Douchebags at the gym...

Yeah this guy was slamming things around like he was hot sh!t until I made my loud remark. One of those dudes that just got back into the gym and won't be around next month but think they're being tough slamming equipment around. Dropping benches on the ground from a foot up and irking and jerking and yanking on everything from cables to machines using them improperly. While sometimes amusing it's also upsetting cus although you know they won't be there a month or so later, the broken or rickety bench or machines will be :-/ bums

Yeah I hate people who mistreat equipment.

Man passing out like that is no joke. I don't know what it is with myself, poor circulation I figure *my feet are normally ice cold where my entire body could be burning up*, but most time I get up I'll somewhat black out kinda like that guy. Only a few times has it dropped me, or i'll just go straight to the ground so I don't fall like that dude haha. Last night for example I went to the bathroom, after pissing I started to black out and instead of going to the ground for safety I tried to stand up. I kneed the toilet and scratched my hand on the edge on the counter haha. I'm used to it. Wish I had the video of me passing out on the leg press

Haha, I was close to passing out few times. Once my vision dimmed and I started to see sparks of light like fireflies. Not fun when you just have lifted the bar over head.

EXACTLY when I was on the leg press I wasn't breathing, looks like little Diamond flashes!

Yeah, it looks kinda cool, shame you can't show those to anybody else ;-)

Don't know if anyone has mentioned these, but I can't stand "naked guy". The guy in the locker room who stays naked WAY too long. Even worse if they try to talk to you while naked. Don't want to see it. Get away from me. Put some clothes on. Another one (along the same lines) is the guy who stays in the locker room fully clothed for WAY too long. It's just creepy. What are you doing in here? The locker room is a place of TRANSITION. So TRANSITION, and get the hell out.

Naked guy cornered me today to ask about my wireless headphones.

I don't know dude...put your cawk away and ask me later.

Anywhere but a locker room charges would be filed! Lmao

The guy just standing in the locker room in his winter jacket playing nintendo with sounds on

i would say 80% at gyms are douchebags

Just signed up for a new gym. It's awesome!! All new weights.. Missing a few things like t bar and dip bar but I could make it work..havnt seen any DBs yet. They're actualy pretty cool but after a workout today me and ma boi were sitting in the sauna.. We two f*ckers are pretty big.. I hear a creeping sound but I thought it was water dripping an steaming..it turns out it was the bench the whole bench came smashing down. Probly the scariest thing ever. So I'm the douch at my new gym.. Greaaaaat

That's crazy and scary at the same time.

There's another video of a lady throwing up while dead lifting.

smh

K so I was in extra rage mode for squats tonight I'm about to hit 405 raw by 6, and this fuxking tight shirt wearing, capris sagging, hipster jumps on my rack and starts doing puss bitxh pull ups. Anyways I just stare at him, must have caught his attention cause he got off and I just stared him down as he walked away. He is lucky I was successful, cause if I hadnt got 405x6 he'd be dead

Side kick note -
I have a similar problem due to lower back problems (prior military) so I feel the fainting coming when I put a lot of strength in my lower back and deadlifts 99% do that for me ... I find that once I'm 1 below my 1RM to failure tho I have to stop and lay down for a good 20-45 seconds ... Some ppl state at me at the gym cuz I look retarded only dead lifting 365 and then look like I'm taking a nap but it helps me ... Or sit down and straighten my back against the wall

That sucks bro, I know how it is. It's happened to me since I was a little kid and I made a game of it. I'd see how far I could walk while "blacked out". Normally it's my sight that just goes blank, but sometimes I actually get wobbly legs and just dive. Normally it lasts around 10 seconds or so. I know that i've looked like a complete douche in the gym after squats. Reps>Rack Bar>Dive straight onto the ground so I don't fall into the sides of anything and lay there until I can see again. Maybe I should go to the doctor for this???

Right, head first on the rack.
Should re-title.
"Moby hits the dumbbells."

I had this problem after my closed head injury for like 3-4 years anytime Id lay back for bench or do anything I wasnt vertical for I'd get tunnel vision and start blacking out. I never used a spotter cus I hated explaining my situation. Was like a race to get my reps out before I black out. Sometimes I'd get the weight on the rack just in time and come to either sitting on the floor or I'd fall asleep on the bench for a few minutes. I still occasionally get vertigo

This could be because of head injuries lol i've had one too many. Weird part about it, either then are self inflicted or from one other person. No lie, a friend of mine is responsible for around 4 of my concussions and then of course hitting my head on the ground from falling. I wouldn't classify my feelings at vertigo, it's more lightheaded. As for blacking out from drinking that's not even the same thing lol. Last time I blacked out while drinking was my last concussion haha

Yesterday I was @ the gym and I was working out Back and I just finished up pullups and lat pulldowns. On to barbell rows. I see a guy doing barbell rows and he had a plate (45) and a ten on (155) which is no big deal, I'm not making fun or anything. He finished a set and I asked if I can work in with him cuz I usually do a "feel set" w/ 135 just to get my form and movement on point for the heavy stuff. He tells me "I just got 1 more". My argument issss why can't I just warm up on the 155 while you rest and not waste any time if this is gonna be your last working set coming up? Can't stand ppl!

