I don't need any brake rotors or pads, but thanks ;)

More great news from Dumps policy (not including his flight ban thing, lol) along with his lobby ban in his administration, now to decrease beuracry for every new regulation on business we must remove 2.

The USA has been very open for Muslims coming here and there is no reason to believe the contrary will be true moving forward other than over reactions to rather mild war time policies.

Except you aren't officially at war, and haven't been since WW2. So in regards to a previous comment where you said that the US rounded up Japanese civvies during WW2 where you were actually in a state of war, that is entirely different to now when you are actually officially in a state of peace (although you sure don't act like you are lol).

Yes, I know that's a cop out and you are at war without officially saying so, I just found that funny.

Obama didn't specifically exclude Muslims specifically like Trump, though.

Trump straight up said that he would let Christian refugees in before Muslim refugees.

That's factually incorrect btw. Trump didn't ban Muslims. He halted entry to everyone from those 7 countries that Obama named as the highest risk countries for terrorism. The main exception being a religious refugee claim if person is of a minority religion in that country. As well as exceptions for folks with Visas and green cards and case by case exemptions.

Someone needs to review their US history if they are going to make claims. :)

If that's true, then why does he prioritize Christian refugees from those countries?

He (falsely) claimed that Christians couldn't gain entry in his CBN interview, when almost the same number of Christians as Muslims have entered as refugees. That's pretty astonishing, considering they are Muslim majority countries, don't you think?

From the article:

"The Obama administration did formally accuse ISIS of carrying out a genocide against religious minorities, including Christians in Iraq and Syria. Offices at the State Department have been involved in the U.S. response, though this did not include putting Christians at the top of the line for the U.S. resettlement program.

But here's the reality: While Christians in Iraq and Syria have been killed by ISIS, Muslims have been the group's victims far more frequently and represent the strong majority. Shiite Muslims are killed by ongoing waves of ISIS bombings of Shiite neighborhoods and Shiite members of Iraq's security forces have been victim to mass ISIS executions.

But even as ISIS claims it fights for Sunni Islam, fellow Sunni Muslims have also been killed and displaced in greater numbers than Christians. That's, in part, because ISIS operates most in Sunni areas. Hundreds of thousands of Sunnis have been displaced from ISIS areas, as Sunnis, who try to oppose the group or have ties to the Iraqi government, are targeted.

And, Muslims have fought ISIS more than anyone else. This includes Kurdish Sunnis and Arab Sunnis and Shiites, who are on the front lines and often allied with U.S. advisers in the battle against ISIS, as well as Turkmen Muslims. Some of the most horrific videos from ISIS have shown the killing of Sunni Muslims who have fought the group, like a Jordanian pilot and Turkish troops shown burned alive.

Certainly, it's the case that Christians were terrified of ISIS and fled. ISIS has desecrated churches and shrines. Some Christians have lived in ISIS-controlled areas and paid a tax to the terrorist group. And there have been Christians killed and kidnapped — 88 Eritrean Christians from Libya who were kidnapped by ISIS in 2015 two months after 28 Ethiopian Christians were executed; 262 Assyrian Christians kidnapped from the Tel Tamer area in Syria and held for ransom; 50 killed in Tel Tamer in suicide bombings.

But that pales in comparison to the mass murder of Muslims — massacres in Iraq; 1,700 Iraqi air force cadets executed or missing from Camp Speicher, a former American military base near Tikrit; the slaughter of hundreds of the al-Sheitat tribe in Syria; and the massacre of Syrian army POWs at Tabqa in 2014.

That's not to mention the hunting down of Yezidis."

Assad has also been protecting Christians in Syria specifically.

After Obama was given the Nobel Peace Prize he said, "War is Peace." I guess we cant even declare wars anymore because it would mean we are also in a state of peace. Damn this is all screwed up, peace is peace, war is peace... cant win no matter what state the country is in now, its nothing but peace here, lol

87% of muslims are exempt from the no travel list. Biggest muslim country in the world is Indonesia...banning travel is clearly nothing to do with religion.

If Hitler invades Poland wouldnt you prioritize Jewish refugees?

I dunno what Dump is thinking, doesnt matter but it would only make common sense to me to prioritize Christians in these regions

Technically he's correct. The last time America actually "declared war" was WWII. ;)

Maybe you're the one who needs a U.S. history review ;)

I know in recent times the executive have been illegally bypassing congress for war powers to seek approvals from nato by labeling wars as "kinetic" actions instead...but Im shocked Iraq isnt on the official war declaration list, or vietnam...this is weird.

As it says in that article (which I'm guessing you didn't read) most of the victims of ISIS are Muslims, specifically Shiite Muslims, not Christians.

Vietnam was a "conflict", Iraq was an authorized "military action". I know it's semantics, but it still matters, LOL. It is VERY weird.

Im working and also watching last nights Royal Rumble so sorry I honestly didnt get into it...lol

Ill just say muslims #1 have primarily been victims of US policy and the military industrial complex....then they wanna come here? Guess they have no clue as to whats going on.

I can also guess off the top of my head the muslims would be first and for most the victims of ISIS because they are the majority population of course.

It's a technicality, but you are not officially at war with any nation

Well, in Syria Assad has been specifically protecting Christians.

