Again, he can't see this but just to quickly highlight something:

The people complaining that people withdraw from the Olympics because of how other people make them feel, are the same people who cancel, mute block and ignore those who have opposing views on a message board.

At the end of the day, isn't being free the ability to do both of those things? If you say that 'snowflakes melt in water', yet block people and threaten to cancel them because dislike their views, aren't you just as much of a snowflake?

We don't agree on a lot, but we are discussing highly controversial and divisive topics.

If we discussed normal interests, we'd probably have more in common than we realise.

Heck, I don't agree with the views of some of my closest friends but we are still friends.

We are all fitness and supplement industry family here, thats the way I look at it. We should all support one another no matter how heated we can get over certain issues.

Yeah sure, the US gave him the chemical weapons in the 80s when they were financing both sides of their war with Iran, and who are we to tell him what he can or can’t have? They had nothing to do with 9/11 and we shared similar enemies. Why not nuke China? They are far more dangerous than Saddam shythead and his Chicago thug army lol

You’re moving goal posts. The question wasn’t who gave him WMDs. The question was do you not believe he was in possession of them. We went after him because he not only possessed them but actually used them on his own people. Right, wrong, or indifferent. Now the Iraqi army can’t project any power not only on their own people but on other people as well.

Philosophically speaking, are you suggesting a independent country with a history of foreign invasions and wars need not have a powerful and viable military capabilities?

Republicrat (and Demican) policies have caused the deaths of over a million Iraqi’s, so not sure how relevant the method is, gas, bombs, nuclear waste, sanctions and starvation, as Hitlery would say what different does it make.

You don’t solve a Holocaust with a Holocaust. You try to modernize them like China. They murdered 70-100 million people and in 73 Nixon reached out to them and although they still are an evil dictatorship, it’s a hell of a lot better there.

I’m straight tinfoil, all those middle eastern wars are 100% corrupt military industrial complex profit taking, Halliburton, oil and other resources. I can pick out a dozen more countries that have worse problems but they don’t have the resources for us to steal in profit for us to intervene. I’d bet cancer on myself if I was wrong, I’m that confident.

100% corrupt military is a stretch. You’re on to something in parts of what you said. To say we are out there solely to feed the military industrial complex or for oil is incorrect. The military takes part in counter piracy, anti human trafficking, surveillance, and assists in training of foreign militaries to better snuff out problems in their own countries. Our civil affairs presence in developing countries is huge and unfortunately gets little to no attention as compared to us dropping warheads on foreheads.

I forgot about one of the main global missions: disaster relief and aid as well as medical assistance. Last time I checked it was a 52:1 ratio of support vs combat jobs in the military.

I get that, but Islam is billions strong. Only a very, very small minority take certain texts at that extreme.

Most religions have a sect that is violent or extremist, but you don't punish the whole for the part, that's how you end up fostering resentment among everyone, even those who were not your enemy initially. Violence only breeds resentment and retribution when the target feels it is unjust.

What is the Estimate for radical Islamic views at nowadays? 10%? That’s what 100 million nutcases that are wishing for the destruction of non Muslims? It is also the only major religion that has not gone through reformation. As of right now I will err on the side of caution and treat it like the cult I know it to be.

Look at the spillover with the abu sayaf and MILF in the Sulu region of PI and the foreign fighters crossing over from Indonesia. No Islamic country can with a straight face say they are free from radical Islamic terrorists in some form or fashion.

I think an even more radical cult than Isam are the Communist CCP.

They are borderline as bad as the Nazi's. Instead of throwing a group of people in ovens, they found a way to make tons of cash off of humans. First they put them to labor and when the organ orders come in they put the matching donor on life support first, then they give them a shot to kill them so the organs stay nice and fresh.

But they are our trading buddies and morality is thrown out the door.

Much, much less. Probably closer to 0.01% by a number of estimates.

I've heard the 100M number being circulated before but haven't actually seen an accurate source for that other than someone saying intelligence agencies estimate that.

A good analogy is that if you put red ants and black ants in a container, they will walk idly by each other. If you then shake the container, the red and black ants will fight, because they each believe the other to be responsible for the disturbance. But who is the one actually shaking the container?

If people are pitted against each other, both sides further the divide because they can each pursue their agendas. If people are kept scared of radicalism, then they are much more likely to endorse more military conquest in those areas. The US found out what happens when you lose the faith of the public the hard way, and they won't like to repeat those mistakes

Call me crazy, but 20 years of playing with Muslims of all backgrounds, ideals, and levels of commitment to their cult, They aren’t that far apart on either side of their spectrum. Are there good ones I consider friends? Yes. Would I trust my life to one? **** no. I always tell people dealing with Muslims is kind of like having a pet tiger, they maybe friendly and tolerate your existence, but that’s not to say that even the friendliest of tigers wouldn’t one day decide to bite your head off.
