Deadlifts. who does them??

I hear ya. Do ur thing man. I was just saying my piece. If u want to pollute yourself that's on u.

pollute? im sorry... but we all pollute ourselves every day.... from parabens and endocrine disruptors to genetically modified food (which im sure you know nothing about)

i eat 95% organic
i dont smoke
i dont drink alcohol
i try to live as clean as possible.... a few well planned low dose cycles arent going to kill me..

but seriously man, welcome to the forum... maybe at some point we could be able to help eachother .... thats why were here, all the arguments are fun and what not, but in the end.... we all are like-minded people and could learn from eachother

When I do dead lifts I leave them for the end of my workout. I care more to be fully warmed up, loosen up, focused. This is a dangerous exercise and if I have to take my time then I will and I want to be sure I'm not rushing or being eradic.

Usually I'll go more for volume and pyramid: 2 warm up sets 15-20 (I may even do a couple quick sets of hyperextension also), 2 sets 12-15, 1 set 8-10, drop back down to warm up weight for one more 15-20. I'lll still go to failure but I don't go too heavy. I also have a bad left wrist so I cant grip too much either.

Once in a while, and I mean a long while, I'll go real heavy building up to the 1RM.

Thanks. Yea it's all fun. People just have different views. But once people start criticizing others it's not fun anymore. We all have pride, it comes along with working out. But being humble is far more important. Because no matter what, there is always someone bigger and better. Good luck. And it seems like ur a good guy, u just let ur pride get in the way. That go's away as u get older.

And back to the main topic. Lol. I also do deads at the end of my back workout. I just find that it drains me too much, when I perform them at the beginning.

watching all these videos when dead lifting should you drop your ass to break 90 degrees at knee or is this form for more heavy 1rm stuff ?

It depends on where you can get an arch in your lower back, shoulders behind the bar, and maintain a hard tension in the hamstrings and glutes.

Its not an easy motion by any means. Some exercises can be picked up and click immediately. Dead lift is just the opposite - it takes a long time for you to truly find the natural form

I usually do them at the end, but a few weeks ago I tried it at the beginning and I was not able to finish my workout. I do deadlifts very intense at 4-8 reps and it completely exhausts me.

I usually deadlift first sometimes last and other days I just deadlift and leave. I swear by them my traps and rear delts have gotten significantly more defined since I've been doing them regularly even though it's more lower back. Most useful workout for the real world too I would say.

Thats kind of an old-school style that still many people follow: pick one compound/complex motion and do like 20 sets. Benchpress, squats, deadlifts, rows, leg press... big motions.
