the way and let us be.

exactly what the office of president was designed for.

3 branches of govt stop from this slippery slope to tyranny.
why on earth would any American be applauding when Obama is saying he's asked for more power to consolidate govt.

yeah well I reserve the belief that there are 4 branches of government now. The 4th being the Indepedent Regulatory Agencies. I hate those IRA's!!! They restrict our freedom's to nothing! IRA's aren't even constitutional.

Santorum really does come off as a douche.Watched him for the first time in an interview yesterday morning.Almost immediately disliked the guy.

what specifically are you referring to?

What do you guys think about Rand Paul, I'm curious.

Not a excact Ron Paul clone...and unlike Ron Pauls decade's of consistancy Rand needs to be proven with time, and proven not to ever sell out.

Ron Paul is really a stepping stone for the future, Ron cant be the complete object of focus. Having Rand is a good thing (so far).

Nothing he said in particular, just the way he carried himself.I have a hard time identifying with any one on the far right. For me,anyway, most issues are not as black and white as the so called social conservatives make them out to be.I think Santorum will win quite a few of the midwest States, though.
I will have to do some research on where he stands on the main issues before I can make a final ascertation.

just wondered.

did anyone see that $800 million of the new budget is going to Arab spring countries?

true.

at least there's a budget this year haha

Nobody knows what the budget is, the military, pentagon, area 51, etc....run off black budgets as well. They can cut a billion in public and raise 2 billion in black budgets and nobody will ever complain.

hahha I know man.

it's all a joke at this point.

just like they use "safety and freedom" to push the TSA, drones, etc...they are using religious rhetoric for this contraceptive crap.

next term it will be gun owners.

the progressives have a blueprint of polarizing any view point that isn't the socialized big govt view

and this year Obama will have 2 million zombies under his "truth squad"

They fund their own operations too, so really they can do whatever they want even against the wishes of the white house and get away with it.

They are working on the gun part, amazing on how Obama was linked to the "Fast and Furious" but the problem they claim is the American people.

Speaking of Zombies, there are similarities by Obama's Civilian Military (Thats officially funded by the Health Care Bill, lol) and the Hitler Youth.

dude.

we ARE the Weimar republic.

we've already spoken about how they are painting average every day Americans as domestic terrorists

no, there won't be. the senate won't pass one. Last year Mitch McConnel (the minority leader) brought Obama's budget up for a vote because Reed refused to. the vote was 97-0 (no-yes). Same will happen this year. rule by continuing resolution...

He lost his senate seat by a large margin here as I recall, funny now he is a presidential front runner. Go figure

Front runner in straw polls, not delegates ;)

most recent national has him in almost a dead heat with Romney. Unreal....I cannot believe that the 4 remaining with the best options the republicans had. Seriously? This was an election they could win, and they throw these 4 out there?

my thoughts exactly.

I can picture September or October they will launch a Gulf of Tonkin and be in war with Iran completely changing the environment of this election.

we will be at war with Iran by the election, thats no mystery.

what's unknown is how china and Russia will respond to this. Obama is courting china right now...but they will always support Iran.

Who cares anymore. Its all goin down hill from here. America will have its fate with or without a good president. We as a people can either pick ourselves up, fix our own economy, and move on or we can continue to let congress take over our country and pull us all down from here. I'm convinced our leader and role model will not be coming from the White House.

I think you would see big anti-war movements, but most people out of fear that are home and quite will vote for the one who is war hungry, which we already have proven in Obama (and will have a chance to further prove in Iran pre-election.)

The Obama regime has met with the future leader of the Chinese regime today in Washington.

Well this is the "election" thread, so I think people who come here have an interest, lol

Not trying to debate your good post, its very true.

Just thought about his one for a minute...All you have to do with the China situation is tell them, you can run this oil field, and help with that one, etc...Just make it financially feasible for them and they are with the program, the same way they love the Afghan war and the Chinese contracts in operation over there.

For Mitt Romney, the winning the Maine Caucus this past Saturday became a necessity after losing three battles in Missouri, Minnesota, and Colorado to former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum. Coming in third in Minnesota, far behind Congressman Ron Paul wasn’t helping his media ordained status as the frontrunner in the 2012 Republican Presidential primaries either. Residents and voters of the state that he had ignored until late this past weekend were likely surprised to see Mitt Romney personally speaking at several caucus locations. It was, however, enough for Mitt Romney to squeak a win past Ron Paul with 39% of the vote to Paul’s 36%–194 votes separating the two. Several key caucus events that the Maine GOP was involved in canceling, misreporting, or just flatly ignoring likely played a role in Romney’s victory.

1. Washington County

This conservative county had its caucus canceled by state GOP officials and, according to Paul campaign chairman Jesse Benton, Romney’s campaign was involved. The caucus was rescheduled for this Saturday because of reports of snow, which actually turned out to be a light dusting. John Tate, Ron Paul’s campaign manager, sent out an email blasting the state GOP for canceling the caucus, “The GIRL SCOUTS had an event today in Washington County that wasn’t canceled!”

Charlie Webster, the head of the Maine GOP, on Saturday evening stated that the results of Washington County would not be included in to the total, but luckily for the Paul campaign, the chair for Washington County is requesting that the results be counted. Disenfranchising and entire county is flat out absurd and every voter in Washington County should be furious.

2. Belfast, Maine

As per the official state GOP results, you would think that Mitt Romney had won the city, but the Chairman of the Belfast caucus claims that the “official” results are anything but accurate. At the caucus, the results of the vote were counted and announced publicly–much to the dismay of high ranking party officials. The Chairman of the caucus and several caucus goers maintain that Ron Paul won.

3. Androscoggin County

The WatchTheVote spreadsheet for this county has Ron Paul being under counted by 25 votes, which might seem like a small number, but when the margin of victory is 194 votes, it counts. The independently verified spreadsheet also lists other counties where Ron Paul was under reported.

And there are many, many more discrepancies between the Maine GOP’s numbers and the actual numbers.

On the bright side, however, Ron Paul supporters can look to their candidate’s own words during his speech after the Maine caucuses in which he claimed that he would likely carry the Maine delegation at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida this August. Just as a Romney win in Iowa flipped into a Santorum win when the votes were accurately and honestly counted, Ron Paul may just win Maine if this Saturday’s Washington county caucus results are included and if his supporters continue to press the Maine GOP about the accuracy of the results.

So Rick Satanorum thinks we are at war with Satan and that Satan is attacking America?

Wow, and people try to convince me the Iranians are too religiously extreme, lol

I just can't comprehend how he has any support.

Try comprehending his supporters first, good luck with your findings..or exorcism.

Maybe thats not such a bad idea, at least it wont come with all the side effects of the pill and will save us tax dollars.

To tell you the truth I might get one of those for personal use if I decide to travel by air.
