So I’m having trouble understanding what the impending Inauguration Day is supposed to represent under these circumstances. It’s traditionally the culminating event to celebrate our elective democracy. In an election year when that didn't occur, what is the point of Inauguration Day? Especially when the government is preparing for it as if the White House, and state capitals nationwide will be overthrown by stormtroopers.

Is this supposed to be a celebration? A great deal of people are disgusted by it, so why flood the news with an event that is only a slap in the face to so many Americans. At this point, just do the transition behind our backs to at least keep up some level of consistency. Sadly, I think a great deal of people will only watch the event to see if “something happens.” This so happens to be the only reason I will attempt to watch any of it. Honestly, I don’t anticipate getting very far though without wanting to throw myself down a flight of stairs.

Its just a political shyt show and total psychops operation, I can see it clearly. This has nothing to do with the inauguration but a message to the 10s of million of minions and fudds that the domestic terrorism is going to cause mass genocide and if the government doesnt strip more of our rights people will die, so the sheep bend over backwards and comply.

Here is a question: When, only a few months ago, Trump was accused of hosting "Super Spreader" events, why is it now OK to spend millions upon millions of taxpayer dollars in an Inauguration Event that is equally likely to cause the spread of the virus? Why is it OK for Biden, but not for Trump? Why is this event even being held under these circumstances since COVID-19 is so deadly? Isn't this an example of unnecessary pomp and circumstance just to praise those in power? Could this same inauguration have been done in a small and controlled environment and televised? Why was this never considered? Why is no one asking these questions.

What were you really expecting...at the heart of the nationwide lockdowns where police were going around giving people tickets just for being less than 6' away from someone else on the street were all the protests, but as we all found out its different rules for different folks. They have been out all over NYC especially the 2000's. Ive seen them myself at airports armed, but usually 3 to 5 of them. I know they have been in bigger groups in Manhatten and in subways, bus stations, etc....

All mail in ballots cast besides those of traditional absentee ballot process are not legal as policy changes put in place in the States in regards to Federal Election changes must be done through the legislative branch, not as an executive action. There is a reason the system of checks and balances were put in place, you cant just say Im the Governor and even though the law requires the legislative branch to change laws I hereby change that law so this and that will be done.

I couldn’t ever figure out why they draw this comparison. Our soldiers are from the US and we never deploy all our forces or even most of our forces at the same time. So of course there will always be more soldiers here than down range, even at the peak of combat operations. Or am I overthinking this?

Brother you are talking my language today, I'm half Irish half English but my English dad was never there so i identify strongly with my Irish heritage even though i grew up entirely in England, one thing i like about Ireland as a nation is they've had so much **** and so much discrimination from the English, in England and even in their own country but they've mostly moved on, they don't cry about reparations for something that happened just 50 years ago much less 2 centuries ago they're just moving forward and smashing it.
