inflation is at 4.99% compared to 4.16% last month and 0.12% last year....

in january 2008 when obama was inaugurated inflation was 0.1% the lowest in 54 years...by the end of 2008 inflation would hit 5.6% the highest in 17 years.

anyone seeing a trend here?
I do, both democrats inherited destroyed economies and the reserve bank dumped the inflatation rate to encourage more spending.

"Deflation, in turn, is a phenomenon associated with weak economic conditions.

In past years, low inflation in the U.S. triggered concern that the country may be heading to a Japanese-style low inflation trap."

Of course one would have expected inflation drop during a global pandemic where global spending dropped

The Federal Reserve was also created out of the response of the panic of 1907, and it wasnt long after their creation in 1913 we had the worst economic crisis of our entire history. They are probably the most corrupt private banking cartel in the history of civilization.

Jo Jorgensen warned about inflation back in July of last year.

Her election was stolen by both Republicrats and Demicans but Republicrats dont wanna bitch and complain until only they get duped.

And people think she didnt have the capacity to lead our country, LMFAO!

We all warned what was to happen but nobody listened, Heil Prezident Dump! But its Groper Joe's fault, sure....

Presidential nominee says Republicans and Democrats will tap it anyway

GREENVILLE, S.C.; July 27, 2020— Dr. Jo Jorgensen, Libertarian for president, has released the following statement, warning of the danger of another massive COVID-19 bailout bill being negotiated in Congress:

I’d advise you to hold on to your wallet, but it won’t do you any good so long as Democrats and Republicans remain in power. To fund their bailout bills, the Federal Reserve is printing trillions of dollars out of thin air, which will tap your wallet, whether you hang on to it or not.

Democrats want to spend another $3 trillion for so-called economic stimulus. Donald Trump wants to spend another $2 trillion. Joe Biden wants to spend $2 trillion just on green energy.

We may soon see another $2 trillion spending package signed into law.

That’s in addition to the $3 trillion that Democrats and Republicans spent on the C.A.R.E.S. Act and other stimulus bills just in the last four months.

And that’s on top of the $1 trillion deficit they created by spending far more than they took in for this year’s budget.

That comes to at least $6 trillion in new debt in less than a year. To put this in perspective, $6 trillion buys half of all the gold in the world, even at today’s high price per ounce.

Where do Democrats and Republicans get the money to pay for this?

They can’t borrow it, because the Federal Reserve has kept interest rates artificially low. At these low rates, they can’t find enough buyers of Treasury bills to fund the debt.

Instead, the Federal Reserve buys T-bills from the government by printing trillions of dollars out of thin air. Poof!

Why should counterfeiters bother to print fake bills that might be worth a few thousand dollars when they can work for the Federal Reserve?

But won’t someone have to pay for all this, you may ask? Yes — you!

Politicians will take your wealth in the form of inflation. Prices will rise, making your dollars worth less.

How much will they bleed from your wallet when this bill comes due? Six trillion dollars in new debt amounts to an average of $36,689 in new debt for every working American (including those who are seeking work).

That is to say, politicians’ reckless new spending this year alone will likely cost you, on average, $36,689 in inflation, along with other forms of loss, which include future tax increases, lower wages, cuts in government benefits, or a combination thereof.

What will you get for your $36,689 loss? That depends on who you are.

If you’re a “too big to fail” corporation, K Street lobbyists have your back. You’ll probably see billions.

If you’re fortunate enough to own stock in those giant corporations, you’re seeing a stock market rise, thanks to the Fed. If you’re in the richest ten percent, which own 81 percent of stocks, you just saw your net worth increase an average of $220,000 since the stock market bottomed out in March.

If you’re a small business, you may get a loan. But for many, it won’t be enough. The Partnership for New York City estimates that one-third of all the employers in that city will be closing their doors because of the pandemic shutdown. It’s not much better elsewhere.

And if you’re an average American worker, for your $36,689 loss, you might get back another $1,200 stimulus check and a few more weeks of unemployment benefits.

Sound like a good deal to you?

australian swimmer withdraws from olympic trials because man looked at her...geez.
Again, he can't see this but just to quickly highlight something:

The people complaining that people withdraw from the Olympics because of how other people make them feel, are the same people who cancel, mute block and ignore those who have opposing views on a message board.

