While at the Walmart.. today, browsing through vitamins i stumbled upon dhea. I have read some conflicting evidence on the net and would like to hear more from those with real world experience.
By the way, anybody hear about the guy Trampled to Death at walmart?
The dhea was $5 50mg tabs (x60.)
so i snagged it. even if there are no perceiveable results whatsoever, it is worth the $5 to me just to find out firsthand.
At 20 years old, there are few hormone altering substances that i would feel comfortable sticking into my body, one reason is that i think there is a possibility that i may very well grow another inch or so in height and dont want to risk the rumored possible (premature?) growth plate closure. another reason being that my moods are already unstable as it is, im half crazy.
So, i have been taking zma for a bit longer than a year.
I have tried tribulus, even though most claim that it will do no good to ~20 somethings. I have not read one single article that indicates that the tribulus could have negative effects.
I started the trib at a heavy dose and went for a bit less than 2 weeks. after beginning i started feeling a bit tierd, not as horny as usual, strength didnt really decrease as far as i could notice, but i felt unusually sore for a lot longer than normal. so i quit it. I am unsure whether the tribulus could have made my test actually DROP slightly, could have well been caused by something else. at any rate i still have half left and am going to give it another swing sometime soon.
Which brings us to discuss DHEA.
a lot of people bash the stuff. others say it is great for those 35+ aged. Studies seem to suggest that it can have a slight impact on increasing memory and reducing cortisol levels.
there is not a lot of evidence that suggests that it has a significant effect in building muscle, inspite of the fact that it is an andro precursor....
There are no studies out there that were conducted on 20 year old subjects; Some claim that it wont do anything but convert to estrogen in the young.
Who has tried it, and what happened?
