Donald Trump running for president

I am a alcoholic, I started drinking when I was 13 and during my youth in the 70's used a wide variety of drugs. I went thru an extensive in-treatment at the VA and got sober and clean. I learned something interesting while going thru rehab, it seems there are those of us who have a gene that makes it more likely to become addicted. I could have used this as a crutch and said it's not my fault, I was born to be a drunk. instead I knew how destructive my behavior was to myself and the ones who loved and cared about me, and fought to gain sobriety. it was a tough fight, wasn't instant success but I stuck with it and today I am approaching my 20th year of sobriety...now you want to talk about pride!!! pride is something you earn, it isn't given just for being who you are.

I am still a alcoholic, but for today at least I chose not to drink....just because I sometimes might feel the urge to drink does not mean I have to act on it, drinking was the most natural thing in the world to me, I had to give up many friends and change my lifestyle completely. I honestly felt like a fish out of water[pun intended]not drinking.

my old counselor willie told me that you are a alcoholic if drinking is causing problems in your life....feel free to interpret this as you will....

Great job man. I thought losing weight was hard. I do blame cortisol though...just read earlier in this post. Haha.

The thing is, we have be one so good at surviving as a society, that most people nowadays aren't good at anything. We don't accomplish things on our own anymore. People have become helpless. And because we lack that sense of accomplishment, we have to rely on anything that makes us "different" to identify our individuality.

^^^ This is reason to be proud.

Overcame all kinds of addictions myself, now I found a new one: Iron.
cons:
-costs a lot of money (supps, memberships,AAS)
-ruins your health (joints,liver,balls)
-cant easily reach my ass anymore
Pros:
-you don't have to snort your protein powder
-you may get strong
-smaller man avoid eye contact

if Obama wanted to do something productive he could proclaim a national recovery day to celebrate those who have overcome addictions...addictions are a way more serious problem than what bathroom gays can use, imo....Obama doesn't like to tackle tough issues, he would rather focus on issues which are divisive like gay rights, and black lives matter.

lol...I spent a whole lot of time at the gym in my early days of recovery, the VA even had a really decent gym while I was in rehab.

Well, I'm not gay so idk what that last bit was about. Also, why do you has so much dislike for people who are gay? They've been called evil by the Christian extremist for how long now? Seems like those billboards and sexuality in movies and such makes you uncomfortable. I wonder how the gay people have felt for the last however many years that there have been straight sexuality plastered everywhere in media? But I guess their feelings(the same ones you have in terms of different sexualities on display) don't matter. How about you wake up, each day, live your life, and stop worrying about how others live?

Nothing I said was directed at you, my bad for going off on a tangent. Last part was a generalization to all LGBT.

I can respect what you've done in overcoming a deathly addiction but that doesn't mean you should belittle the rights and disrespect others. How focusing on the a issue like gay rights or on systemic racism not a tough issue?

Also, in terms of addiction...

#1. black lives matter IS racist, imo
#2. less than 4% of americans are gay, it seems if you have a limited amount of resources you would want to effect a broader proportion of the population...69 people were shot in Chicago last weekend and no one mentions it, but say something about gays and people like you are all over it. I can think of many more issues of more urgency that could be addressed than bathrooms!!!
#3. talk of your personal experiences rather than relying on google, don't you know how to think for yourself?

I bet NutraChem is dark haired too. Tell me I'm wrong.

Well, your close! But it's still not a good statistical correlation because Pat and I are quite dissimilar in many ways too. No disrespect intended, it's not his fault that i'm just a little better than him, just sayin'. :D

But I'm technically half blond, half black, half mezican and half asian. And that's like 1.5 men too many for any of these fools to F with. lol

I completely agree, why laws are being passed in states(north Carolina) dictating where someone pees is beyond me. Guess they turn the other cheek whenever someone mentions how nearly half a million people die annually in the US from tobacco use, and North Carolina supplies 40% of Tobacco in the US but I digress.

I think you know how a conversation with a progressive would go on the topic of gun control so.

Also, if I were to use my own experience and not use national and worldwide statistics, facts and reasoning I would have a very ignorant view on the world. Seeing as I'm a liberal in the Bible Belt I would have a pretty crappy opinion on all extreme Christians and people of the older generations. But instead I use the technology that we have to research certain topics that I would like to be more informed on. But if that makes you say "I'm not thinking for myself" and you aren't using the available data that you can find at your fingertips, are you really thinking for yourself? Or just using anecdotal evidence to support your reasoning on every topic ever.

I'm blond. One of my professors told me I can't talk about discrimination (the topic of the lecture at the time) because I "look like an Aryan." Completely serious too.

Maybe you should enlighten him that basing his suggestion on what you look like is the definition of discrimination, so he's being blatantly hypocritical to even offer such an absurdity. Then politely tell him that you associate as a non-aryan, so he can kiss your black azz! ;)

no no no...I am talking about posting up a googled study without giving your thought on it. geez...studies can be misleading, or can be slanted. even statistics can be argued over-take the unemployment rate for example!!!

I can find studies and statistics on google all by myself, what I like about this thread is the personal views and interpretations.

I would really appreciate if you post a study, that you also include your viewpoint of it.

Tell him you may look like an Aryan, but he acts like an idiot. Then challenge him to fail you.