At the end of the day, isn't being free the ability to do both of those things? If you say that 'snowflakes melt in water', yet block people and threaten to cancel them because dislike their views, aren't you just as much of a snowflake?

The answer is yes.

We don't agree on a lot, but we are discussing highly controversial and divisive topics.

If we discussed normal interests, we'd probably have more in common than we realise.

Heck, I don't agree with the views of some of my closest friends but we are still friends.

“Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.”

Yeah sure, the US gave him the chemical weapons in the 80s when they were financing both sides of their war with Iran, and who are we to tell him what he can or can’t have? They had nothing to do with 9/11 and we shared similar enemies. Why not nuke China? They are far more dangerous than Saddam shythead and his Chicago thug army lol

You’re moving goal posts. The question wasn’t who gave him WMDs. The question was do you not believe he was in possession of them. We went after him because he not only possessed them but actually used them on his own people. Right, wrong, or indifferent. Now the Iraqi army can’t project any power not only on their own people but on other people as well.

We went after Iraq because Saudi’s supposedly took us out on 9/11, so we took out Iraq and sold Saudi’s more weapons to cause mass genocide in Yemen.

It’s all a load a crap,

and Republicrats are far more terroristic than Saddam ever was. If anything we need to take out the ability of both Demicans and Repunlicrats ability to project power.

Republicrat (and Demican) policies have caused the deaths of over a million Iraqi’s, so not sure how relevant the method is, gas, bombs, nuclear waste, sanctions and starvation, as Hitlery would say what different does it make.

You don’t solve a Holocaust with a Holocaust. You try to modernize them like China. They murdered 70-100 million people and in 73 Nixon reached out to them and although they still are an evil dictatorship, it’s a hell of a lot better there.

I’m straight tinfoil, all those middle eastern wars are 100% corrupt military industrial complex profit taking, Halliburton, oil and other resources. I can pick out a dozen more countries that have worse problems but they don’t have the resources for us to steal in profit for us to intervene. I’d bet cancer on myself if I was wrong, I’m that confident.

100% corrupt military is a stretch. You’re on to something in parts of what you said. To say we are out there solely to feed the military industrial complex or for oil is incorrect. The military takes part in counter piracy, anti human trafficking, surveillance, and assists in training of foreign militaries to better snuff out problems in their own countries. Our civil affairs presence in developing countries is huge and unfortunately gets little to no attention as compared to us dropping warheads on foreheads.

I get that, but Islam is billions strong. Only a very, very small minority take certain texts at that extreme.

Most religions have a sect that is violent or extremist, but you don't punish the whole for the part, that's how you end up fostering resentment among everyone, even those who were not your enemy initially. Violence only breeds resentment and retribution when the target feels it is unjust.

If you are going to name a terrorist you may as well name the king of them all. And by the way Indonesia is slam full of terrorists as well. Look at the spillover with the abu sayaf and MILF in the Sulu region of PI and the foreign fighters crossing over from Indonesia. No Islamic country can with a straight face say they are free from radical Islamic terrorists in some form or fashion.

I think an even more radical cult than Isam are the Communist CCP.

They are borderline as bad as the Nazi's. Instead of throwing a group of people in ovens, they found a way to make tons of cash off of humans. First they put them to labor and when the organ orders come in they put the matching donor on life support first, then they give them a shot to kill them so the organs stay nice and fresh.

But they are our trading buddies and morality is thrown out the door.

Much, much less. Probably closer to 0.01% by a number of estimates.

I've heard the 100M number being circulated before but haven't actually seen an accurate source for that other than someone saying intelligence agencies estimate that.

A good analogy is that if you put red ants and black ants in a container, they will walk idly by each other. If you then shake the container, the red and black ants will fight, because they each believe the other to be responsible for the disturbance. But who is the one actually shaking the container?

If people are pitted against each other, both sides further the divide because they can each pursue their agendas. If people are kept scared of radicalism, then they are much more likely to endorse more military conquest in those areas. The US found out what happens when you lose the faith of the public the hard way, and they won't like to repeat those mistakes
