And just to clarify, my real answer is if you want to deal with the headaches of innovation, do it right and get a lawyer. Most people dont follow the process, just follow the process and deal with it because some company especially in China will rip you off. People's own suppliers will rip you off if you dont do it the right away.

Amazon isnt that bad, your lawyer will send the proper documents assuming you went through the process correctly. If they are being challenging you have to make a choice, either fight it or move on to the next thing and keep using the system as there is no reason you cant succeed and continue to make money on it. Unless you have something sophisticated its probably not going to be a huge court case anyways but I dont know enough about that part of it.

You would have more money to pay for these kinds of things since your income would be higher in the first place to afford it since the IRS isnt stealing 1/3rd of your life away in the first place, and also it would be more fair not to steal from hundreds of millions of people for a service they arent in need of in the first place. If you have something good go spend the money and dont expect other people to pay it for you.

Get a loan, talk to a bank, friends....talk to some investors, go on kickstarter or something. Get a 2nd job and work overtime and make these funds happen. Cook more at home, drive less. I mean I dunno what else to tell you, take a business course?

Amazon is stealing from who? Anyone can take a Solomino product, copy it, private label it and with online marketing techniques, copywriting, facebook ads make money and list it side by side with Solomino on their search engines. If its a basic generic product its easy to do.

Its impossible to avoid that, and you cant stop it. You can get brand registry, trademarks, etc...and Amazon will help product most people in most cases, the biggest danger is China including your own supplier or people working there that are monitoring everything.
The negativity on Amazon is significantly amplified.
Im not saying stealing is right, but you have to protect yourself and be responsible for yourself and my message is even with imperfections there is no reason you cant succeed on Amazon.
I had my best product line Apple taken away from me over a year ago and it crushed me....Apple made a deal with Amazon to kick all 3rd party sellers from selling Apple unless they were certified multimillon dollar sellers. Its not like I havent had drama before seeing my middle class income quickly vaporize before I worked hard to re-invent myself and make something new and different with it. Actually, Im off to a record breaking year so far the first 2 months without Apple products..

It depends on what product your developing. It sounds like you have a more complicated niche. I wish you the best of success and I hope you truly kill it and benefit others along the way.
As to the why would anyone buy from a start up vs an established brand? I dunno, why do some people apply to work a cash register and some people store stock? Everyone has their own uniqueness, strengths and ideas. Personally Id stay away from that and simply use whats already there although I do have some small private label ideas for down the road.

Before I go for the minute, no I dont think stealing IP is cool at all. Im just focusing on problem solving and solutions. Ive learned in life not to let setbacks and adversaries get in my way, and when they do I have to deal with it and move on and find ways to succeed in the system.
Im all for the right reforms to make things better for inventors and other various trademark protections and having your hard work with your product development protected.

Id tell people wtf is it with this pollution, everybody and I mean everybody there would just tell me it was just the weather. Id saw wtf what weather? This isnt weather? "Well, its just the weather."
Then in the early to mid 2010s CCTV Commie news in China started this war on pollution and all the sudden the "weather" magically became pollution and people always bought of this "pollution" at the dinner table as a conversation breaker the way we do with the weather here in the states. This is true up until today.
Now what do I do in China? When people tell me about pollution, I tell them everything is fine and its just the weather, there is nothing to worry about. Get funny looks, dunno why?

I bought gallon jugs of hand sanitizer on bulk apothecary, $50 a gallon plus shipping. Sign up get a coupon code in email, no need to spend $250 for 15%. It came out to $42 a bottle for me plus ship/tax. Ive always been a clean freak when it comes to germs anyways and I cant go without it. Been like this for years. There is nothing worse in life than missing time in the gym, lol. Finding hand sanitizer in this state is extremely difficult.

We can't really compare it to anything though because we still don't know what direction the coronavirus is going to go. Anybody that claims "nothing to see here" or "the sky is falling" is lying because we simply don't know. As of today though, at least one pharma company (Takeda, and they just started working on a COVID-19 therapy) grounded their employees from travel and have told them to work from home. We've had several medical institutions restrict travel of their doctors to speaking engagements and I know of at least one major cardiology conference that has been cancelled that was supposed to be the end of this month. To me it seems like overkill for what we've been told, but I think a lot of places don't want to be known as the event where this thing blew up.
More than just deaths though, I don't think this is going to show how not so great our medical system is when they start getting overcrowded and also how maybe it does make sense to make sure the world is healthy. That actually does come back in part to pollution, but I just don't see people largely agreeing with that until it's too late.