This directly correlates to what I was saying before about expanding government. The more laws, the mor confusing things are to the average citizen, the larger government has to be and the more control they get. So they make seemingly stupid laws that create regulations that they have to increase resources to regulate. It's a wonderful system to take part in if you are getting paid. It grows itself and you never have to achieve anything.

I don't know why kids put up with this crap now, but his opinion is equally valid to anybody else in the class! The world is just as much his as it is mine and yours and the next person.

Never let some b!tch ass professor convince you that you owe anybody anything, because you don't. On the same token, nobody owes you anything either! Equality- it must go both ways or there is none.

you wouldn't believe the liberal crap that is being taught in schools today, it is the main reason why home schooling is becoming so popular.

I just came back to say f^ck off to all you mass murdering supporting motherf^ckers in here again. F^ck you all... Lost respect for half the a$$holes in here. Adios c^nts. Been fun while it's lasted.

You mad bro?
Gutterpump, you do know the bombs were dropped in order to cripple an enemy who specializes in genocide right?

So, we would have been less supportive of mass murder if we didn't support an action that stopped genocide? Where you going with this.

And I wouldn't really expect you to have any respect for @ssh@les to begin with???

Don't mind him, he's just trolling like usual.

This isn't trolling. If you support the use of nuclear weapons against an innocent populace then you're sick in the head. The f¥ck is wrong with all of you? Become worse than the enemy in order to defeat them? Y'all are fuvked. If I was ever friendly with any of you who believe in this type of logic and evil, then I take that all back. Done with this thread. Glad I got to meet a few good people in here though, but the rest of you dickheads can go circle jerk each other into oblivion.

So you are OK with all the innocent people that Japan slaughtered I guess. They needed to be stopped. And the US did what was necessary at the time.

Here is some material on the war crimes committed by Japan for decades. I know it won't sway your opinion but maybe you will actually take time to read into it.

did you say you were from Germany?

LOL, Shots fired!

Me: hissing like a vampire: "Not the holy water, please -don't!"

Nah, my point:
If a nation "deserves" to be nuked because of war crimes or unmorality, digging in the own yard may help to void this notion.

go back in history and every civilization and government I can think of has committed it's share of wrongdoings.

Considering Hiroshima had a large military presence, along with other factors, it was a viable military target.

Correct. As I remember, it was not the primary target. Do to unfavorable weather, the original target (forgot the name, begins with a "K") were overflown.

Wouldn't you agree, before killing 200.000 people in an instant (lot of civilians too) every other option should have been considered first?
I mean, Japan had a sea blockade and the population a famine at the time...

This topic is a very hot iron to handle and hijacks the trump threat. I'm in favor to let it go.

Edit: We can't undo it and I bet we all agree, that everything must be done to avoid that this happens again, right?

wow, I never even knew this...did it get a proclamation?

lol...thanks, alex!!!

I just didn't want you to think you weren't loved, although I'm not sure Hallmark makes cards for that lol. Seriously though, it is a big accomplishment and something to truly be proud of!

China's communists and Mao Tse Tung were far more worse of a government, they killed between 70 million and 100 million people. Nixon decided to hug it out and be BFF. And yes they invaded other countries of Tibet and Mongolia, war with India and harrased others. I know they killed 1 out of every 6 Tibetans. They were brutal and far worse than Japan. Doesnt mean the civilians should be Nuked and mass murdered to stop them. Im sure a Nuke over Beijing and taking Mao out would have killed several million only to save up to 100 million. That would have been more productive than the Japan bombings. Instead we opened up trade with them, modernize them and the country is in a much better position today.

Considering Hiroshima had a large military presence, along with other factors, it was a viable military target.

Its was a viable military target on America's own military as well which the government couldnt give a crap about when it comes to science. Thousands and thousands of soldiers were not only exposed to radiation during nuclear testing, but after the bombing of Hiroshima they let the troops go out and even camp near ground zero. Come back home feeling hit with depression? They will torture you by hosing you down with very hot water and cold water back and forth and drill your brain with a lobodomy, force you into insilin induced coma and other tortures.

Now, the Japanese scientists who committed the worst atrocities of the entire Japanese government, what happened to them? Japan would have the military drop chemical weapons in a chinese villages and the scientists would go out in chem suits and dissect Chinese people in the middle of the street and cut them open even if still alive in the name of science. That is brutal. They did much more brutal things too, I dont feel like explaining everything.

What happened to those scientists? Science > ethics. They got complete ww2 crime immunity and were welcomed by the American science community as they were drooling to have all that research shared. If anyone should have a nuke dropped on them the scientists should have been tied up in the middle of a desert and have radiation poured on them (no I really wouldnt do that.) Instead some of the most brutal devils of the entire war get rewarded for their hard work and research.

Not only were they given immunity the US government were a part of the cover up for them hiding evidence to protect them, etc....

Anyways, the point is, big government doesnt give a crap about people or its own military....they have no moral authority to bomb and mass murder 135,000 innocent civilians and have much more illness. National security and scientific research > than us, and they have no problem taking us out to if they have to.

You dont stop genocide by committing genocide.

But, I do respect other people's opinions and willing to tolerate differences :) I used to think the same way so I get it.