Haha. Damn I'm nowhere that cool man ;-) I once cut out a bit of a finger between party and getting home. No idea how. I woke up to lots of blood marks on walls and doors.

On the subject of passing out. I have sometimes a feeling similar to when you've got water in ears and you can't hear properly, after some strenous activity like doing sprint work. Does not happen too often nowadays though. Usually what helps is to sit or crouch down for a few minutes. Otherwise I feel close to passing out.

As for passing out I only semi blacked out trying to get 525 on deads. I had it to waste but didn't lock out and was being stubborn. Haha. I get the ear thing at times too.

Lol can you imagine hearing a loud crash in the locker room and your first to respond only to find two big naked sweaty men piled on top of eachother on the ground on top of a broken wooden bench... Lmao! Suspicious?!

ROFL

Well on a different note, I found the new superdouche at my gym. This dude spends about an hour doing various core exercises every gym session. I really didn't make anything of it at first, thinking "well, maybe he's a fighter or maybe there's a purpose to this," and I would continue to mind my own business. But the past two times I was in the weight room, this dude was there, and then it all came together. This dude, he's small, but he'll take weight that's way too heavy for him and start flinging his body to his sides doing these one-armed, pretend-lateral raises that are about 1/3 too shallow, again flinging his whole body to bring it up. Then today he did one armed hyperextensions/rows hybrid on the bench, again flinging his whole body to bring the weight up. Finally he did this weird bent over clean/jump/bb curl hybrid ****. I guess without all that core work he would have broken his back already.

LMAO
probably so
We have a few guys like that at my gym too.
Trying to out do people twice their size.
I mean just physics alone tell you to calm down.

None the less ,
Sometimes I wonder what you could do with these guys if you were able to train them properly and still keep their eagerness and drive.
90 days of doing right, a lifetime of enjoying it vs.
pain.

Had a guy other day at workout anytime using chalk and wraps while shrugging 115 yeah thats right 115. I was like damn really if i had to go to the extent to use chalk and wraps to shrug that i would be at gym at all. I shrugged that when i started lifting in 7th grade....
Hahahah, so weird. I carried TVs that weighed 130lbs when I was 14. Thing was this 20 year old tube TV encased in glass. Can't focking use wrist wraps for that.

I use wrist straps to squat brah, come at me = the reply I got asked why this guy 25-30 was wearing straps for squat. He was a badass though with his 2 plate squats ya know with the 1/8 partial bend at the knees highbar status. I then found out later that he's currently on cycle by the PT there and not to mess with him cause he's dangerous and might roid rage....FFS my gym is the worst

ROFLMAO! last thing I'd want on is wrist-wraps while squatting, how the f*ck do you get rid of the bar if you have to bail?

Straps for back squats?! I'm trying to picture this. LOL

ManBeast, real men don't bail! :-D

I'd rather bail than f*ck something up by dropping form, I don't belt/wrap/suit for squats. and wraps and straps are different ;)

Haha, yeah I'd rather drop the bar than be out of gym with injury. I use gloves all the time, as my hands sweat like hell. Straps for deads and shrugs. Gloves w/ wrist wraps for snatches. I've seen oly lifters using straps, but they were moving sh*tloads of iron. Still, they squatted with bare hands.

I bought these hooks for when I grab 150lb dumbells to walk laps around the gym with ... other than that, I only use gloves with wrist straps to keep my hands soft and because I have arthritis in my right wrist

Yeah, I've never heard of anyone using wrist wraps on a bb squat. That's retarded.

I use gloves too cus I'm a sweaty bastard. I fukin hate using them cus they smell like shît all the time and I think theyre pûssy but Its better then dropping weight all the time cus of sweat.

I have no problem with wanting soft to touch hands,,, use gloves, hand creams, etc etc.... and still move that iron!! Ha!

At first I thought you were saying you use the gloves with hand cream , like the overnight ones they have for women. Lol.... My palms sweat my but knuckles dry and crack makes no sense

Sounds luxurious ! .... I have a friend you should meet , He's a real nice guy! Lol j/k

I'm not a big fan of gloves. They just feel weird, plus I'm not sure if I just had crappy gloves but mine would always leave black stains (they were black gloves) (no racist) on my hands which didn't come off too easily.

I use aloe vera on my hands before I go to sleep and after showers. Come at me rough manly hand bros!

I use one pair that's dyed black and leave stains (that's a problem of cheap dying process, I'd think) and one that is not dyed, no problems there. Those second are actually sailing gloves and, Mike, you can wash them so they don't get stinky :)
And yeah sweaty palms and dry, cracking skin - same here.