I wonder what how people will react if there becomes a mandated vaccine here in the USA. I might comply, although I have my issues with pharma, I also have more confidence rolling the dice and going along with medical doctors and scientists in the USA than making my own opinionated decisions.
Here in NY His Majesty King Cuomo just warranted himself emergency management powers. He was on TV here saying that and Il paraphrase "if we ask you to "voluntarily self quarantine" that you should do so, or else we may do something about it...soooo, just volunteer." Lol, this is what we deal with here with His Majesty.
I mean personally, I would just self quarantine, thats not my point but the way it came across was hilarious.
Im not scared at all of Corona, I know it will suck but its more than likely almost impossible to kill me. I do worry about spreading it though and thats not cool, but I dont want to spread the regular flu either which also kills alot of people.
There are some good things coming out of the emergency powers, they are going hardcore against price gouging. Yeah Im the freemarket supply/demand guy but doing this in this situation I wont complain as people are total douches. Wow, I never thought I would be for less government on a topic than you lol. I'm fine if people want to sell a bar of soap for $50, but I'm also for taking names and boycotting that store later once everything is back to normal. I've seen the government do it by having a higher tollway fee during heavy traffic or during rush hour, so why not citizens?

This is where I also say your not wrong....Im just leaning in a certain way slightly in a medical crisis. I dont think Coronaviris is a "crisis" situation, and if its prevented from truly being so perhaps nobody will ever get credit.
I do want people to both afford and not lose incentives to clean their hands in this situation and help protect the general public. Its really easy to inform people how to make homeade hand sanitizer I guess, just need rubbing alcohol and aloe very gel and your done. But then maybe that gets gouged, lol.
This is different than a highway hike during rush hour, but I get your point 100% and dont have it in my heart to debate you down.
Maybe the more optimal solution for medical situations is simply government preparedness and having a system in place that they can always supply the public with whats needed in a medical outbreak or even bio-warefare/terrorist attack kind of like they have bottled water supplies in storage. You can criminalize the resale of emergency supply possibly, maybe? It can be paid for by taxing Wallstreet speculators!!!!!!! LOL but then people have to pay to go to college Bernie! I kid, I kid but our stolen money can certainly be spent more wisely to serve the public.

How do you feel about people simply going to the store and clearing out the shelves just so they can sell it on eBay and Amazon during a time of crisis for personal gains? Your not going to be able to boycott much of anything in this case.
On another note, Amazon took their own action to self police and send mass notification to sellers not to price gouge and if caught they were taking seller accounts down a few days ago.
The problem here is usually this all starts happening before most stores realized what was going on and able to put purchase limits on their products, but at some point they at least can try like my local grocery store. Im sure many others took action independently as well.

I'm fine with that too, but totally respect selling places like Amazon or Ebay to regulate prices if it's done through their site. Saying all of this, I would never do it myself and believe in helping others. I don't believe in karma as an actual thing, but I do think that being good to others goes a long way.

Yeah, as much as I am against welfare of any kind, I do think it makes sense to have emergency supplies. I also think it makes sense to put money into making sure that everybody is kept healthy and immunized, including other countries. Ultimately, it's not even altruistic because it's something that helps keep us healthy as well. And of course there is a difference between paying for all of it and simply helping support or organize programs to promote health and sanitation in other countries. Or even exchanging scientific and medical knowledge.
It's like public schools. Do I think the US government has to provide education to children? Nope. Do I think it's something we should do because it's a good idea and benefits everybody to have educated citizens? Hell yes.

I've met and spoken with quite a few people that claim they voted for Trump because he speaks his mind, so who knows. I just said that to my wife this morning. Especially if this extends into the summer and fall, which it could. I can picture either party putting it on the table, but it's the Republicans, or rather Trump, who would benefit the most. However, that is a risk for people that believe in things like democracy and the Constitution, but other than part of the second amendment, the morons don't seem to care.

They can't do it in time for this election. There's too many levels to get through to establish and validate a system that everybody agrees on. Plus, not everybody has the internet or uses it. They could possibly do absentee/mail for everybody, but again you'd have to get states to agree.
