Won't even attempt to discuss the commercial real estate aspect, its a blind spot for me for sure. However I'd imagine just a basic EBITDA analysis of the businesses themselves wouldn't help with strong valuations to pay off the alleged debt due. Just my .02c
To your point, would 2B and 200B matter to the average American? Absolutely not, theyre buried either way. I think I mispresented my point though if this is where you think I was headed.
Say you're a foreign power trying to gain some influence and power within the US, would you rather our president owe you 300M or a former VP's son owe you 3.5? Which better serves your ulterior motive?
That is where my heads at with this mess.
This is where I'd like to see the actual facts/statements....you might be right, I don't know because I don't have any real facts on it. Did they provide actual returns, statements, anything? From what I saw it was just an unsubstantiated source making claims?
It could be a sham businesses with a loan that is backed by nothing - in which case Trump has very little to worry about as there is no recourse for the lender. Being the leader of the US makes this even worse for the lender because, well, he has the ability for leverage.
More likely though, there are assets backing those loans - like a hotel, or group of hotels, etc. and then those lenders could and probably do have some recourse - and he may have personal guarantees which could wipe him out completely if he doesn't have the assets to cover it. But hey, then he's wiped out. And if he owes $350M and everything he has won't cover it, that's a win for him and a loss for the lender. I'll tell you what, give me $2,000,000 today and then come and take everything I have tomorrow. I'd do that deal. Let's see who has the leverage when you call me tomorrow and I have $2,000,000 in my pocket
And that could work for Biden too - but the question is, why did they give that money to Hunter? What was involved? And it seems like he had a lot of ongoing relationships like this, so what was the status there?
Also, keep in mind that the woman who gave him the money HAS that money because of government ties that would be highly unacceptable in this country - she got the money through corruption, but we should believe it was all on the up-and-up with a Biden involved.
Right and I'm sure people would be happy to argue that point. I just prefer a certain level of tact in those who represent our country on a global stage, I may be an outlier there.
This is fair, but he's out stating the truth at least. If we had someone who would state the truth AND was a better speaker that would be great. But I would take a jerk who speaks the truth (Trump) over a well-spoken guy smiling in my face and feeding me lies (think O'Biden). Is there room for improvement? Sure. Do we have a better option? Unfortunately we don't have anyone who gives us the cake and lets us eat it too.
But think about this - Do you think a man who needs his wife to stand up for him when he is asked about how he says stupid things, can't handle tough talk during a debate, and lies all the time is a good representation for us? What is going to happen when Kim Jong Un pushes him? Is he going to call him a clown or tell him to shut up? It isn't like he hasn't lost it in the same way against American citizens before - offering to take them outside, etc.
Or maybe he negotiates a contract that says Two Thousand Million instead of Two Million. That would be great.
everyone always talks about honesty but when you give it to them they whine like little snowflakes, lol.
We want you to be honest, but not be so mean about it. Don't call me a liar just because I'm lying. I prefer "stretcher".
Is there not a way to be honest without calling someone's country a shithole? That's so interesting to me that you justify it by saying well, it was honesty and if you don't like it, you're a snowflake. Don't you find throwing out those labels to justify your own stance a bit lazy?
There's an infinite amount of other ways he could have more accurately stated what he meant, displayed some semblance of compassion, etc....and you chalk it up to honesty and the rest of us being snowflakes for wanting a leader with more depth than that? ugh lol Brutal man haha
Don't you think the commander in chief deserves to be held to a higher standard than that?
Ok, your argument is, to me at least, better than the people who jump straight to the race card on this one. So he should have said, "Haiti is a horrible place to live." and left it at that. But would you say that to your friends? He isn't trying to polish anything up or pretend to be someone he is not. You know what he means. Diplomacy has its merits though, I will give you that. I'm not sure this is such a big deal though.
Yah...like half the people ITT when you tell them they’re completely full of shît
I resemble that remark.
100% man - the peace in the middle east, unemployment, improved the war on crime. I'm not anti-trump just for the sake of it like the other sheeple. I simply think we can STILL do better despite all of it, that the best country in the world has people in it that would better represent our potential, the breadth of diverse people that live here, and lead us into a more prosperous future. That's all broski - I hear you though.
I hear you on the bold part. Probably right. Unfortunately, I think he's by far the best option we have to choose from. Look at the opposition and **** he has been put through in the last 4 years. The best in this country do not want his job.