They want to come here because we don't bomb or attack our own country, I guess, LOL. That and I think that people from periphery nations see the U.S. as a place where they can go to succeed. If they're here they aren't getting bombed by us ;)

Anyone see the ridiculous #BoycottStarbucks because of the refugee hiring thing?

As a private company they have a right to hire anybody that is lawfully allowed to, but I can see how in America with so many unemployed how this would tick people off. I personally am not supporting the boycott, but I do think this is a shoddy move by Starbucks.

Leftist polititions were all to jump the gun on the terrorist attack in Canada last night.....blame Dump, blame muslim haters, etc....

Now that its out they are muslims from Morocco that just liberal leftist extremists up real quick.

This morning it was all over CiaNN website, now its not in our faces anymore. Nothing buy propaganda and hypocrisy from media and leftists.

Eh, people can buy or not buy from whoever they want, regardless of the reasons. Hell, people have silly reasons for doing these things all the time. Honestly, it's probably a PR move on the part of Starbucks, and will get a lot of liberals to love them even more. Also, a business should be able to hire whoever they want, so why complain about it? They do also hire a lot of veterans, so that's not really a solid argument either, as they shouldn't have to hire only veterans. It did say this:
And we will start this effort here in the U.S. by making the initial focus of our hiring efforts on those individuals who have served with U.S. troops as interpreters and support personnel in the various countries where our military has asked for such support.
So it looks like they're not planning on hiring just random refugees out of nowhere just because they're refugees; that's bad business, and they're still in the game to make money of course.

It seems to me that Starbucks are usually located in urban areas. I know in TN there aren't any rural Starbucks, LOL. That may be incorrect, though.

I didnt read the entire article but I very much respect them hiring vets and their families. People that served our country should be at the top of the list for both job hiring, training and education imo.

Um, they haven't even released any more info yet as far as I can tell.

Does Alex Jones have a "correspondent" on scene? I didn't jump to conclusions when I heard about it.

I have also heard that one of the two gunmen wasn't even a gunman, but a witness.

I find it strange that only Fox and Infowars (probably Breitbart, but I didn't check) are the only ones talking about someone yelling Allahu Akbar. EDIT: I had to search some more, but that was reported on CBC.

How about all sides side need to stop jumping to conclusions until the investigation is complete? Left wing, right wing, wing-nut ;) People died, let's not make it a contest to see who can embarrass another political persuasion just because they can.

The left wing people need to stop blaming Trump as well, that's pretty idiotic actually.

Fake news is the best news. We are taking over the planet!

Anyone see the ridiculous #BoycottStarbucks because of the refugee hiring thing?

I have been trying to boycott starbucks for a while now. Not because of the fact that they want to hire refugees, but because of the fact their coffee is ridiculously over-priced. 3+ $ for an iced black coffee? GTFO

Haha, indeed! There's one right downstairs from me, and I've probably been in it twice in the 6 years I have been here. One time it was for something free, LOL.

I was actually shocked you said this, you gain not only some respect points but also deserve a gold star. Here, here it is just for you vvv :)

Well, it's true. Noone knows what is going on in those people's minds when they decide to do something like that. The people accusing Trump are violating the correlation equals causation rule, IMO.

Just because the ban was in place at the time doesn't mean Trump caused it.

How is hiring refugees in other countries "sticking it to Trump"?

I don't think it is, that's why it is ridiculous.

I misunderstood what you said at first, I think. Unless I'm misunderstanding you now. Are you saying that the 10,000 refugees being hired will be spread across all 75 countries that Starbucks is located in? If so, then I don't see how it is "sticking it to Trump".

Yes. They are going to hire them in many countries, including here. If you want to say you're going to hire 10,000 refugees in the US, then ok. You're the man. I'm still not going to go to a Starbucks.

Me neither, but it's not for ethical reasons. That stuff is WAY too expensive, like jswain34 said!

So now not only all Muslims share a common culture, but all speak the same language as well? Yes the Qur'an is written in Arabic, but not all Muslims speak Arabic.

Aleksandr is right, you know nothing about Islam or seemingly the world.
here is where things get really tricky....where does the responsibility of the host country to learn the culture of the immigrant end, and the immigrants responsibility to learn the host country's culture begin?

it just plain makes no sense to me that if our country is divided a corporation would take a side, thus risking alienating potentially half of their customers...in the words of forrest gump...'stupid is as stupid does'....

speaking of which...I USED to be a fan of Ashley judd.

Never said that.

IMO that's what a responsible human would do, attempt to learn the cultures of others that are in the world with us.

yes, but this must work both ways...from what I have seen the host countries are making much more effort towards adapting to the muslim culture among us than vise versa!!!

Looks like it wasn't really "jumping the gun", huh? ;) Seems like the opposite happened. People were quick to blame Muslims for something that was the doings of a right wing extremist.

Still not blaming Trump, though. Just because he was a Trump fan, doesn't mean that caused this atrocity. More than likely he needed mental health treatment.

Never said that.

IMO that's what a responsible human would do, attempt to learn the cultures of others that are in the world with us.

But when you learn to find out a particular culture doesnt value the same values and cultures of others then what?

That's pretty far-fetched. Example?

Try making it through alone in each of the 7 countries on the ban list....start with Somalia, I bet you wont make it to country #2 assuming you dont have armed security and heavy duty armored transportation.
