Haha thanks...I really didnt think it was that hard to understand. Some threads just become a waste of time when people are more interested in jumping down your throat for every word you type rather than trying to help each other out.

Care to explain it to the rest if us then?

Maybe you can start with how comparing a naturally produced hormone is similar to a synthetic drug? Or maybe how heroine addiction is similar to low testosterone? Or how it is appropriate to compare heroine withdraw (which is a result of prolonged heroine usage) to low testosterone levels (which naturally decline with age)? How does heroine withdraw work and how is this similar to having low testosterone? Or maybe can you just explain to us how low testosterone occurs and how this is similar in any way to heroine use? Or how is treatment of a heroine addict similar to the treatment of hypogonadism?

Or just explain how the analogy made any sense whatsoever?

Point was it didnt. So why are we the bad guys? For correcting the the false statements made in a thread? For challenging the statements made? Maybe we should gave been quiet and let the idea that testosterone does cause liver cancer (even though there is no evidence to support this)? Or maybe we should have stayed quiet and let the idea that testosterone replacement therapy is just like heroine treatment? Maybe then we wont be dicks huh? If we just stay quiet and let the spread of false information to continue, maybe then we will be "cool" and not dicks huh?

I understand what he wanted to say.
someone can abuse steroids and could cause harm to thier hpta function permanently, and he feels people who do this shouldn't be helped.
And he feels this is similar to someone having a physical addiction to heroine, because they both caused it by using the drug.
But there is so much wrong with such a comparison that some like myself can't believe it was even thought to be said.
you will either recover and be fine, or die from withdrawal symptoms either way, they should be helped.
A person who is permanently shut down will not ever recover, and will have a lowered quality of life, they should also be helped as well.
Not to mention one can happen to any one, aas abuser or not.
You aren't ever going to go to the doc for a physical and have symptoms of low heroine.

Maybe you thought I was being sarcastic dude but I wasn't and in fact I said the complete opposite. Which is in either case both someone addicted to heroin or someone who hurt there hepatic fxn both deserve treatment irregardless. Medical professionals took an oath to help anybody in need. And just some background info for you, I am very qualified to make comments on hormone physiology and drug addiction since I deal with them on a daily basis at work.

Your comment would make sense if I was comparing natural decrease in testosterone with age but I wasn't. The subject matter dealt with steroid use induced low testosterone which you replace with iatrogenic testosterone. Do you understand now or do I need to dumb it down some more for you?

It really doesn't matter at this point .... Self-induced or not the hippocratic oath states a physician will first and foremost do no harm and also treat anyone seeking out help irregardless.
